Fireflies describes itself in one line: "Transcribe, summarize, search, and analyze all your team conversations." Before you invite a bot into every meeting, it helps to know which of those you get on which plan. I read the Fireflies homepage and pricing page, and the plan you need comes down to storage and summaries more than transcription.

Storage and AI credits don't climb with the price
The free plan is easy to summarise: transcription without a meeting cap, but limited AI summaries, no video recording and 400 minutes of storage shared by the whole team. I've covered the free plan on its own elsewhere, so here I want to look at what happens when you pay.
Storage is the line that changes most. It's 400 minutes per team on Free, 8,000 minutes per seat on Pro and unlimited on Business. Note the switch from "per team" to "per seat". On Free, everyone shares one pot; on Pro, each paid seat gets its own. If you keep a long archive of calls to search back through, Pro's 8,000 minutes per seat is the number to watch, and Business is the first plan with no storage ceiling at all.
AI credits are the line that barely moves. Free and Pro both list 20 AI credits, Business lists 30 and Enterprise 50. So paying for Pro doesn't buy you more AI credits; it buys unlimited summaries, recording, downloads and the assistant features. If your reason for upgrading is heavy use of AI credits, the page doesn't show that growing much until the top tiers.
Then there's the price pair. Each paid plan shows two numbers: 18 and 10 dollars a seat on Pro, 29 and 19 on Business. The first is the monthly view and the second is billed annually. Enterprise is 39 dollars a seat and annual only, so there's no monthly option at that level.

My verdict on Fireflies
I'd start on the free plan to see whether the transcripts and limited summaries change how you run meetings. If they do, Pro is where it becomes a daily tool, because that's where unlimited summaries, recording and downloads arrive. I'd only go to Business if you need conversation intelligence, team analytics or unlimited storage for a long archive. And I'd skip the upgrade if what you're after is lots more AI credits, since Pro lists the same 20 as Free. Pick annual billing only once you're sure the whole team will use it.
