The best AI platform for education depends on the job you need done. Some platforms tutor students and give feedback on their work, some help teachers build lessons and activities, some deliver and grade assessments, and some set each student a personalised learning path. Decide on the job first, then check whether a platform is built for one teacher or a whole district.
Search for AI in education and you'll get a wall of logos that all promise to help. What the sites don't tell you up front is that they're selling very different things.
This list covers ten AI platforms for schools, colleges and teachers, using only what each one's own website says, read on 2 Nov 2026 (as of Nov 2026). It's alphabetical and in no particular order, and it's about whole platforms rather than single prompts or one-off lesson generators.

Four jobs sold under one label
Here's the split you won't guess from the logos: education AI is sold as four different jobs. Flint calls itself 'the AI platform for schools and districts'. Class Companion gives 'AI tutoring and instant feedback' on assignments. Gradescope helps you 'administer and grade all of your assessments', and Squirrel Ai offers 'personalized learning paths'.
- Tutoring and feedback: an AI tutor that helps students with their work, plus feedback on assignments.
- Lessons and activities: tools that turn a teacher's materials or a curriculum into lessons, quizzes and worksheets.
- Assessment and grading: platforms that deliver tests and help grade paper, digital and code work.
- Adaptive learning paths: a personalised route for each student, set by the platform.
Lesson building is its own corner. Nolej 'turns your documents, PDFs, videos and URLs into interactive learning activities', and Oak's Aila is described on its page as 'Oak's AI lesson assistant', built for teachers. If your staff mostly want help preparing, that's where to look first.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Built for a teacher, a district or a family
The second split is who signs up. Some of these platforms have pages for superintendents and principals, some offer routes for teachers, learners, parents and districts, and some are built around a student working through lessons at home or in a centre. A platform one teacher picks for a class is a different decision from one a district rolls out across its schools.
Subjects and stages vary too. CENTURY's menu runs from KS1 to post-16, Packback has separate pages for higher education and K-12, and SchoolAI has versions for teachers, leaders, students and higher ed. Check that a platform covers your age range before you book a demo.
Questions to ask before your school signs up
- Which job do we need: tutoring, lesson building, grading or a learning path?
- Is it for one teacher, a whole school or a district?
- Which subjects and key stages or grades does it cover?
- Does it connect to our LMS, and through what, such as LTI?
- Can teachers edit what the AI produces before pupils see it?
- Is there a route for parents or home learning if we want one?
Do you make an AI platform for schools or teachers? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.
My advice for choosing an education AI platform
Name the job before you look at a single demo. If you want feedback and tutoring on student work, shortlist the tutoring platforms. If teachers want help building lessons and activities, look at the lesson tools. If grading is the bottleneck, start with assessment. And if the decision sits with your district or trust, check which platforms have pages for leaders as well as teachers.

Frequently asked questions
Which of these platforms are built for a whole school district?
Several speak to leaders directly. One calls itself the AI platform for schools and districts and has pages for superintendents and principals, another has a districts route beside its teacher, learner and parent routes, and another has a version for school leaders.
Which of these work with an LMS?
Some say so on their own pages. One exports activities to SCORM or H5P or connects to an LMS through LTI 1.3, one lists an LTI integration, and one lists LMS integrations on its plans page.
Can AI help teachers create lessons?
Two platforms here are built for that. One works step by step with teachers on a lesson plan, slide deck, quizzes and a worksheet drawn from national curriculum-aligned content, and another turns documents, videos and web links into quizzes, flashcards and mind maps.
Is there an AI platform for grading?
One platform on this list is built to administer and grade assessments online or in class, covering paper-based assignments and programming projects, with an autograder for code. Another gives students instant feedback on assignments.
Which of these offer personalised learning paths?
One platform here says it combines adaptive learning, personalised learning paths and real-time support, with students working on a smart-learning tablet. Another offers personalised learning across a range of KS1 to KS4 subjects.
Do any of these have something for parents?
Yes. One has a For Parents section with home learning, one has a parent route beside its teacher and learner routes, and one is built around learning centres with tablets that also work at home.
