Aircall is a cloud business phone system for sales and support teams of three or more who mostly call inside the US and Canada. The catch, as of Oct 2026, is the minimum: Essentials at 30 dollars and Professional at 50 dollars per licence a month both need at least three users, so your starting bill is a team bill.
Aircall usually comes up when a small team outgrows a shared mobile number and wants every call logged against the customer. I read Aircall's own pricing page, with the country set to the United States, and the per-licence figure is only half of what you need to know.
Aircall plans and what each one caps
| Plan | Price listed | What's included | The limit that bites |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | 30 dollars per licence a month | AI Voice Agents with 50 minutes a month, unlimited calls within the US and Canada, SMS and MMS, shared inbox, call recordings and AI transcripts, IVR and basic call flow, basic dashboards, 250+ integrations, one local or toll-free number | Minimum of three users, up to three teams, international calls by quote, analytics up to six months |
| Professional | 50 dollars per licence a month | Everything in Essentials plus AI call summaries and conversation intelligence, smart routing and queue callback, Power Dialer, outbound call campaigns, call whispering and barge, live monitoring, full API access | Minimum of three users, international calls by quote |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing, talk to sales | Unlimited global calls, custom onboarding and prioritised support, API developer support, SSO and SCIM, HIPAA, GDPR and SOC2 compliance language, Analytics+ | A minimum of 25 on the user count, no public price |
| AI Voice Agents | 100 dollars per month minimum | AI that answers and resolves calls, with or without the phone system, 38 languages with custom voices, caller intake questions, trigger-based outbound calling | Its own minimum, separate from the phone plans |
Figures are listed in dollars on the US view of the page as of Oct 2026. The page offers a 25 percent saving for paying annually but doesn't say which billing view these figures belong to, so check the vendor's pricing page before you buy.
Where an Aircall bill grows past the licence price
Start with the minimum. Essentials and Professional both list a minimum of three users, and Enterprise a minimum of 25, so a solo operator can't buy a single licence on these plans. Your real floor is three licences on whichever plan you choose.
Then look at where the calls go. Inbound and internal calls are unlimited on every plan, and outbound domestic calls are unlimited in the US and Canada. International outbound calls on Essentials and Professional are marked Contact us for rates and bundle; only Enterprise lists unlimited global calls. Business texting in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, France and Germany is also contact us for rates. So if you're in the UK or Australia, the page I read doesn't price your calls or texts, and you'll need a quote for your own country.
Smaller add-ons stack up too. Each plan includes one local or toll-free number, and each additional number is 6 dollars a month. Essentials includes 50 minutes a month of AI Voice Agents, while the standalone AI Voice Agents product has its own 100 dollars a month minimum. Call recordings are available up to 1 year by request on Essentials, with six months in the dashboard, and the page notes standard onboarding needs at least eleven users.
What Aircall does day to day
On Essentials you get a shared inbox for the team, call recordings with AI transcripts, and an IVR keypad menu that routes callers to the right team, with business-hours scheduling that sends calls to voicemail outside working hours. Basic dashboards track inbound and outbound activity, call history and network quality. There's a softphone for desktop, Android and iOS.
Professional is the sales plan. Smart Routing sends calls to the right rep using live data from your CRM or help desk, and Queue Callback lets callers ask for a callback instead of holding. The Power Dialer imports up to 1,000 numbers and dials them in sequence, with time between calls for notes and tags. If your reps spend their day on outbound, pair that with a swipe file of cold call opening lines, and my list of sales team productivity tools covers what else sits around the phone.
AI call summaries on Professional include sentiment analysis, key topics and talk-to-listen ratio. AI Voice Agents can answer in 38 languages and take actions in connected systems during or after a call. If you're weighing whether an AI voice agent on your business phone makes sense at all, start there before you add it.

Teams that fit Aircall, and people who shouldn't bother
- Fits: sales and support teams of three or more
- Fits: teams calling mostly inside the US and Canada
- Fits: anyone who wants calls, texts, recordings and CRM sync in one workspace, with a Power Dialer on Professional
- Skip: solo operators, because of the three-user minimum
- Skip: teams calling mainly outside the US and Canada, where international rates are quote-only
- Skip: anyone who wants to price SMS from the pricing page alone
My verdict on Aircall for small teams
I'd look at Aircall if you've got at least three people on the phones, most of your calls stay inside the US and Canada, and you want them logged in your CRM without anyone typing notes. I'd go for Professional if outbound selling is the job, because that's where the Power Dialer and smart routing live. I'd skip it if you're on your own, or if your customers are mostly overseas, until you've got a quote for those calls in writing.
