Best AI Influencer Generators: 10 Tools for Virtual Creators

The best AI influencer generators create a consistent virtual person who can appear in your images, videos and ads without a camera crew. Some build a full persona with a look and personality, while others give you AI actors to front product videos. Ten options follow in no particular order.

Virtual influencers used to be a big-brand experiment. Now a small shop can create a friendly face for its product videos in an afternoon, and keep that same face across a whole season of content.

The ten generators below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from the tool's own website, read this week. If you're still deciding whether you need a real creator at all, my explainer on influencer platforms and whether you need one is a good place to start.

In the free plan column, Yes means the tool's own site names a free plan, a free account, a free allowance or an open source version. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the pages I read named neither, even where there's a button inviting you to start for free.

Does the FTC treat an AI influencer like a real one?

Yes, and that's a surprise to a lot of business owners. When the Federal Trade Commission updated its Endorsement Guides, it changed the definition of endorsements to clarify the extent to which it includes fake reviews, virtual influencers and tags in social media.

Work with me

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

So a virtual person praising your skincare or your software is still making an endorsement. The same rules about honesty and clear disclosure apply as they would to a human creator, and the claims it makes have to be ones you could back up.

If you publish in the UK, our guide to the ASA influencer rules spells out how those labelling rules work.

Persona platforms versus AI actor libraries

There are two quite different jobs hiding under this one search. Persona platforms help you invent a character with a name, a style and a personality that posts and grows an audience over time. AI actor libraries give you a ready-made presenter to read your script in an ad.

If you'd like a long-running brand character, look for consistency tools and the ability to reuse the same face. If you want lots of ad variations to test, a library of actors and quick scripting matters more.

What to check before you create an AI influencer

  1. Can it keep the same face and style across many posts?
  2. Does it make video with a voice, or images only?
  3. Can I create my own character, not just pick from a library?
  4. Will I be allowed to use the results in ads?
  5. How does it handle likeness of real people?
  6. Can my team share the character and its settings?

Signs your AI influencer needs a rethink

  • The face changes between posts. Followers notice inconsistency fast.
  • It promises results you can't prove. That's an endorsement problem.
  • It looks like a real celebrity. Change it before you publish.
  • Nobody knows what it stands for. Give it a clear personality.

My plain advice on choosing an AI influencer generator

Decide what the character's for before you design it. A brand mascot who appears for years needs a strong personality and strict consistency, while an ad presenter only needs to be clear, likeable and easy to swap when a test loses.

And be open about it. People don't mind a virtual presenter when the product claims are honest, and a little transparency protects you from the endorsement rules. If you're scripting short ads, my guide to UGC video ads that sell works just as well with an AI face.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI influencer generator?

An AI influencer generator creates a virtual person, with a consistent face and style, who can appear in social posts, videos and ads.

Are there free AI influencer generators?

A few tools offer a free plan or a trial. The free plan column in the table shows what each tool's own site says.

Do AI influencers have to be disclosed?

The FTC's updated Endorsement Guides clarify that endorsements include virtual influencers, so honesty and disclosure rules still apply.

Can I use an AI influencer in my ads?

Many of these tools are built for ads. Check each tool's terms for commercial use and keep product claims accurate.

Can I make an AI version of myself?

Some tools let you clone your own face or create a custom avatar, which is handy if you want to appear in more videos without filming them.

Will an AI influencer replace real creators?

For quick ad tests it can, but real creators still bring their own audience and trust, which a new virtual character has to earn.
