To cash out GCash, you can withdraw at any BancNet ATM with a GCash Card, tell a partner store or pawnshop your number and amount, use RCBC Scan to Withdraw without a card, or transfer to your bank and withdraw there. Every route has a service fee, and the cardless ATM option needs a Fully Verified account.
Earnings sitting in GCash are only half useful until you can get them out. Whether your payout came from PayPal, Payoneer, a remittance or a client, these are the ways GCash's own Help Center lists for turning wallet funds into cash, with the rules that catch people out.

Cash out at an ATM with your GCash Card
- Make sure your wallet covers the cash plus the ATM fee.
- Go to any BancNet ATM and insert your GCash Card.
- Enter your 6-digit ATM PIN, the same PIN you set for the card.
- Choose your amount and take your cash.
Your daily ATM limit resets at 12:30 AM, not midnight. If you hit it late at night, wait until after 12:30 to try again.
Cash out at a store or pawnshop
GCash's partner outlets include pawnshops like Cebuana Lhuillier, M. Lhuillier, RD Pawnshop, Tambunting and Villarica, Puregold supermarkets, payment centres like ECPay, and department stores like The SM Store and Robinsons.
- Tell the cashier you want to cash out from GCash.
- Give your phone number and the amount.
- Show a valid ID.
- Wait for the text, then share the OTP so they can finish the transaction.
- Collect your cash and check your transaction history.
At a GCash Pera Outlet, the sari-sari store version, GCash suggests a standard fee but says the final fee is set by each outlet. Confirm the total before you share your OTP.
Cardless: RCBC Scan to Withdraw
No card? Select RCBC ATMs let you withdraw using a QR code from the app. The rules here are strict, and they're the bit people miss:
- You must be Fully Verified.
- Stand at the ATM before you generate the QR code. Each code expires in 5 minutes.
- You can't screenshot the QR code.
- If you create 3 unused codes in one day, you're blocked from making new ones until 12:00 AM the next day.
Cash out through your bank
For bigger amounts, many people move funds to their bank and withdraw there. In GCash, tap Transfer, then Local, choose your bank, enter the amount, account name and number, and confirm. InstaPay transfers are real time and carry a small per-transaction fee. You can save up to 20 bank accounts and schedule up to 5 repeat transfers. If you send to the wrong account, report it within 15 days, though GCash says the final decision on a refund rests with the receiving bank.
If the ATM takes your balance but gives no cash
Don't panic. GCash says most failed dispenses are refunded automatically: within 2 to 3 business days for Philippine ATMs and 7 to 10 business days abroad. If the ATM operator records the withdrawal as successful, a dispute takes 10 to 12 business days. For RCBC Scan to Withdraw, refunds land within 2 business days after RCBC confirms the failure.
If you're getting paid in from abroad, these guides help on the way in: Payoneer in the Philippines and AdSense payments in the Philippines.
Which cash-out route is right for you
If you cash out once a month, a bank transfer is usually the cleanest: one transfer, then withdraw at your bank. If you need cash today and don't have a card, a partner store or pawnshop works, as long as you bring a valid ID. If you're often near RCBC, Scan to Withdraw saves carrying a card, but only once you're Fully Verified. And if you're cashing out several times a week, the GCash Card at BancNet ATMs is the least hassle.
Whichever you choose, check your wallet and transaction limits first under Profile, then Profile Limits. GCash says a cash out can fail simply because you've hit your monthly limit, and the limits reset on the first of the month.

My advice
Get a GCash Card if you cash out often. It works at any BancNet ATM and it's the least hassle. Use stores for small, urgent amounts, and never share your OTP with anyone except the cashier finishing your own transaction, right in front of you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cash out GCash without a card?
Yes. You can cash out at partner stores and pawnshops with your number and an OTP, or use RCBC Scan to Withdraw at select RCBC ATMs if you're Fully Verified.
Do I need an ID to cash out at a store?
At GCash partner outlets, yes. GCash says to show a valid ID.
Why did my RCBC QR code stop working?
Each Scan to Withdraw QR code expires after 5 minutes. Generate it only when you're at the ATM.
When does my GCash Card ATM limit reset?
GCash says the daily withdrawal limit resets at 12:30 AM.
The ATM didn't give me cash. Will I get it back?
In most cases GCash refunds it automatically within 2 to 3 business days in the Philippines, or 7 to 10 business days abroad.
Can I cash out GCash at a sari-sari store?
Yes, at an authorised GCash Pera Outlet. You give your number, share the SMS OTP with the outlet, and they hand over the cash. Check the fee with the outlet first.
Can a Basic GCash account cash out?
Bank transfers and the GCash Card need a Fully Verified account, and so does RCBC Scan to Withdraw. Getting verified is the simplest way to keep every option open.
What if I sent my cash out to the wrong bank account?
Report it in the app within 15 days. GCash helps on a best-effort basis, but the receiving bank makes the final decision on any refund.
