The best LogoAI alternative is the one whose downloadable files you're happy with, not the one with the nicest preview. Logo makers split into AI generators, template makers and website or store platforms. Run your company name through two or three, download whatever each lets you keep, and compare the files before you choose.
Most logo makers let you design and preview for free. The file you can use on a sign, a shop front or a printed box is a different matter: high resolution, vector and full brand files usually sit behind a purchase or a plan. That's the first thing to know if you're leaving LogoAI, an AI logo maker with brand kits and a design studio.
The preview isn't the logo
It's easy to fall for a design on screen and only find out later what you'll get. A preview can look sharp in the browser and still download as a small image that blurs when it's printed or scaled up for a banner.
So before you fall for anything, check which files each tool gives you. A vector file (often SVG, EPS or PDF) scales to any size. A transparent PNG works on websites and social media. A brand kit adds colours and fonts you can hand to a designer or a printer. Also check what the tool says about commercial use of generated logos, because that varies, and it matters the moment you put the logo on a product.
If you're also thinking about protecting your logo as a trade mark, the rules vary by country, so check your national intellectual property office before you rely on any generated design.
Three ways to make a logo
The nine options below are in no particular order. They split into three approaches, and the right one depends on how much of the design you want to steer.
AI generators. Brandmark, Turbologo and Zoviz generate logos for you, then add business cards, brand kits or matching marketing assets. Designs.ai goes further, treating a logo as one output among images, video and slides from the same brief.
Template makers. Namecheap Logo Maker and Placeit start you from a template that you edit, which suits anyone who knows roughly what they want and prefers to tweak rather than prompt.
Website and store platforms. Shopify Logo Maker, Hostinger Logo Maker and Wix Logo Maker come from companies that also host your site or shop. They make most sense if you'll build there anyway, so your logo and site start in one place.
Who each logo maker suits
A to Z.
Brandmark

Namecheap Logo Maker
Best for: Domain buyers who'd rather browse logo templates and tweak one in a simple editor than prompt an AI from scratch.
Placeit
Best for: Small businesses choosing a ready logo template for their industry and customising it, with an AI generator as a second route.
Shopify Logo Maker
Best for: Sellers planning to open an online store on the same platform, who want a high resolution logo from its AI logo maker first.

My advice for a logo you'll keep for years
Keep it simple. A logo that works at the size of a social media profile picture and in one colour will work almost anywhere. AI generators are great for getting ideas fast, but don't settle on the first one you like. Generate a handful, sleep on it, and show the two you like most to a couple of customers before you buy any files.
Once you've chosen, store the vector file, the transparent PNG and your brand colours somewhere safe and shared. For a wider view, my guide to the best AI logo generators covers more AI options, and the best AI brand kit generators help when you need more than a logo.
Compare the files, not the previews
- Use your shortest company name, so every tool has the same simple brief.
- Make one design you like in each of two or three tools.
- Download every file each tool lets you keep at the stage you're happy to pay for, or for free.
- Open each file at full size, print it small, and drop it on a dark background.
- Read the commercial use terms for each before you put the logo on anything you sell.
The tool that wins this test is the one to keep, even if its preview wasn't the prettiest.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a logo for free from an AI logo maker?
Most let you design and preview for free, but high resolution, vector and full brand files often need a purchase or plan. Check exactly which files you can download before you choose a design.
What file formats should a logo come in?
Ask for a vector file such as SVG, EPS or PDF, which scales to any size, plus a transparent PNG for websites and social media. A brand kit with colours and fonts is useful too.
Can I use an AI-generated logo commercially?
That depends on each tool's terms. Read what it says about commercial use and ownership of generated logos before you put one on products or signs.
Can I trade mark a logo made with AI?
Rules on registering AI-generated designs vary by country. Check your national intellectual property office for the current guidance.
Should I use my website builder's logo maker?
It's handy if you'll build your site there anyway, because your logo and site start in one place. Just make sure you can download the logo files to use elsewhere too.
