Lindy is an AI agent you hand real work to, from drafting replies to research reports, and it suits people who'll try it on free credits before paying. The catch, as of Oct 2026, is that it's metered in credits: the free 50 dollars of credits lasts 7 days, and on Team every active user is billed.
If you're searching for a Lindy AI review, you probably want to know what it'll cost once the free credits run out, because that's the bit that's hard to picture. I read Lindy's own pricing page, including its explanation of what a credit buys, so this page sticks to what Lindy says. It won't tell you how many hours it saves, because the page doesn't.
Lindy plans, credits and billing
| Plan | Price (US dollars) | What's included | The limit that bites |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 dollars, with 50 dollars in credits | Setup in 2 minutes, no credit card required | The free credits last 7 days, then you'll need a paid plan |
| Team | From 29.99 dollars a month for 3,000 credits | Everything in Free, credits pooled across your team, top-ups, choose your model for each task, computer use, live onboarding | Every active user in the workspace is billed, from 29.99 dollars a month for 3,000 credits each |
| Top-up | 10 dollars per 1,000 credits | Extra credits whenever you need them | Pay as you go on top of the plan |
| Enterprise | Custom | Everything in Team, plus security, compliance and control, custom credits and billing, HIPAA compliance | Priced by a demo call, not on the page |
These figures are as of Oct 2026. Team has bigger credit steps on the page; I've only listed the entry step, so check the vendor's pricing page before you buy.
How Lindy's credits get spent
Lindy doesn't sell you a flat seat with unlimited use. It sells credits, and its page puts it plainly: credits measure the work Lindy does, and you only use them when Lindy is working. So the real question isn't the monthly price. It's how much work you'll give it.
Lindy's own pricing page breaks tasks into three bands, and they're worth reading closely:
- Everyday asks, 2 to 250 credits: answers, summaries, lookups and updates in your tools, closing out a meeting, drafting a reply.
- Deep work, 250 to 1,000 credits: researching a competitor and writing the report, triaging a day's support queue, turning a week of calls into a proposal, building basic HTML artifacts.
- Big builds, 1,000 to 2,500 credits: the largest jobs on Lindy's list.
Now set that against the entry Team step of 3,000 credits a month. A month of small asks could fit easily. A couple of big builds could use most of it. That's why I can't tell you how long 3,000 credits lasts, and neither can Lindy's page. It depends entirely on what you hand over. If you run short, top-ups are 10 dollars per 1,000 credits.
The 7-day clock and per-user billing
Two details change how you should test Lindy. First, the free plan isn't a monthly allowance. It's 50 dollars in credits, and Lindy's page says the free credits last 7 days. That's a short window, so have your real tasks ready before you sign up, or you'll spend half the week deciding what to try.
Second, the Team plan bills every active user in your workspace, from 29.99 dollars a month for 3,000 credits each. Credits are pooled across the team, which helps, but adding a colleague adds a bill. If you're a team of one, that's simple. If you're bringing in five people to poke at it, it's five bills.
What you can hand Lindy
Going by the examples on its pricing page, Lindy is built to do work inside the tools you already use: answering, summarising, looking things up and updating records, closing out meetings and drafting replies. At the heavier end, it'll research a competitor and write the report, triage a support queue, or turn a week of calls into a proposal. Team adds computer use, the choice of model for each task, pooled credits and live onboarding. Enterprise adds security, compliance and control, with HIPAA compliance on its list. If you're new to the idea, I've written a plain explainer on how AI agents and automation work for a small business, and a separate piece on using an AI meeting assistant for notes.

Who Lindy suits and who should pass
- It suits you if you've got varied, real work to hand an AI agent, from inbox replies to meeting follow-ups.
- It suits you if you're happy to keep an eye on a credit meter and top up when you need to.
- It suits you if you can set aside the first week to try it on the free credits.
- Pass if you want a flat, predictable monthly bill.
- Pass if you can't test it inside the 7 days the free credits last.
- Pass if you'd be adding lots of occasional users, since each active user is billed.
My verdict on Lindy
I'd try Lindy if you've got a stack of real tasks waiting and can clear a week to throw them at it. The 50 dollars of free credits is a fair test, but only if you use it while the 7 days are running. I'd skip it if you need to know your bill to the cent each month, because credits move with the work and every active user on Team is billed. Before you pay, look at the task bands on Lindy's page and be honest about which band most of your work falls into. That tells you more than the headline price.
