Constant Contact Pricing: Lite, Standard and Premium Explained

As of October 2026, Constant Contact starts at $10.20 a month for Lite, $29.75 a month for Standard and $68 a month for Premium, all billed annually. Those are starting prices: your real price depends on how many contacts you have.

Constant Contact prices by plan and by list size, so two businesses on the same plan can pay very different amounts. The starting prices are the floor for the smallest list. Here's what each plan costs, what changes your bill, and the overage rule most people only discover after a big send.

Standard$29.75 a month, billed annually3 users12 times your number of contacts
Premium$68 a month, billed annuallyUnlimited users24 times your number of contacts

Constant Contact's note under the prices says plan price is based on number of contacts and email sends, and overage fees may apply. There's also a monthly billing toggle; prepaying for 12 months is the cheaper way to buy.

The overage rule

This is the line worth reading twice. Each plan has a monthly send limit tied to your contact count: 10 times your contacts on Lite, 12 times on Standard and 24 times on Premium. Constant Contact's FAQ says that if you go over, nothing stops and your emails still go out, but additional sends are billed at $0.002 for every send over the maximum. That's small per email, but it adds up for a business that emails a large list several times a week on Lite.

SMS marketing costs

SMS is priced separately for US customers. Premium plans include 500 messages a month. Lite and Standard customers can add SMS starting at $10 a month for 1 to 500 messages.

Discounts and the refund guarantee

  • Prepay for 12 months and Constant Contact says you save up to fifteen percent.
  • Nonprofits that prepay can save up to thirty percent, according to the pricing page.
  • There's a 30 day guarantee: you can cancel and get a full refund within 30 days of signing up, subject to the terms.

That refund window is the safety net. If you're switching from another tool, use the first month to import your list, rebuild your main template and send a couple of campaigns before the 30 days are up.

Why your price may be higher than the headline

The starting prices assume a small list. Constant Contact's FAQ is clear that your exact price depends on the number of contacts on your list, and the page links to a table of pricing tiers. In practice, a business with a few thousand contacts will pay more than the figures above on every plan. The upside, as the FAQ puts it, is that you only pay for the audience you have, so it pays to clean out unengaged contacts before you move up a tier.

How to choose a Constant Contact plan

  1. Count your contacts first, because that sets your real price on every plan.
  2. Count how often you email: if you send more than 10 times your list size a month, Lite's limit will trigger overage charges.
  3. Choose Standard if you need more than one user, scheduling, A/B testing or more than one automation.
  4. Choose Premium for unlimited users, segments and automations, or the Google Ads tools.
  5. Prepay annually once you're sure, and use the 30 day guarantee to test first.

My verdict

Standard is the plan I'd point most small businesses to: three users, scheduling, A/B testing and the resend to non-openers feature are what turn a newsletter into a sales tool, and it's still modest on a small list. Lite is fine if you send one newsletter a month. Whatever you pick, price it on your actual contact count, keep an eye on the send limit, and lean on that 30 day refund window while you test.
