TikTok's pages don't say either way whether LIVE Gifts are switched on for Pakistan, so check your own app. According to TikTok, you must be 18 to receive Gifts, you must live where Gifts are offered, and Diamonds are paid in US dollars to a verified PayPal account. The catch is that PayPal's country list doesn't include Pakistan.
TikTok LIVE is the feature Pakistani creators ask me about most, because the idea of viewers sending gifts that turn into money is so appealing. I've read TikTok's own LIVE monetisation post, its Virtual Items Policy and its payment limits page to see what they say. The result is a mix of clear rules and one big gap, and I'd rather show you the gap than hide it.
What TikTok says about who can earn from LIVE
TikTok's LIVE monetisation post says creators must be at least 18 years old, or 19 in South Korea. It adds that some monetisation features are only available in selected countries and regions, and that creators generally need to live where LIVE Gifts are offered. The post names no countries, so it can't tell you about Pakistan.
It also says you must be eligible to go LIVE and have access to LIVE Gifts before you can collect Diamonds. Certain account types, such as government, politician and political party accounts, may not qualify. In other words, going LIVE and earning from LIVE are two separate switches.
Age: why 18 matters in Pakistan
The Virtual Items Policy limits buying Coins, sending Gifts and receiving Gifts with monetary value to users aged 18, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, or older. Wikipedia's age of majority list places Pakistan under age 18, so the two line up. If you're younger, you may still be able to watch or take part in some ways, but you can't collect Gifts.
How Diamonds turn into money, according to the policy
Here's the part many guides skip. The Virtual Items Policy says Diamonds are withdrawn for monetary compensation denominated in US dollars. The cash payment is made directly into your nominated PayPal account, and your first and last name needs to be an exact match to your PayPal account information.
It also says payment will not be sent to a PayPal account that hasn't been verified with PayPal, and that TikTok may verify identity and age, including by asking for a photocopy of a state ID card. The policy has separate versions for the EEA and UK and for India, and the general version applies to everyone else, which would cover Pakistan.
| What I checked | What TikTok's pages say |
|---|---|
| Age to receive Gifts | 18, or the age of majority where you live |
| Where it works | Selected countries, no list on the page I read |
| Withdrawal currency | US dollars |
| Payout route named | A nominated PayPal account |
| Name rule | Must exactly match your PayPal name |
| PayPal status | Must be verified with PayPal |
| Pakistan on TikTok's fee table | No, the table covers the EEA, UK and Switzerland |
The PayPal problem for Pakistani creators
TikTok's payment limits and fees page applies only to users based in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, and it has no rows for Pakistan. So I can't give you a minimum payout or a fee for Pakistan, and anyone who quotes you a figure is guessing.
The bigger issue is PayPal itself. PayPal's worldwide country list shows an Asia section that names India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore among others, and Pakistan doesn't appear in it. Payoneer's country guide also says PayPal isn't officially available in Pakistan. My own guide on PayPal in Pakistan goes through what PayPal's pages say.
Put the two rules together and you can see the problem: TikTok's policy names PayPal, and PayPal's list leaves Pakistan out. I couldn't find an official TikTok page that explains what a Pakistani creator does about that. It might be that TikTok has a different route for the country, or that Gifts aren't enabled there at all.

How to check your own account
- Open your own TikTok LIVE and balance screens and see whether Gifts and a withdrawal option appear. Your app is the final word, not a video.
- Read the Virtual Items Policy and the LIVE monetisation post on TikTok's own site rather than a third-party summary.
- Treat any figure for diamonds, minimum payouts or fees from a blog as unconfirmed, since TikTok's fee page doesn't cover Pakistan.
- Ask your bank before relying on any route that involves a foreign payment.
Other ways to be paid while you build an audience
If LIVE Gifts turn out not to be available to you, other income routes exist that don't depend on TikTok. Foreign clients can pay through Wise in Pakistan, and writers and authors can look at Amazon KDP in Pakistan. The State Bank of Pakistan controls the issuance of the rupee, so ask your bank what rules apply to money from abroad.
Scams around TikTok LIVE and Diamonds
- Don't buy Coins or Diamonds from anyone except TikTok. The policy says Coins sold or transferred by anyone other than TikTok are void.
- Don't pay a person who says they can switch on Gifts for your account or turn your Diamonds into cash.
- Never share your OTP, ID photo or PayPal login with a stranger.
So, can you earn from TikTok LIVE in Pakistan?
I can't give you a confirmed yes. The rules are clear on age, on US dollars and on PayPal. What's missing is any official TikTok statement that these features are enabled for Pakistan, and PayPal's own list doesn't include the country. Check your own app first, and don't spend money on a course until you've seen the withdraw button for yourself.
