The best Persana alternative depends on which part of prospecting you want done differently: building data workflows, searching a big contact database, acting on buying signals or simply finding emails and numbers. Most of these tools run on credits, so judge them by how many valid contacts they return from your own prospects, not by the database size they advertise.
Persana pitches itself as an AI prospecting tool that finds, enriches and personalises outbound at scale, then helps you book meetings. When sales teams and founders start looking elsewhere, it's usually for one of three reasons. They want more control over how the data is pulled together, a bigger database to search, or a lighter tool that does one job well and stays out of the way.
Here are ten alternatives, in no particular order. I've grouped them by approach before the list, because a workflow builder and a Chrome extension aren't competing for the same job, even when both promise verified emails on their home pages.
Four approaches to finding and enriching prospects
Workflow builders. Clay is infrastructure for pulling data from many sources, running agentic workflows and launching go-to-market plays, so it rewards teams with someone who enjoys building. Derrick sits at the lighter end of the same idea: one enrichment engine you can reach from a web app, a spreadsheet, an AI assistant or an API, which suits people who live in sheets.
Databases with outreach attached. Apollo joins contact data, intelligence and execution in one platform. Lemlist starts from outreach and adds verified contact finding, so it makes sense if your campaigns matter more to you than your database. Seamless.AI is a contact database first, built around finding direct dials and emails.
Signal-led tools. Warmly begins with people already on your website, rather than a cold list, and tries to identify and engage them. Unify combines AI agents, B2B data, signals and sequencing, all driven from a chat interface. Both make most sense when you've already got traffic or intent to act on.
Lighter finders. Wiza, Prospeo and Evaboot do a narrower job: find verified emails and mobile numbers, then export them. The last one is built specifically around LinkedIn Sales Navigator searches. If your outreach tool is already sorted and you only need cleaner contact data, this is where to look first.

Who should shortlist each data tool
Listed A to Z, one line each.
Apollo
Best for: Teams wanting one connected system that joins contact data, sales intelligence and outreach, rather than stitching separate tools together (vendor claim).
Clay
Best for: Go-to-market builders who like to combine data sources, run agentic workflows and launch plays from one workspace.
Derrick
Best for: Anyone enriching lead lists with work emails, phone numbers and LinkedIn URLs, from a web app, a spreadsheet, an AI assistant or an API.
Evaboot
Best for: LinkedIn Sales Navigator users who want a Chrome extension that exports clean leads and finds verified emails in one click.
Lemlist
Best for: Outbound teams finding verified contacts and running multichannel campaigns, from inside the product, their CRM or an AI assistant, per the vendor.
Prospeo
Best for: Sales reps who mainly need verified business emails and mobile numbers, then a clean export into their outreach tool.
Seamless.AI
Best for: Prospectors who want a large searchable database of B2B contacts, direct dials and emails, which the vendor pitches as where every deal starts.
Unify
Best for: Outbound teams wanting AI agents, B2B data, buying signals and sequencing together, driven from a single chat interface (vendor's description).
Warmly
Best for: Companies whose best leads already visit their website and who want those visitors identified, enriched with intent data and engaged by AI chat and email.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Wiza
Best for: Small sales teams that need verified emails and mobile numbers for B2B contacts, with verification done in real time per the vendor.
Hit rate matters more than database size
Here's what the home pages don't make obvious. Nearly every tool on this list runs on credits, and a credit gets used whether or not the lookup finds anything useful. A huge headline contact count tells you very little about how many of your own prospects the tool will find, or how many of those emails will bounce.
So don't compare databases, compare results. The test below takes an afternoon and gives you a number you can trust, because it's built from your own market rather than the vendor's demo.
- Pull 100 real prospects from your CRM or a recent target list, with a mix of job titles, company sizes and countries you sell to.
- Load exactly the same 100 into two trials, so neither tool gets an easier list.
- Count how many valid work emails and mobile numbers each returns, then run the emails through a verifier or a small send to check bounces.
- Ask each vendor in writing what counts as a used credit: a search, a lookup that finds nothing, an export, or a re-check of a contact you already pulled.
- Compare valid contacts per credit used, not total contacts found.
You won't always need a big plan to run this. At least one enrichment tool here states a free forever allowance of monthly credits on its own site, as of Nov 2026, which is enough for a test of this size.
My advice before you move your prospecting data
Decide what you're replacing before you open a single trial. If Persana was mostly your enrichment layer, a workflow builder or a spreadsheet-based tool will feel closest. If you were using it to find people from scratch, look at the databases. If your best leads already come to your website, the signal-led tools deserve a slot on your shortlist.
Keep it to two tools and run the hit-rate test on both. It's dull, but it's the only comparison that reflects your market. For a wider view of the category, my guide to data enrichment tools covers more options, and my roundup of AI lead generation tools looks at the prospecting side in more depth.
Whatever you pick, check how contact data is sourced and how you'll handle opt-outs. Rules on cold email and personal data vary by country, so check your regulator's guidance before a big campaign.
Three credit traps to avoid
- Buying a big annual credit bundle before you've measured your own hit rate.
- Re-enriching contacts you already have, because the tool counts every refresh as a new lookup.
- Letting several reps run the same searches, so the team spends credits on duplicates.

Frequently asked questions
Why do prospecting tools use credits?
Credits let vendors charge for each lookup, export or enrichment. That's why the same plan can go a long way for one team and run out fast for another, depending on hit rate and duplicates.
How do I compare email finders fairly?
Load the same list of real prospects into two tools and count valid emails and mobile numbers, then check bounces. Use your own market, not the vendor's sample data.
Is a big contact database always better?
No. What matters is how many of your target accounts it covers and how fresh that data is. A smaller tool with a better hit rate in your niche can beat a bigger one.
What's the difference between enrichment and a contact database?
A contact database lets you search for new people. Enrichment adds missing details, such as emails, phone numbers or LinkedIn URLs, to a list you already have.
Do I need consent to email business contacts?
It depends on where you and your prospects are. The rules for business email and personal data vary by country, so check your data protection regulator's guidance.
Can I use more than one data tool?
Yes, and many teams do, running a second tool only on the contacts the first one missed. Just watch that you don't spend credits twice on the same people.
