The right testimonial tool depends on the proof you collect and how you show it. Video-first tools suit recorded stories, simple collectors suit text quotes and walls of love, review tools pull in ratings from other sites, and widget libraries suit sites that need more than testimonials. Check how each one embeds before you commit.
Senja collects testimonials and lets you add them to your website, and its page invites you to get started for free. If you're here, something about that setup has stopped fitting: maybe you want more video, more imports from review sites or a different way of displaying proof.
Nine tools follow, starting with a quick table. They're in no particular order, none is ranked and none is linked, and Senja isn't a row.

Can search engines read your testimonials?
This is the difference most comparison pages miss. Testimonial tools display proof in different ways. Some load it through a script widget, some through an iframe, and some let you publish it as plain HTML on your page. To a visitor they can look identical. To a search engine or an AI assistant reading your page, they aren't.
Text inside an iframe usually belongs to the tool's domain, not yours. Text loaded by a script may or may not be read, depending on how it renders. Plain text on your own page is the version you can be most confident about. If you want your customers' words to help people find you, not just reassure people who've already arrived, check the embed method before you pick a tool.
Two more questions belong with that one. What happens to your widgets if you cancel: do they vanish, show a notice or keep working? And can you export your testimonials, including video files and permissions, in a format another tool can import? Proof you've collected over years shouldn't be stuck inside one subscription.
Video, walls, imports or general widgets
Video first. Vocal Video collects video testimonials remotely from customers, employees and experts, and it includes editing, motion graphics and hosting, per the vendor. It's built for teams that want polished recorded stories rather than quick quotes.
Collect and show. Testimonial.to captures testimonials and shows them on a wall of love, and adds case studies, NPS and brand monitoring. Famewall uses one link for text, video and audio testimonials, then embeds them as widgets or a wall. Shapo has a stated free plan with a cap on testimonials, which makes it an easy place to start. Shoutout focuses on collecting, managing and showcasing testimonials from happy customers.
Reviews and feedback. Endorsal sends automatic review requests and imports reviews from Google and Facebook. Trustmary collects and analyses feedback before showing it as social proof, so it suits teams that want to learn from what customers say as well as display it.
General widgets. EmbedSocial builds embeddable widgets for reviews, social posts and user-generated content. Elfsight is a wide widget library where testimonials are one option among many, which helps if you'd rather manage every site widget in one account.

My advice for moving your social proof
Start from where your best testimonials live today. If most of them are reviews on Google or Facebook, an import tool saves you asking customers twice. If they're stories you want on video, go video-first and accept that collection takes more effort from customers. If they're short quotes, a simple collector is enough, and the embed method matters more than any feature.
Whichever you choose, keep a plain text copy of your strongest quotes on your own pages. My guide to the best video testimonial software goes deeper on recorded proof, and my roundup of review management software covers tools built around ratings on review sites.
Before you cancel Senja
- Export every testimonial, including video files, names, photos and any permissions you collected.
- List every page where a widget is embedded, so nothing breaks unseen.
- Check what the old widgets show once the account closes.
- Rebuild your most visible wall or widget in the new tool first.
- Swap embeds page by page and check each one on mobile.
Done in that order, visitors won't notice the switch, and you won't lose proof you worked hard to collect.

Frequently asked questions
What is a wall of love?
A wall of love is a page or widget that gathers many customer testimonials in one place, often mixing text, photos and video, so visitors see a wide spread of social proof at once.
Are video testimonials better than text testimonials?
They do different jobs. Video feels more personal and is harder to fake. Text is quicker for customers to give, easier to scan, and simpler for search engines to read.
Do testimonial widgets help SEO?
It depends on how they're embedded. Plain text on your own page is the most reliable for search engines. Iframes and some scripts may keep the words out of view.
Can I import Google reviews into a testimonial tool?
Some testimonial and review tools import reviews from Google, Facebook and other sites. Check each platform's terms on how those reviews can be displayed.
What happens to my testimonials if I cancel a tool?
It varies. Some widgets stop showing, others display a notice. Export your testimonials and permissions before you cancel so you can reuse them elsewhere.
