Yes, Amazon runs a seller site for Egypt at sell.amazon.eg, and you register with a National Egyptian ID plus a bank account that receives your sales. According to Amazon, individuals also need a recent statement or bill, and businesses need a Commercial Registration. The catch is that fees are shown before VAT, which gets added on top.
If you're in Cairo, Alexandria or anywhere else in Egypt and you've been asking whether you can sell on Amazon from home, the good news is that Amazon has a dedicated seller site for Egypt. I've gone through the pages on sell.amazon.eg to see what it asks for, and what it says about fees and getting paid. Here's the plain version.
What Amazon Egypt asks for before you sign up
Amazon Egypt's seller page lists what to have ready: a valid email address or an Amazon customer account, a mobile number where you can be reached, your National Egyptian ID, and a bank account where Amazon can send the proceeds from your sales. It says identity verification is there to protect sellers and customers.
You can reuse your customer account to start selling, or create a new seller account with a different valid email address. Amazon doesn't say how long registration takes, only that the time varies and that there's a quick registration guide to download.
Individual or business: the extra paper is different
This is where Egypt differs from a lot of countries, because Amazon splits the documents by seller type. If you're selling as an individual, you need either a recent bank account statement, a credit card statement or a utility bill. If you're a business, you need the Commercial Registration if you're the owner, or a Power of Attorney if you're a legal representative or an account manager.
So a shop owner gets one set of documents and a person running the account for someone else gets another. If you manage an account for a family business, check which of those roles is yours before you start, because the wrong paper will slow you down.
The seller plan and what it costs
Amazon Egypt says that for a limited time, Professional accounts are available with no monthly subscription fee. That's an offer Amazon can change, so look at the pricing page when you register. Fees still apply per sale, and Amazon says the amount depends on the category and how you fulfil the order.
Most referral fees are between 3% and 15%, according to Amazon's fee page, with rates such as 12% and 9% shown for particular categories and a minimum referral fee of 5 EGP. Every figure on the page is shown excluding VAT, and Amazon says it applies VAT to those fees as well. I'd ask an accountant how VAT affects your own margin.

| Delivery choices | FBA, Easy Ship or self-ship |
Easy Ship, FBA or doing it yourself
There are three ways to deliver. With Fulfillment by Amazon you send stock to Amazon and it handles shipping, returns and customer service. With Easy Ship, Amazon handles delivery for products you hold yourself. With self-ship you do it all.
The pricing page gives example starting points. Easy Ship starts at 42 EGP per shipment, varying by size, and sellers can collect a shipping charge from customers of up to 26 EGP per shipment. FBA fees start at 15.5 EGP per unit, varying by size, plus storage fees. Inventory that has been in a fulfillment centre for 365+ days incurs a long-term storage fee. Those are starting prices, not a quote, so use Amazon's calculator for your own product.
How the money reaches you
Amazon Egypt's fee page says you provide both a credit card number and a bank account when you set up the account. Sales proceeds are deposited into the bank account, with fees taken off first. If your fees are more than your seller balance covers, the rest is charged to the credit card.
The page doesn't say how many days a payment takes or which currency lands in the account, and I won't guess. Ask your bank, and check the payments section of your own seller account. For other money you earn online, my guides on Wise in Egypt and PayPal in Egypt explain what those services say for Egyptian users.

Restricted categories and approvals
Not every product is open to every seller. Amazon Egypt says some categories are open to all sellers, some need a Business seller account, some need approval before you can sell, and some can't be sold by third-party sellers at all. Beauty topicals and some other items sit behind approval. Read the category table before you buy stock.
Arabic or English, and the registration guide
Amazon Egypt's seller site is available in Arabic and in English, and it links to a registration guide in both languages along with live webinars. If your documents or business are easier to explain in Arabic, use that version for the step by step.
Warnings for new Egyptian sellers
- Don't pay a middleman who promises to get your account approved. Amazon lists the documents it needs and you can send them yourself.
- Don't hand your National Egyptian ID or bank details to someone running a course or agency.
- Go to sell.amazon.eg yourself instead of following a link from a message.
