The Wix Pricing Plans app is the app you add to your own site to sell memberships, packages and subscriptions to your customers. It isn't Wix's Premium plans for upgrading your site: it lets you charge your clients one-time, recurring or free plans that open up your classes, pages, blog posts, videos or other benefits.
The thing to know before you build anything: as of October 2026, Wix says you can't delete a pricing plan once you've created it. You can hide it or archive it, and archiving can't be reversed. So it's worth sketching your plan names, prices and benefits on paper first, rather than creating test plans you'll be stuck with.
The three plan types
| Plan type | How it bills | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| One-time payment | One charge for a plan that lasts the period you choose | Packages, such as a set number of sessions |
| Recurring payment | Weekly, monthly, yearly or a custom frequency such as every 3 months | Memberships and ongoing subscriptions |
| Free or trial | No charge | A free membership or a once-only trial plan |
A single plan can carry more than one pricing option, such as a one-time price alongside monthly and yearly ones, but only one one-time option per plan. You can add a setup fee, set the plan's length or let it run until cancelled, and add custom pricing rules that give a discount or special rate to all customers, returning customers or up to 50 named members.
Before you create your first plan
- Your site needs an upgrade to accept online payments.
- You must connect an online payment provider. The manual offline payment method isn't available for pricing plans.
- For recurring plans, the provider has to support recurring payments in your region.
- You can have up to 75 active plans at once. To show more than 75 on your site, add another Pricing Plans element in your editor.
How to set up the Wix Pricing Plans app
- In your editor, click Add Apps, search for Pricing Plans and click Add to Site. It creates a Plans and Pricing page.
- Go to Pricing Plans in your dashboard and click + Create Plan.
- Create it with AI, start from a template, or click + Start From Scratch.
- Under Benefits, tick the services and content the plan includes.
- Select Paid, choose One-time payment or Recurring payments, enter the price and, for recurring, the payment frequency.
- Turn on a free trial if you want one, and set the plan duration.
- Choose when the plan starts: immediately, on a fixed date, on the same day every month, or on a date the customer picks.
- Enable guest checkout and plan cancellation if you want them, then click Save.
Watch the features field. What you type under Tell customers what the main features are only displays benefits as text. It doesn't connect any Wix service or content. The connection happens in the Benefits checkboxes.
What a plan can give members access to
This is where the app earns its keep. You can connect a plan to:
- Wix Bookings services, as an unlimited membership for a set time or a limited package of sessions.
- Wix Events, giving members discounted tickets.
- Online Programs, such as a step-by-step challenge.
- Hidden site pages for members only.
- Selected posts on Wix Blog, or the whole blog feed.
- Wix Video channels, File Share folders and Wix Groups.
You can also sell plans that aren't tied to any Wix service at all. Wix's example is a meal delivery business selling plans of different lengths. Just list the benefits so buyers know what's included.
Free trials and how billing starts
Free trials work on recurring plans. Choose 7, 14 or 30 days, or set a custom number. Customers enter payment details at checkout, and their first billing period begins when the trial ends, so a monthly plan with a 14-day trial bills its first month after 14 days. Wix emails them a reminder three days before the trial runs out.
Two details people miss. A customer who rebooks the same plan doesn't get a second trial. And a customer who picks the one-time option on a plan that also has a trial doesn't get the trial.
Guest checkout and the My Subscriptions page
Turn on guest checkout under Pricing Plans Settings, in the Checkout tab, and visitors can buy without signing up first. They become contacts and get an email with a link to create a member profile. That email can't be customised, and guest checkout only works from the Plans and Pricing page. For plans with online content, buyers still need to create their profile to get access.
The app also adds a My Subscriptions page to your Members Area, where clients track their plan, see when it expires and cancel if you've switched on Allow plan cancellation. Cancelling doesn't trigger a refund. For a one-time plan, refunds go through your payment provider. For a recurring plan, the plan simply doesn't continue into the next cycle.
Where recurring plans catch you out
If a client's card is cancelled or expires, or there aren't enough funds, the payment fails and Wix cancels their plan automatically. To carry on, they need to buy a new plan. And if you ever switch payment providers, Wix says you must first cancel every active recurring plan, switch, and then ask your clients to buy the same plan again. Choose your provider, such as Wix Payments, before you sell your first subscription.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Removing a plan you no longer sell
| Action | New buyers | Existing subscribers | Can you undo it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hide | Can't buy it | Keep their benefits | Yes, select Show |
| Archive | Can't buy it | Keep benefits until the plan expires | No; you also can't edit it or add clients |
After archiving, you can still disconnect benefits you no longer offer through Manage Benefits.
Reports for your plans
In All Reports, the Subscriptions section shows active subscriptions, new subscriptions over time, revenue by subscription, expiring subscriptions and expected revenue from recurring payments over the next six months. That forecast leaves out the current month, new sign-ups and subscriptions that may cancel early.
Is Wix Pricing Plans right for you?
I'd use it if you sell repeat access, like classes, coaching sessions, a members' area or gated content, and you're already on Wix. Pick your payment provider first, test with a hidden plan, and only make plans public once the names and benefits are final. I'd skip it if you just want to sell products on a schedule, or if you might change payment providers soon.
Once memberships and renewals run on autopilot, the next time sink is usually the admin around them, which is the work I help teams hand off. I run AI training and workshops for teams, and help businesses with AI enablement and workflow automation, so the busywork runs itself and people get time back. Most of that work is with SaaS marketing teams and small businesses. Here's how we can work together.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Wix Pricing Plans app the same as a Wix Premium plan?
No. Pricing Plans is the app you add to your site to sell plans to your own customers. Wix Premium and Wix Studio plans are what you buy to upgrade your site.
Can I delete a plan in Wix Pricing Plans?
No. As of October 2026, Wix says you can't delete a pricing plan once it's created. You can hide it, which you can undo, or archive it, which you can't.
How long can a free trial be in Wix Pricing Plans?
You can choose 7, 14 or 30 days, or set a custom number of days. Free trials apply to recurring plans.
What happens when a subscriber's card fails?
The payment isn't received and the client's plan is cancelled automatically. To continue, they need to purchase a new plan.
Can people buy a Wix pricing plan without becoming a member?
Yes, if you enable guest checkout. Buyers become contacts and get an email to create a member profile, which they need for plans with online content.
