Figma Pricing: Starter, Professional, Organization and Enterprise

As of October 2026, Figma's Starter plan is free and a Professional Full seat costs $16 a month on annual billing. Organization Full seats are $55 a month and Enterprise Full seats are $90 a month, both billed annually.

Figma doesn't charge one price per plan. Each paid plan is priced by seat type, Full, Dev or Collab, and each seat comes with a monthly allowance of AI credits. That makes the sticker price harder to read, so here's the whole grid from Figma's pricing page, plus the billing rules that change what you pay.

Figma pricing by plan and seat

PlanFull seatDev seatCollab seat
StarterFreeFreeFree
Professional$16 a month$12 a month$3 a month
Organization (billed annually)$55 a month$25 a month$5 a month
Enterprise (billed annually)$90 a month$35 a month$5 a month

The Professional prices above are the ones Figma shows with annual billing selected, which is the default on its pricing page. Figma also has a monthly billing toggle for Professional, and its FAQ says seats added mid term on an annual plan are charged at the monthly price.

What the three seat types mean

  • Full seat: the most expensive seat on each plan, with the biggest AI credit allowance.
  • Dev seat: the developer seat, cheaper than Full, with 500 AI credits a month on every paid plan.
  • Collab seat: the cheapest seat, also with 500 AI credits a month, for people who mostly collaborate rather than design.

Figma also notes that on a paid plan you can let others view and comment on your files without buying extra seats. So reviewers who only need to look and comment may not need a seat at all.

AI credits on each plan

PlanFull seat creditsDev and Collab seat credits
Starter150 a day, up to 500 a monthSame
Professional3,000 a month500 a month
Organization3,500 a month500 a month
Enterprise4,250 a month500 a month

If your team uses Figma's AI features heavily, the credit gap between Full and Dev seats matters as much as the price gap.

The billing rules that catch teams out

Figma's FAQ has three rules worth knowing before you add people:

  1. On an annual Professional plan, new paid seats added during the term are billed as a separate monthly subscription at the monthly price, with a prorated first charge, until you move them onto your annual plan or remove them.
  2. On Organization, approved seats are added to your next invoice with prorated pricing to the end of the annual term, and you get quarterly invoices at months 3, 6 and 9.
  3. Professional plans renew automatically. Figma emails you 30 days before an annual plan renews, and if you don't renew annually, your Full seats are paid monthly instead.

The first rule is the expensive one. A team that hires mid year and forgets to fold new seats into the annual plan pays monthly rates for them until someone tidies it up.

Monthly billing on Professional

Figma's pricing page opens with annual billing selected, and that's where the $16 Full seat price comes from. If you'd rather not commit for a year, there's a monthly toggle on the Professional card; it's worth checking the monthly figure before you buy, because it's the rate Figma uses for any seats added mid term too. Organization and Enterprise are shown as billed annually.

How to cancel or downgrade

Figma says you can cancel a Professional plan any time by choosing Downgrade to a Starter Team in the admin dashboard. Your team keeps paid features until the end of the period you've paid for, then loses things like the team component library and unlimited version history.

Before you pay at all, it's worth reading what the free plan covers in is Figma free, and if you're still learning the tool, this guide on how to use Figma shows what you'd be paying for.

My verdict

For a freelancer or a small design team, Professional at $16 a Full seat on annual billing is the plan to start with, and Dev or Collab seats keep the bill down for everyone who isn't designing all day. Organization only makes sense once you need shared libraries across teams and central admin. Whatever you choose, assign seat types deliberately and fold new hires into the annual plan, because that's where Figma bills quietly creep up.
