The Confluence apps teams install most add diagrams, interactive tables, PDF and Word export, document workflows, numbered headings and automation. Installs and ratings don't line up, so check the review count and the latest release date as well as the install count. Eleven Confluence Cloud apps follow in no particular order.
Confluence covers the basics of a team wiki, and apps fill the gaps: diagrams inside pages, tables you can filter, clean exports for clients, approval workflows and automation for admins. The eleven here are Confluence Cloud apps with some of the biggest install counts.
Every number comes from each app's listing in the Atlassian app store, as of Oct 2026: installs, review count, average rating and the latest release date. They're listed alphabetically and in no particular order. If you're still deciding whether Confluence is the right home for your team's knowledge, my guide to the best knowledge base software compares the wider options.
Confluence Cloud apps compared
Type and Good for come from each app's own listing, as of Oct 2026. The Free plan column reads Not stated for all eleven, so check each listing's plans before you add an app to your site.

What went into this Confluence shortlist
Only what the Atlassian app store shows for Confluence Cloud: installs, the number of reviews, the average rating, the latest release date and the vendor. Nothing was installed or scored. Appfire has four entries here and K15t has two.
Big install counts, few reviews
Gliffy Diagrams has 799 ratings on 15,735 installs, while Mermaid Diagrams has 23 on 6,196, as of Oct 2026. Advanced Tables shows the lowest average on the list, 3.8 on 57 ratings, and draw.io Diagrams leads with 60,399 installs.
So the install count tells you how many sites have added an app, the review count tells you how many admins bothered to say what they thought, and the average only means much when there are enough reviews behind it. Read all three together, then the most recent reviews.
Matching a Confluence add-on to the gap in your wiki
- Your pages need diagrams: pick a diagram app, either a visual editor or one that turns text into diagrams.
- Your tables need filters and charts: pick a table and chart app that turns static pages into reports.
- You send Confluence content to clients: pick an exporter for PDF or Word.
- Your documents need review and approval: pick a document management app with workflows.
- You reuse the same text across pages: pick an excerpt app, so one update shows everywhere.
- You run the site and want automation: pick a scripting and bulk management app.
Five questions before adding anything to Confluence
- Make sure the listing is for Confluence Cloud if that's what your team uses.
- Read the review count next to the average, not the average on its own.
- Check the latest release date. On this list it runs from July 9, 2026 to October 28, 2026, as of Oct 2026.
- Look at the vendor. Several apps here come from the same few vendors, which helps if you'd like one support contact.
- Ask whoever looks after your Confluence site before you install anything.

Plain advice on extending Confluence
Add apps for the gaps your team hits every week, not for features you might use one day. Diagrams, tables and exports make up most of this list, and an exporter earns its place once clients need clean documents. Before you install, read the review count next to the average and check the latest release date, because a well-reviewed app that's still being released is a better sign than a big install count alone.
And keep the number of apps down. Each one is another thing for your admin to look after when Confluence changes, so it's worth removing the ones nobody's used in months.

Frequently asked questions
What are Confluence apps?
They're add-ons from the Atlassian app store that give Confluence extra features, such as diagrams, interactive tables, PDF and Word export, workflows and automation.
Do Confluence Cloud apps have ratings?
Yes. Each listing in the Atlassian app store shows an average rating and a review count, along with installs and the latest release date.
Why does an app with more installs have fewer reviews?
Installs count sites that added the app, and reviews come from admins who chose to leave one. The two don't move together, so read both.
Which Confluence apps make diagrams?
Several apps on this list are diagram tools. One turns text into diagrams and the others are visual editors, so choose the style your team prefers.
Can I export Confluence pages to Word or PDF?
Yes, with an exporter app. K15t has one for PDF and one for Word on this list.
