Sunsama Review: One Plan, Two Prices and a 14-Day Trial

Sunsama is a daily planner that pulls your tasks and calendar into one plan for the day, and it suits busy professionals who'll pay for a guided routine. The catch, as of Oct 2026, is that there's no free plan: after a 14-day trial with no credit card, Pro is 17 dollars a month billed yearly or 22 dollars a month billed monthly.

Sunsama comes up when people are tired of juggling a to-do app, a calendar and a stack of browser tabs, and want one place to plan the day. I read Sunsama's pricing page, and it's one of the shortest I've come across: a trial, a single paid plan and an Enterprise option you have to ask about. That shortness is the review, in a way, so here's what it means for you.

No free tier: what Sunsama's single plan means for you

Most planning apps split their features across three or four tiers, so the question is which tier you need. Sunsama doesn't. There's one Pro plan with unlimited usage and unlimited integrations, and the only choice is how you pay for it. That makes the decision simpler than usual, and also more binary: you either pay for Sunsama or you don't use it.

The trial is where the whole decision happens. You get 14 days of unlimited access to all features, and the page says no credit card is required, so you don't hand over a card to start. When those two weeks end, there's no free plan listed to fall back on. If you want a planner you can keep using at no charge forever, this pricing page doesn't offer one.

The other choice is billing. Pro is 17 dollars a month billed yearly, or 22 dollars a month billed monthly. The yearly figure is lower each month, and in return you're committing for a year. Monthly costs more each month but lets you stop when you like. If you've only just finished the trial and you're not sure the habit will stick, monthly is the safer first step. If you've already planned with Sunsama every working day of the trial, yearly is the one I'd look at.

What to check before the Sunsama trial runs out

  1. Connect what you already use. Pro lists unlimited integrations plus AI, MCP and Zapier, so connect your calendar and task tools in the first few days rather than the last.
  2. Plan real workdays, not a demo day. Use it for your actual mornings across at least a full working week, so you know whether the routine fits how you work.
  3. Decide monthly or yearly with a date in mind. Put a reminder a couple of days before day 14, so the billing choice is yours and not a rush.
  4. Check whether your company needs Enterprise. If your employer needs SSO, SAML, SCIM or audit logs, that's an Enterprise conversation, and it's better to start it during the trial.

If you're also weighing how you track the time those plans take, this round-up of time tracking software covers the other half of the job.

What the Sunsama Pro plan lists

The Pro plan is described as one plan for busy professionals, with three lines under it: unlimited usage, unlimited integrations, and AI + MCP + Zapier. Unlimited usage means there's no cap listed on how much you plan. Unlimited integrations means the page doesn't limit how many of your other tools you connect. Zapier lets you link apps that don't connect directly, and MCP is a standard that lets AI assistants talk to other software. The pricing page doesn't go into more detail than that, so the trial is the place to see how each one works for you.

Enterprise is aimed at organisations with custom security, compliance, integration and billing needs. It lists SSO and SAML, SCIM and audit logs, and custom privacy and data requirements. There's no figure for it on the page; you contact Sunsama.

Who Sunsama suits, and who should give it a miss

It suits busy professionals who want one guided daily-planning tool and are happy to pay a flat price after a two-week trial. If you like the idea of sitting down each morning to plan the day across your calendar and tasks, it's built around that. It also suits people who'd rather not compare tiers: there's one plan, and you get all of it.

Work with me

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

Skip it if you want a permanent free tier, because the pricing page lists a trial, not a free plan. Skip it, or at least wait, if your team needs SSO or audit logs and you don't want a sales call, because those are Enterprise only. For a wider set of planning and focus tools, this list of productivity and organisation tools is a good place to keep looking.

Sunsama verdict: is the two-week trial worth starting?

I'd start the 14-day trial if you plan your days by hand and want one tool that brings your calendar and tasks together, because it costs nothing and needs no card. I'd go monthly at 22 dollars first if you're unsure the habit will last, and only move to yearly at 17 dollars a month once it has. I'd skip Sunsama if you want a planner that stays free, or if your company needs SSO without talking to sales.
