Oura Membership Cost: Monthly, Annual and Country Prices

As of October 2026, the Oura Membership costs $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year before tax in the US, and £5.99 a month or £69.99 a year in the UK. New members get their first month free, and the membership is separate from the price of the ring itself.

Oura sells the ring once, then charges a membership for the insights in the Oura App. You can wear the ring without paying, but you'll get far less from it. Here's what the membership costs in each country Oura lists, and what changes if you stop paying.

Oura Membership price by country

Where you areMonthlyAnnualTax
United States$5.99$69.99Before tax
United Kingdom£5.99£69.99After tax
European Union€5.99€69.99After tax
CanadaCA$7.99CA$89.99Before tax
AustraliaA$9.99A$109.99After tax
Japan¥999¥11,800After tax
SwitzerlandCHF5.99CHF69.99After tax
Rest of world$6.99$79.00After tax

Notice the tax column. UK, EU and Australian prices include tax, while the US and Canadian prices are before tax, so the US figure you pay can be a little higher once tax is added. Annual billing costs less than twelve monthly payments in every country Oura lists.

What the membership includes

  • Detailed sleep analysis and 24/7 heart rate tracking
  • Over 50 health metrics, including resting heart rate, steps, calories and daytime stress
  • Advanced temperature monitoring and blood oxygen sensing
  • Longer term views such as cardiovascular age and resilience to stress
  • Women's health and metabolic health features
  • Oura Advisor, Oura's AI powered health companion
  • New features and enhancements as they're added to the Oura App

Oura also says the membership is HSA and FSA eligible, which matters in the US if you've got pre tax health savings to spend.

What works without a membership?

Oura's FAQ says that if you don't start or continue the membership, your ring and the Oura App still work, but the insights, personal health data and benefits you get will be much more limited. Oura's support article is more specific: without an active membership you'll only see your three daily scores (Readiness, Activity and Sleep), your ring battery, basic profile information, app settings and the Explore content. Everything else, from detailed sleep analysis to heart health and cycle insights, needs the membership.

Small print worth knowing

  • The free month is tied to your Oura account, not the ring, so buying a second ring on the same account doesn't give you another free month.
  • There's no option to pause a membership; you cancel and renew instead.
  • The membership only applies to Gen3 rings and newer.
  • Oura gift cards, financing and buy now, pay later methods can't be used to pay membership fees. PayPal, major credit cards and HSA or FSA cards can.
  • Lifetime Memberships aren't sold any more. Some Gen3 owners have one from an old promotion, and it stays free as long as they keep the same account.
  • Oura on the Web was discontinued on 5 October 2026, so you'll manage your data in the app and the Membership Hub.

Cancelling, and what happens to your data

  1. Log in to the Membership Hub and cancel whenever you choose.
  2. You keep the full membership experience until the end of the current billing cycle.
  3. If you don't delete your account, your Oura data and account information stay saved.
  4. If you rejoin, your data is available again straight away.
  5. Even without a membership, you can export all of your Oura data as a CSV file from the Membership Hub.

Upgrading your ring

If you buy a new Oura Ring, you don't need a new membership. Oura says you just add the new ring as a device in the app, and you can connect more than one ring and switch between them. Your membership starts as soon as you activate your ring, with the first month free for new members.

Is the Oura Membership worth it?

If you bought the ring for sleep and readiness tracking, yes: the membership is where that lives, and annual billing brings the cost down to $69.99 a year. If you're still choosing a tracker, compare it with WHOOP in my Oura vs WHOOP comparison before you commit to either. And if sleep is your main reason, my guide to the best sleep tracker apps is worth a look if you'd rather try a phone app first.

The verdict

The Oura Membership costs $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year in the US, and £5.99 or £69.99 in the UK. It's a fair price for what the app gives you, and annual billing is the better deal. My advice: use the free first month, then switch to annual if you're still checking your scores every morning. If you're not, cancel before the month ends and export your data first.
