Superpower Review 2026 for Busy Business Owners Who Put Their Health Last

In this blog post I'm going to walk you through Superpower, the health membership that tests 150+ biomarkers a year and then tells you what to do about them. This Superpower review is written for one particular kind of person. You run a business. You look after your clients, your team, your family and your inbox. And you come last.

I know that person well, because for years she was me.

I've been through my own health transformation (I've lost 55 kg, which still makes me blink when I write it down), and the biggest lesson I took from it is a simple one. You can't fix what you can't see. So when Superpower asked me to take a close look at what they've built, I said yes, because it goes straight at the thing most of us avoid: finding out what's going on inside, and getting a clear plan for what to do next.

Quick answer. Superpower is a US health membership that tests 150+ biomarkers across two blood draws a year, turns the results into a personalised action plan, and gives you Kin, its AI health assistant, plus an on-demand care team for questions. It costs $199 a year at the time of writing (a limited-time $150 off its $349 list price) and is HSA/FSA eligible.

Why this Superpower review matters for business owners

Here's the pattern I see over and over again with the business owners I work with.

They'll spend hours analysing a dip in website traffic. They'll check their sales dashboard three times before breakfast. But ask them when they last had a full blood test and you get a long pause, followed by something like "I think it was before Covid?"

We treat our businesses like they're the engine and ourselves like we're the fuel tank nobody checks. Then we wonder why the afternoon slump turns into a three-month slump.

If that sounds familiar, you might also find my piece on the signs of burnout and how business owners recover useful. Burnout rarely arrives with a fanfare. It creeps in.

What I like about Superpower is that it treats your health the way a good marketer treats a campaign. Get a baseline. Look at the data. Make changes. Measure again. That's a language business owners already speak.

What is Superpower?

Superpower is a health membership that combines lab testing, a personalised action plan, AI support and access to clinicians. Instead of one blood test and a PDF of numbers you don't understand, you get an ongoing relationship with your own health data.

The company was founded by Jacob Peters, Max Marchione and Kevin Unkrich. Jacob and Max have both spoken publicly about their own long, frustrating experiences with health problems that went undiagnosed, which is a big part of why the company exists. Superpower raised a $30 million Series A led by Forerunner, and Superpower says it now has more than 64,000 members and has analysed over 6 million biomarkers.

On Trustpilot, Superpower shows a 4.6 out of 5 rating from more than 260 reviews (as displayed on its website when I checked).

In short, the first thing this Superpower review needs to tell you is that this isn't a weekend project. It's a well-funded company with a clear point of view: that most of us only find out about health problems when it's late, and that it doesn't have to be that way.

How does Superpower work?

Before I get into the detail in this Superpower review, here's the shape of it.

Superpower breaks the process into four steps, and they're laid out clearly on its how it works page.

The four steps of how Superpower works: build your baseline, see what matters, build your protocol, retest and refine
How Superpower works, in four steps. Image: superpower.com
  1. Build your baseline. Your first blood draw gives you a wide view of your health. You book it in the app in about 15 minutes, and the draw itself is quick. You can go to one of 2,000+ Quest Diagnostics locations, or choose an at-home draw for an extra fee.
  2. See what matters. Your results land in a dashboard that shows what's working, what needs attention and where to focus. Superpower says results are typically ready in about a week, and you get a text when they're in.
  3. Build your protocol. Kin, Superpower's AI, and the care team help you take targeted action across lifestyle, diet, supplements and, where appropriate, treatments.
  4. Retest and refine. Your second test later in the year tracks your progress and updates what you should do next.

That fourth step is the one I'd underline twice. It's the difference between finding out something and doing something about it.

What does Superpower test?

Every membership starts with 150+ biomarkers across two blood draws a year: a full baseline panel, then a retest of the markers that matter most for tracking change. On Superpower's public biomarker library, the baseline panel lists 123 biomarkers and the retest lists 64.

Those biomarkers are grouped into health areas that most of us have only ever heard about in passing, including:

  • Heart and vascular health, including ApoB, Lipoprotein(a), LDL and HDL cholesterol and hs-CRP
  • Metabolic health, including HbA1c for longer-term blood sugar
  • Thyroid health, including TSH
  • Sex hormones, including estradiol
  • Energy, including cortisol, DHEA-S and IGF-1
  • Nutrients, including vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate and ferritin
  • Liver and kidney health, including ALT, AST, GGT, creatinine, cystatin C and eGFR
  • Inflammation and immune system markers

You can browse the full list yourself on the Superpower biomarkers page, filtered by category, which I'd recommend doing before you sign up. It's oddly addictive.

Superpower also offers add-on tests at member pricing, including gut health, environmental toxins and heavy metals, and the Grail Galleri multi-cancer screen.

Beyond static lab dumps: what makes Superpower different

If you've ever had a standard blood test, you'll know the drill. You wait. You get a list of numbers, a few of them flagged. Someone tells you it's "mostly fine". And then nothing happens until next time, if there is a next time.

Superpower is built to fix exactly that. The whole point is continuous biomarker tracking with clear, clinical guidance on what to do next, instead of a one-off list of results with no next steps.

All your health data in one place

Your dashboard explains each biomarker in plain English (Superpower's own promise is "no medical jargon or PDFs"). You can upload past lab results and medical records, so your history sits alongside your new results. And you can connect wearables like Oura, Whoop and Apple Health, so your sleep and activity data adds context to your bloodwork.

As someone who loves a good dashboard, this is the bit of my Superpower review research that made me sit up. Most of us have health data scattered across an old GP letter, a fitness app and a drawer somewhere. Pulling it into one view is half the battle.

Biological age and 17 health scores

Superpower gives you a biological age and 17 unique health scores, so you can see at a glance which areas of your health are strong and which need work. Then, when you retest, you can see whether the changes you made moved the needle.

A personalised protocol, not a pile of advice

This is where it gets practical. The Superpower Protocol is your action plan, built from your labs, your past records, your wearable data and your goals. It covers diet, lifestyle, supplements and retesting timelines, so you know which actions are likely to make the biggest difference.

For a busy business owner, that focus matters. You don't need forty pieces of advice. You need the top three things to do this month.

Kin, the Superpower AI health assistant

I spend a lot of my working life with AI, so I was keen to see how Superpower uses it. The answer is Kin, Superpower's AI, which you can ask everyday health questions in the app.

What makes Kin different from asking a general chatbot about your cholesterol is context. Superpower says Kin draws on your lab results, your medical records, your wearable data, your protocol and your goals. And it works within clinical guardrails designed by medical professionals.

So instead of a generic answer about what ferritin is, the idea is that you get an explanation of what your result means for you, and what your plan suggests doing about it. That's the job AI should be doing in health: translating complex biomarkers into insights a normal person can act on.

And when a question goes beyond what the AI should answer, you're not left on your own. Membership includes an on-demand care team for questions, scheduling and coordinating tests. Superpower is clear that it's there to complement your own doctor, not replace them, and that it isn't for emergencies. I think that's exactly the right line to draw.

Founder energy: why knowing your numbers matters when you run a business

This is the part I care about most, so let me put my marketing hat down for a minute.

When you run a business, your energy is your most valuable asset. Not your website. Not your CRM. You. Your ability to think clearly at 3pm, to show up for a sales call with something left in the tank, to make good decisions instead of tired ones.

And yet so many of us run on coffee, adrenaline and the vague hope that we'll sort ourselves out "after this launch". (There's always another launch.)

Low energy, poor sleep, brain fog and a short fuse can have all sorts of causes. Some of them show up in your bloodwork. Superpower's energy category, for example, includes markers like cortisol, DHEA-S and IGF-1, alongside nutrients like ferritin and vitamin B12 and your thyroid markers. I'm not a doctor, and I'd never tell you what your numbers mean. But I do know that guessing is a terrible strategy, in business and in health.

My own health turnaround didn't come from one dramatic moment. It came from paying attention, making small changes, and checking whether they worked. That's precisely the loop Superpower is built around: test, act, retest.

If stress is the bigger issue for you right now, my guide on how to lower stress when you run your own business is a good place to start. And if you need a gentle nudge to put yourself on the to-do list, I've also shared some self care ideas for busy business owners that don't need a spare week to pull off.

Pair a clear picture of your health with small, consistent habits (I've rounded up the best workout apps for busy people if movement is where your plan points you), and you've got something far more powerful than another New Year's resolution.

How much does Superpower cost?

When I checked for this Superpower review on 12 October 2026, membership was $199 a year, shown as a limited-time $150 off its $349 list price. That works out at roughly $0.55 a day.

Here's what that includes:

Everything included in a Superpower membership, from biomarker testing to AI chat and care team access
What a Superpower membership includes. Image: superpower.com
  • 150+ biomarkers a year across a baseline test and a retest
  • Biological age plus 17 health scores
  • A personalised plan that turns results into action
  • Kin, the Superpower AI, plus an on-demand care team
  • Health data upload and wearable connections
  • Access to add-on tests, supplements, peptides and prescriptions through the member marketplace, at member pricing

A few practical things worth knowing before you sign up:

  • Superpower is available across most US states and DC, so check your state is listed on its website.
  • Lab visits at 2,000+ Quest locations are included. An at-home draw is available in most major US metros for an extra fee ($119, according to Superpower's comparison page).
  • Pricing may vary in New York and New Jersey because of state fees.
  • Membership is HSA/FSA eligible, so you may be able to pay with pre-tax dollars.
  • You can cancel anytime, and your membership stays active until the end of the year you've paid for.

Superpower's headline on its homepage puts it bluntly: "What could cost $10,000 is now $199." Anyone who has paid privately for a wide panel of blood tests will know the comparison isn't far-fetched.

How does Superpower compare on price?

According to Superpower's own comparison page (updated 2 October 2026), Function Health costs $365 a year, while Superpower is $199 on its current offer. Both run around 150 to 160 lab tests across two draws. Superpower also includes a curated supplement marketplace with member pricing and access to prescription medications, which its comparison lists as not included with Function Health.

What do Superpower members say?

Superpower publishes some striking numbers from its own members. In a survey of 143 members, 90 days after receiving their action plan, Superpower reports that 60% said it found something their doctor had missed, 93% rated it more useful than a checkup, and 77% found something new.

Superpower also says that, in an analysis of more than 3,000 members over a year, 78% found an out-of-range result that standard panels miss and 62% uncovered early cardiometabolic risk factors.

Those are Superpower's figures, not mine (no Superpower review should pretend otherwise), and every body is different. But they tell you what the product is designed to do: surface the things a quick standard check can miss, and give you a plan to deal with them early.

Who is Superpower best for?

Based on everything I've looked at for this Superpower review, it's a great fit if you:

  • Can't remember your last full blood test
  • Feel "fine" but not great, and want to know why
  • Like data and want to track your health the way you track your business
  • Want clear next steps, not just a list of numbers
  • Already use a wearable and want it to mean something
  • Live in one of the US states Superpower covers

It isn't the place for urgent or emergency care (that's a job for your doctor or emergency services), and it's only open to people in the states Superpower currently serves.

My Superpower review verdict

Most health products sell you a test. Superpower sells you a feedback loop.

Test 150+ biomarkers. See them explained in plain English. Get a personalised plan. Ask Kin questions in context. Talk to the care team when you need to. Retest and see what changed. All for less than many of us spend on software subscriptions we forgot we had.

For the business owner who has been putting their own health at the bottom of the list, that's a pretty compelling reason to move it up. Because the business can't run without you, and you can't run on guesswork.

If you're in the US and you've been meaning to "get checked" for longer than you'd like to admit, take a look at Superpower and see what you've been missing.
