LSAT Apps (2026): 10 LSAT Prep Apps Compared

An LSAT app gives you practice questions, drills, video lessons and timed sections for the Law School Admission Test on your phone. Some are full prep courses, some are free games for core skills and some focus on daily logical reasoning drills. Ten apps follow, in no particular order.

The LSAT rewards practice more than raw intelligence. Logical reasoning and reading questions follow patterns, and the people who'll improve most are the ones who drill those patterns every day and don't skip reviewing a single mistake.

The apps below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and each description comes from the provider's own App Store listing, read this week. If you like a structured revision routine, my ChatGPT prompts for studying and revision can help you review the questions you keep missing.

LSAT prep apps at a glance

I checked the free plan column on each provider's own App Store listing, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the listing names a free version, a free tier, free lessons or tests, or a free daily set of questions. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the listing I read named neither, even where there's a download button, so check the provider's own page before you subscribe.

What LSAC says is the best way to prepare

The Law School Admission Council (LSAC), which runs the LSAT, says taking previously administered LSATs is the best way to prepare for test day. You can get started with free Official LSAT PrepTests available through LawHub, though LSAC adds that most test takers will benefit from more practice tests under timed conditions.

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

LSAC also says there's a 10-minute intermission between the second and third sections of the multiple-choice LSAT, and that you must keep following the test rules during it. It's worth practising with a short break too, so the pause doesn't throw you on the day.

Why free official tests change how you use an app

Real past LSATs are the best practice material there is, and some are free. So the smart way to use an app is for what official tests don't give you: drills on one question type, explanations, games for core skills and a daily habit you'll stick to.

Save the official PrepTests for full, timed practice, and use the apps in between to fix the question types you're getting wrong. That's where most of your points are hiding.

A twelve-week LSAT plan

  1. Weeks 1 and 2: take one free official PrepTest under timed conditions to find your starting point.
  2. Weeks 3 to 6: learn each question type in your app and drill one type a day.
  3. Weeks 7 to 10: mix question types and review every mistake, not only the score.
  4. Weeks 11 and 12: one timed PrepTest a week, with the intermission, then rest before test day.

Another timed, scored test that has its own prep options: ASVAB prep apps.

What to check before you download

  • Official questions. Apps that use real past LSAT questions are closer to the real test.
  • Explanations. A good app explains why the wrong answers are wrong.
  • Timed practice. The LSAT is timed, so practise under the clock.
  • Your study style. Classes, games or flashcards: pick the format you'll keep using.

My plain advice on LSAT apps

Use the free official PrepTests as your benchmark and one app for daily drills. Review every wrong answer until you can explain the right one, and don't book your test date until your timed practice scores are where you need them. It's a marathon, so pace yourself.
