Is High 5 Casino Legit? Rules, Redemptions and States (2026)

High 5 Casino is a real social casino, and its own rules name High 5 Entertainment, LLC as the company running the sweepstakes. The rules say it's open to adults aged 21 or older, that no purchase is needed to enter or win, and that 21 states are excluded. The catch: coin packages can be lost, redemptions need a minimum balance and ID checks, and New York's Attorney General has named it.

High 5 Casino has been around long enough that plenty of people recognise the name from slot games, so it's a fair question whether the sweepstakes version pays out. I've read the official rules page end to end and checked what officials and the press have said, and I'll tell you what's solid and what to watch. I'm not giving legal advice, and what's allowed depends on your state.

High 5 Entertainment and the sweepstakes behind High 5 Casino

The sweepstakes rules on High 5 Casino's own site name High 5 Entertainment, LLC as the company running the promotion, with an address in Mahwah, New Jersey. That's the useful starting point: there's a named company and a postal address in the rules rather than a vague brand.

The model is the same one other social casinos use. You play with Gold Coins for fun, and Sweeps Coins are the type that can be redeemed for prizes. The rules say plainly that no purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win, and the coins you get through free routes like a daily bonus count for this purpose.

Who can play High 5 Casino: the age rule and 21 excluded states

Section 2.1 of the rules says the sweepstakes is open to residents who are 21 years of age or older when they enter. It then lists the states where residents are excluded:

  • Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho and Indiana
  • Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland and Michigan
  • Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia

There's also a notice about Oklahoma. It says Oklahoma players can't register new accounts or buy coins from the 15th of October, and can't access the platform from inside the state from the 29th. The list moves, so read the live version inside the app before you play or buy, because an older review will be out of date.

How High 5 Casino redemptions work

This is the part most people care about, and the rules are specific. Section 8.2 sets a minimum of 50 Sweeps Coins for a non-cash prize and 100 Sweeps Coins for a cash prize. One Sweeps Coin is redeemable for one dollar in prize value, so the cash minimum is the equivalent of 100 dollars.

Before coins count towards a redemption, the rules say Sweeps Coins from routes such as the daily bonus must be used at least once in a Sweeps Coins game. The company may ask for more than one use. So a small free balance won't always turn into a quick cash-out, and that's by design.

ID checks and payout times at High 5 Casino

The rules describe a Know-Your-Customer check that may be needed before any redemption, and it can be repeated each time. It can include a valid government-issued photo ID. Processing may take up to 10 days, and larger prizes can take longer because of extra checks. If you want your money within minutes, this isn't that kind of product.

Practical tip: upload clear ID before you chase a big balance, and make sure the name on your account matches the name on your ID. Mismatches are the classic reason a redemption stalls.

What officials and courts have said about High 5 Casino

Treat these as actions and allegations, not final rulings. The New York Attorney General's office listed High 5 Casino among 26 platforms it sent cease and desist letters to, and quoted the Attorney General saying online sweepstakes casinos are illegal, dangerous, and can seriously ruin people's finances.

Lines.com also reported that Baltimore City sued six sweepstakes casino operators in Baltimore City Circuit Court, naming brands including High 5 Games, and alleging they run the same slot machines, blackjack tables and roulette wheels found in licensed Maryland casinos. Both New York and Maryland are on the rules' excluded list, which is worth noticing. I'm not going to tell you what's lawful where you live: your state regulator and the rules are the places to check.

The real catch with High 5 Casino

It's a slot-and-casino-style app, so outcomes are chance. If you buy Gold Coin packages and get Sweeps Coins with them, you can lose every bit of what you spend, and the redemption minimum means small wins may sit there. Set a limit before you open it, never chase a loss, and step away if it stops being fun.

Spotting fake High 5 Casino offers

Well-known names get cloned. The rules describe redeeming through your own account after an ID check, nothing else. Be wary of messages offering free coins for a fee, anyone asking for your login or a photo of your ID in a chat, or lookalike sites. Download the app from official stores and type the web address yourself.
