How To Effectively Promote Your Business With TikTok

TikTok is a social media platform with more than one billion active users and has undoubtedly become one of the fastest-growing social platforms globally.

Moreover, it can be considered the modern social platform since 60% of users on TikTok are Gen Z users and has more than 2.7 billion downloads on the app store and Google play. This is quite a lot of downloads and users indeed, so how effective can it be for promoting your business?

Well, don’t go anywhere because, in this article, we will find out how TikTok can help you effectively promote your business on TikTok.

A few ways you can effectively promote your business on TikTok

Create unique content

When you initially scroll through TikTok, you figure out that there is too much content to go through, and you sometimes can’t keep up with all of the content. So in order to stand out from your competition, and keep content relevant to your niche and target audience, do the following:

  • Follow the trends and challenges: What is excellent about TikTok is the fact that you can never run out of ideas for new videos. All you have to do is look up new hashtags and videos and join in. Don’t forget to include hashtags that make your brand stand out.
  • Avoid creating scripted videos: You don’t want to be making videos on TikTok that make you look like a robot. You don’t need any special equipment to do this either. The only important thing you need is a phone with a decent camera and lighting.
  • Define your audience: TikTok is a platform for entertainment and allows you to create valuable content for your target audience. Furthermore, you need to know which audience you target before starting.

Promote user-generated content

While creating videos for your business is exciting, there is another effective way for promoting your company: using user-generated content. Try setting up a hashtag for your business and then ask your customers to use it when they are going live or create a video relevant to your product. In fact, according to UNUM, streaming on TikTok is a great tool to promote your brand.

This way, you allow your prospects to learn more about what your company stands for by using the best marketing strategy of all time- word of mouth. Furthermore, this may influence them to purchase your TikTok video.

Add effects and some music

TikTok has unique features that you can use that include music. Many users commonly use the lip-sync video with the style of musical.ly, where they mouth words with popular songs. In some way, it’s similar to creating your music videos. The best part about this is that TikTok allows you to add any music without copyright infringements.

Adding music to your video is easy to do; all you have to do is press the “sound” button at the top of the screen.

Create fun content

TikTok is all about expressing your creativity and having fun. The time to create fun content is here and what is unique is that nobody can steal your creativity. It’s one of the easiest and most expensive ways to promote your business on TikTok.

By fun content, we don’t mean creating content that loses your professionalism at work or makes you look bad. Instead, we suggest including something unique, such as adding exciting background music, a stimulating effect that no other video has, or something else you can think of.

Work with TikTok influencers

Having so many active users, we are sure that many TikTok influencers are also around. TikTok influencers are an excellent way of exposing your business more across the platform. However, don’t fall into the mistake of contacting influencers that aren’t part of your niche. Some companies fall into this trap, thinking that any influencer may help them, but it isn’t entirely true.

Furthermore, working with influencers helps you establish a connection with other powerful influencers or maybe even celebrities. Influencers are separated into different categories:

  • Micro-influencers: a low fan-base but usually have the best engagement rates out of all influencers. In addition, Micro-influencers typically offer the lowest prices and are easier to reach.
  • Mid-range influencers: usually will have more than 50,000 or 100,000 followers, but not all of them are engaged. We recommend you contact them if you have at least more than 5,000 followers.
  • Macro-influencers or celebrities: the VIPs of TikTok, who will usually have more than 100,000 followers and even might not accept to partner with you in case you don’t have enough presence on TikTok. Celebrities are pretty expensive to hire but, at the same time, don’t have many active followers.

However, it’s crucial to build an authentic audience; while some businesses might be tempted to buy TikTok views for a quick boost, genuine engagement with real users is what truly drives success on the platform

In addition to that, there are platforms where you can find TikTok influencers. Here are a few of them:

  • CreatorIQ
  • Upfluence
  • Aspire
  • Tribe Dynamics
  • Klear.com

Wrapping it up

Well, that’s all for this article. These were our top ways how you could use TikTok to promote your business effectively. Let’s not forget that TikTok is similar to Youtube but has its uniqueness in the video marketing industry. The only thing you need to do is find out what kind of content you are going to promote and ensure that you are targeting the right audience.

Think of something unique that can help you stand out from your competitors since, as you saw yourself, there are many active users on TikTok. Then, contact the right influencers and see which ones are part of your niche to help you gain more exposure in your target audience. After all, TikTok is about having fun, so why not use it to take your business to a whole new level?
