Most Subscribed YouTube Channel: The Top 12 in October 2026

The most subscribed YouTube channel is MrBeast, with 524 million subscribers on YouTube's counter as of October 2026. T-Series, the Indian music label, is second with 316 million, so MrBeast is more than 200 million ahead.

I checked each of the biggest channels on YouTube itself on 27 October 2026 and read the subscriber count shown on its channel page. Here's the current top 12, plus a few things about these numbers that most lists don't tell you.

The top 12 YouTube channels by subscribers

RankChannelSubscribers (Oct 2026)Main language
1MrBeast524 millionEnglish
2T-Series316 millionHindi
3Cocomelon - Nursery Rhymes203 millionEnglish
4SET India190 millionHindi
5Vlad and Niki151 millionEnglish
6Stokes Twins149 millionEnglish
7Kids Diana Show138 millionEnglish
8KIMPRO135 millionKorean
9Like Nastya133 millionEnglish
10Alejo Igoa124 millionSpanish
11Zee Music Company123 millionHindi
12WWE114 millionEnglish

Just outside the top 12 sits PewDiePie at 109 million. YouTube's own official channel has 46.6 million, which tells you how far ahead of the platform itself its biggest creators are.

Why the subscriber counts look rounded

Look at any big channel and you'll see 524M or 316M rather than an exact number. YouTube's help centre explains why: the public sees a shortened subscriber count, and the bigger the channel, the less often it moves.

Channel sizePublic count updates every
Under 1,000 subscribers1 new subscriber
1,000 to 9,99910 new subscribers
10,000 to 99,999100 new subscribers
100,000 to 999,9991,000 new subscribers
1,000,000 to 9,999,99910,000 new subscribers
10,000,000 to 99,999,999100,000 new subscribers
100,000,000 to 999,999,9991,000,000 new subscribers

So every channel in this top 12 only ticks up in steps of a million. MrBeast's 524M could be anywhere from 524 million to just under 525 million. When two channels are close, like Vlad and Niki at 151 million and Stokes Twins at 149 million, the public counter can hide a change in order for a while. The channel owner sees the live, exact figure in YouTube Studio, under Analytics.

There's one more rule worth knowing. YouTube says closed accounts and subscribers it identifies as spam, such as bought subscribers, don't count toward a channel's total, so a big channel's number can drop as well as rise.

What the biggest channels have in common

  • Three post mainly in Hindi. T-Series, SET India and Zee Music Company are music and TV businesses from India with huge back catalogues.
  • Children are a big audience. Cocomelon - Nursery Rhymes and Kids Diana Show say who they're for in their names, and family viewing keeps them growing.
  • Only a few are individual creators. MrBeast, Stokes Twins, KIMPRO and Alejo Igoa are personalities rather than companies.
  • Language isn't a barrier. The top 12 includes channels posting in English, Hindi, Korean and Spanish.

The common thread is a format people recognise instantly and want to come back to. That matters far more than posting every day.

Most subscribed vs most viewed: not the same thing

These are two different leaderboards. A channel's subscriber count measures how many people chose to follow it, while views measure how much its videos get watched, including by people who never subscribe. Kids' channels and music labels often rack up far more views than their subscriber count suggests, because one family TV can play the same song hundreds of times.

If you're curious about the other leaderboard, I've broken down how to see who subscribed to your own channel, which is where these numbers start for every creator.

How to check a channel's subscriber count

  1. Search for the channel on YouTube and open its channel page.
  2. Look under the channel name: the subscriber count sits next to the handle and the number of videos.
  3. Remember the public figure is abbreviated for big channels, so compare close channels again a few days later before you call a winner.

What it means for a small channel

Every one of these channels started at zero. The useful lesson isn't to copy MrBeast's budget, it's to notice the pattern: a clear format, a clear audience and videos people pass on. If you're at the very start, my guide to getting your first 1,000 YouTube subscribers covers the steps that work at your size.

My verdict

MrBeast is the most subscribed channel on YouTube, and with a lead of more than 200 million over T-Series, he's not going to be caught soon. Below the top two, the order changes more often than you'd think, because counts are rounded and several channels sit within a few million of each other. If you need a number for a presentation or an article, open the channel page on the day and quote what YouTube shows.

Frequently asked questions

Who has the most subscribers on YouTube?

MrBeast, with 524 million subscribers on YouTube's counter as of October 2026.

Is T-Series still the biggest YouTube channel?

No. T-Series is second with 316 million subscribers, behind MrBeast's 524 million, as of October 2026.

How many subscribers does PewDiePie have?

PewDiePie shows 109 million subscribers on YouTube as of October 2026, just outside the top 12.

Why are YouTube subscriber counts rounded?

YouTube shows the public a shortened count. Channels with 100 million or more subscribers only update in steps of 1,000,000, so MrBeast shows 524M. The owner sees the exact live count in YouTube Studio.
