Social media blogs that accept guest posts are a small, busy niche, and most of the sites on my list are still live. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 21 sites are tagged social media: 19 were live and 10 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include postplanner.com, agorapulse.com and socialmediaexplorer.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.

Every brand, agency and tool company wants to be seen as good at social media, so links from sites about social media are in demand. Scheduling tools, analytics platforms, agencies, freelancers and course creators all chase the same small group of editors.

Several of the strongest sites on this list are run by the tool companies themselves. They publish guides to win readers who might become customers, which tells you what they want from a guest post: practical advice their own users can act on.

This page pulls the social media sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.

How many social media blogs on my list still accept guest posts?

2 of the 21 social media sites were dead or parked, so 19 are worth a look. More than half of the live sites (10 of 19) had a domain authority of 40 or more. The catch is that the biggest names belong to social media software companies, and they're careful about posts that mention a competitor.

Which social media blogs accept guest posts?

Twelve live social media sites from my list, with their domain authority when I checked:

  • postplanner.com: DA 66
  • agorapulse.com: DA 66
  • socialmediaexplorer.com: DA 64
  • socialmediaclub.org: DA 61
  • socialnomics.net: DA 59
  • socialpilot.co: DA 55
  • thesocialmediahat.com: DA 48
  • clickfire.com: DA 45
  • socialmediastrategiessummit.com: DA 43
  • socialmediarevolver.com: DA 42
  • socialh.com: DA 38
  • socialwebcafe.com: DA 37

A couple of the live sites are general tech blogs that happen to cover social platforms, so I've left them out of the examples. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.

Tool blogs, agency blogs or industry news?

Social media sites fall into a few camps, and each wants a different post:

  • Tool company blogs want how-to guides that fit their product's users, written without naming a rival tool.
  • Agency and consultant blogs want strategy posts, client lessons and campaign breakdowns.
  • Industry and community sites want trends, platform changes and opinion with evidence behind it.
  • General marketing blogs want social posts that tie back to leads, sales or brand.

Social media tools and agencies fit best on the industry and general marketing sites. A tool company blog will rarely publish a post that promotes another tool, so pitch them the advice, not the product.

What do social media editors want?

Freshness. Platforms change features, limits and algorithms all the time, so editors want posts that are right today, with the platform and the feature named clearly. A guide to a feature that's been switched off is an instant no.

They also want proof. Screenshots, a campaign you ran, numbers from your own accounts or a client's, explained in plain words. A list of tips anyone could copy from the platform's help pages won't get a reply.

Free guest post or sponsored post on a social media blog?

Tool company blogs and the bigger industry sites mostly publish free posts from experts they trust, and they can be slow to answer. Smaller social media blogs are more open. Sponsored posts are faster and more predictable, which suits agencies placing posts for clients on a deadline.

How do you check a social media blog before you pitch?

  • Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
  • Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
  • Check the platforms they cover. A site that only writes about Facebook and Instagram won't want your TikTok or LinkedIn post.
  • Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
  • Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.

My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. Social media overlaps with wider marketing and content work, so my marketing blogs that accept guest posts and SEO blogs that accept guest posts pages are useful places to widen your search.

How should you pitch a social media blog?

Lead with one platform and one result. "How we used LinkedIn carousels to book sales calls for a small accounting firm" is a pitch. "Social media tips for business" is not. Add two backup titles and a line on what you've run yourself.

Keep the link modest. One link to a detailed guide, a template or a case study is easy to approve. A link to a tool's sign-up page in the first paragraph usually isn't.

Time it well. If a platform has just changed something, a fast, accurate explainer from someone who's tested it is the easiest yes an editor will see that week.

My advice

Pitch the tool company blogs only with advice their users need, and send anything with a product angle to the smaller social and marketing blogs instead. You'll get more yeses, and you won't burn the bigger editors.

Can you place a social media post on my blog?

Yes. Social media marketing is one of the main topics on my blog: platform strategy, content, ads, analytics and the tools businesses use. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Posts that help business owners get results from social media are a good fit. Guidelines are on my social media write for us page.

How placing a post on my blog works

  1. Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
  2. I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
  3. You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
  4. I edit, publish and send you the live URL.

Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.

If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.

Placing a social media post? Email [email protected] with your target URL, topic and niche, or start on my write for me page. Agencies and repeat buyers are welcome.
