Reverse ETL tools copy modelled data out of your data warehouse and into the business apps your teams use, such as the CRM, ad platforms and email tools, on a schedule or in real time. Many now sell this inside a wider customer data platform. Ten tools follow in no particular order.
Most data pipelines flow one way: from apps into the warehouse. Reverse ETL runs the other way, so the customer scores, audiences and account fields your data team builds end up where sales and marketing work every day.
The ten tools below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from each vendor's own website, read as of Oct 2026. If you're moving data into the warehouse rather than out of it, my guide to ETL tools covers that direction.
Reverse ETL and warehouse sync tools at a glance
I checked the free plan column on each vendor's own website, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the page names a free plan, a free version or an open source edition. Trial only means the page names a time-limited free trial. Not stated means the page I read named neither, so check the vendor's own site before you sign up.
| Tool | Type | Good for | Free plan |

Ten reverse ETL tools for warehouse-to-app sync
Census
Best for: Fivetran customers, since this name's old address now opens Fivetran, whose platform lists activations that move warehouse data to business tools.
DinMo
Best for: Marketing teams who want a no-code composable CDP that connects to their destinations in 30 minutes or less through its reverse ETL.
Hevo Data
Best for: Data teams who want one pipeline tool for database replication with CDC and for moving data to every destination they need.
Hightouch
Best for: Marketers who want audiences built straight on the data warehouse, plus reverse ETL syncs, ad tools and AI decisioning in one platform.
mParticle
Best for: Ecommerce brands that want to move from a marketing goal to an audience through conversation, then use their established activation workflows.
Omnata
Best for: Snowflake customers who want integration as a native app, connecting the warehouse and SaaS apps directly with no extra infrastructure.
Polytomic
Best for: Teams replacing several sync vendors with one platform for ETL, ELT, CDC streaming, reverse ETL and general data syncs.
RudderStack
Best for: Data and engineering teams streaming governed customer data to ad platforms, CRM and analytics through 200+ real-time destination integrations.
Twilio Segment
Best for: Companies already on Twilio who want their customer data platform next to messaging, email and conversation tools from the same vendor.
Weld
Best for: Smaller data teams who want replication from 300+ sources, SQL transformations and reverse ETL syncs back to their tools in one place.
Reverse ETL is folding into customer data platforms
Here's the shift most comparison posts haven't caught. When I opened the vendor pages, the Census address went straight to Fivetran, an ELT company. And Hightouch, the other famous reverse ETL name, now calls itself a customer data and AI platform for marketers, with agents, ad tools and lifecycle campaigns on top of its syncs.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Several others make the same move from the opposite side: customer data platforms that added warehouse syncs. So decide what you're buying. If you only need a few fields copied from the warehouse into the CRM, a sync tool may be all you need. If marketing wants to build audiences and campaigns itself, you're shopping for a CDP.
Composable CDP or packaged CDP?
A composable CDP sits on top of the warehouse you already have, so the data team's models stay the single version of the customer. DinMo, for example, lets you choose the modules you need, from activation to hosting a tailored cloud warehouse. A packaged CDP collects events itself and keeps its own profiles, which suits teams without a well-modelled warehouse. A third route skips middleware entirely: Omnata runs as a native app inside Snowflake and says it never handles or stores your data.
Questions to ask before you sync anything
- Destinations. Does it support the exact CRM, ad and email tools you use, in both directions where you need them?
- Sync frequency. Is it scheduled, near real time or streaming?
- Who builds audiences. Can marketers do it without SQL, or does every audience go through the data team?
- Bad data. What happens when a wrong record syncs into the CRM? It's much harder to clean up downstream.
- Where the data lives. Some tools run inside your warehouse and never store your data at all.
That bad data question is why many teams pair reverse ETL with monitoring. My guide to data observability tools covers how to catch a broken table before it reaches the CRM.

My plain advice on reverse ETL tools
Work out who'll use it before you compare features. If the data team just needs to push a few fields into the CRM, choose a focused sync tool and keep it simple. If marketers want to build their own audiences, test a composable CDP against your real warehouse tables. And ask every vendor who owns them now, because this category keeps changing hands.
If you also need to combine data from many sources in the first place, my roundup of data integration tools is the place to start.

Frequently asked questions
What is reverse ETL?
It's the process of copying data from your data warehouse back into operational tools such as a CRM, ad platform or email tool, so teams can act on it.
What's the difference between ETL and reverse ETL?
ETL moves data from apps and databases into the warehouse. Reverse ETL moves modelled data from the warehouse out to the apps people use.
Is reverse ETL the same as a CDP?
Not quite, but they're merging. Several reverse ETL vendors now sell a composable CDP, and several CDPs now sync from the warehouse.
Are there free reverse ETL tools?
None of the vendor pages here named a free plan when I read them. Several name a free trial, so check the free plan column and each vendor's own site.
Which reverse ETL tools work natively with Snowflake?
One tool here runs as a native app inside Snowflake, and most others connect to it as a source warehouse. Check your exact warehouse before you commit.
