To contact Snapchat Support, open the Snapchat Support Site, tap the yellow question mark to chat with the Support Bot, or pick a contact form such as I can't access my account or I need help with a Snapchat feature. Bugs go through Settings, then Bugs and Suggestions, and harmful content through Report in the app.
Snapchat doesn't run a phone line or a public email inbox for everyday help. Its own contact article sends you down one of a handful of routes depending on what's wrong, and picking the right route is what gets you an answer. If you've been searching for how to email Snapchat, the closest thing is a support form: you fill it in, and the reply comes to your email.
Pick the right route for your problem
| Your problem | Where to go | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Can't log in or account locked | Contact form: I can't access my account, or the Appeal Decision pop-up in the app | Snapchat emails you |
| A feature isn't working | Support Bot, then the I need help with a Snapchat feature form | The Bot can raise a request for you |
| Someone's harassing you or posting harmful content | Press and hold the content and tap Report, or the report an account or content form | Reviewed by Snapchat's teams |
| Something's broken in the app | Settings, then Bugs and Suggestions, then Report a Bug | Logged; Snapchat can't reply to every report |
| A general how-to question | AI Search or the help articles | Instant answer |
Steps to reach a person through the Support Bot
- Go to the Snapchat Support Site in your browser.
- Tap or click the yellow question mark button at the bottom of the page.
- Describe your problem in plain words.
- Answer the Bot's follow-up questions. Snapchat says it may ask for your username, or the email and phone number on your account.
- If the Bot can't solve it, it can create a support request on your behalf, so you don't have to start again.
If you'd rather skip the Bot, the same help page lists four contact forms: I can't access my account, I need help with a Snapchat feature, I want to report an account or content, and I want to report a bug. Choose the one that fits best, because a request filed under the wrong topic tends to bounce around.
One more option sits under the Bot: you can search the Support Site without AI at all. If you know the feature name, a plain search often finds the official steps faster than a conversation, and you're reading Snapchat's own words rather than a summary.
Reporting a bug from inside the app
- In My Account, tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Bugs and Suggestions.
- Choose Report a Bug or Make a Suggestion and follow the steps.
Be realistic about this one. Snapchat says plainly that it isn't able to respond to all the feedback it receives. Bug reports help fix the app, but they're not a way to get a personal reply.
Locked out? The appeal only works one way
This is the rule that trips people up most. If Snapchat has locked your account and the lock can be appealed, you'll see an Appeal Decision option on the pop-up when you try to log in. Snapchat says the in-app appeal is the only appropriate route, and appealing any other way won't speed it up. If there's no Appeal Decision pop-up, the lock isn't eligible for appeal.
- You've got six months from being told about the decision to appeal.
- Snapchat aims to give you an outcome within two weeks, though it says that's a rough estimate.
- The result comes by email, so make sure you can still get into the email address on your account.
- In the EU and UK, some removed Spotlight or Map posts can be appealed from Settings, then Account Status, where eligible items say Tap to Appeal.
What Snapchat Support won't do
Save yourself a wait. Snapchat's help centre says Support can't add, restore or replace Friend Emojis, including BFF and Super BFF hearts. Lost Streaks are similar: if there's no Restore button next to the chat, Snapchat says it usually ended too long ago, and only recently expired Streaks can be brought back through its form.
Some questions are faster to answer yourself than through a ticket. If a friend has vanished from your list, my guide on how to know if someone blocked you on Snapchat explains the signs, and if you blocked someone by mistake, here's how to unblock someone on Snapchat.

Getting a useful reply
- Use the email address and username that are on the account, so Snapchat can match your request.
- Describe one problem per request, with what you tapped and what you saw.
- Check AI Search answers against the linked articles. Snapchat itself warns that generative AI can give inaccurate answers.
- Watch your inbox and spam folder, because that's where replies land.
My advice
Start with the Support Bot. It's quicker than hunting for a form, and if it can't help, it hands your problem to a person without you retyping it. If you're locked out, don't waste time looking for an email address: try to log in, look for Appeal Decision, and keep an eye on the inbox linked to your account.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Snapchat support email address?
Snapchat's contact page doesn't list one. You use the Support Bot or a contact form, and Snapchat replies to the email on your request.
Can I phone Snapchat Support?
Snapchat's official contact routes are the Support Bot, AI Search, contact forms and in-app reporting. No phone line is listed.
How do I appeal a locked Snapchat account?
Try to log in and tap Appeal Decision on the pop-up. If it isn't there, Snapchat says the lock isn't eligible for appeal.
How long does a Snapchat appeal take?
Snapchat aims to tell you the outcome within two weeks, though it says timing can vary.
Can Snapchat Support restore my streak or best friend emojis?
Not emojis. Snapchat Support can't add, restore or replace Friend Emojis. A recently lost Streak may be restored through the Restore button or Snapchat's form.
