Twitch pays Affiliates and Partners once a month: once your revenue reaches $50 (or $100 for a wire transfer), the payout is started on the 15th of the following month, and the money lands 1 to 5 days later depending on the method. Anything under the minimum rolls over to the next month.
That's the whole schedule in two sentences, but there are catches that cost people a month's wait: a cut-off on the 8th, fees that change by country and a balance that never quite matches the dashboard. Everything here comes from Twitch's Payout Details, Payout Balance and Affiliate Program help pages, read on 2 November 2026, and the figures are as of November 2026.
Only Affiliates and Partners get payouts. If you're not there yet, the Twitch Affiliate requirements come first, and you'll also need onboarding finished and two-factor authentication switched on.
When Twitch pays you, month by month
Twitch calls its schedule Net15: you're paid 15 days after the end of the month in which the money was earned. Here's how one month's revenue moves:
- You earn revenue during the month, say April.
- Your payout balance updates once a month, on or around the 12th, and shows revenue through the end of the month before.
- Any changes to your payout method or payment details need to be in before the 8th to count for that month's payout.
- Twitch starts the payout on 15 May.
- The money arrives 1 to 5 days later. Twitch says processing typically takes around 3 to 5 business days, and a status of payment sent can mean processing has only just begun.
Prime subs are slower. Twitch says they can take up to 45 days after the end of the month to process, so they're paid in the next cycle. Subs, Bits and ads normally show in your analytics within 24 hours.
The $50 and $100 minimums
The minimum is $50 if you're paid by ACH or direct deposit, eCheck or local bank, PayPal or check. Wire transfer stays at $100 because of the fees taken off it.
If you don't reach the minimum, nothing's lost. Twitch's own example: earn $20 in April and $90 in May, and both months are paid together in mid June. If you leave the Affiliate programme with a balance under the minimum, it stays on your account until you rejoin and reach it.
If you'd rather not be paid for a while, set your payout method to Hold Payouts. That pauses payments and keeps your Affiliate status, whereas leaving the programme cancels your active subs.
Payout methods, speed and fees
Twitch's fee table was effective from 14 February 2025, and fees can change, so check the Payout Details page before you choose. These are per payout:
| Method | Speed | Fee for US creators | Fee outside the US |
|---|---|---|---|
| ACH or direct deposit | 3-5 days, US only | $0.25 | Not available |
| Local bank transfer or SEPA | 1-2 days, Eurozone only | Not available | Not listed in the fee table; being paid in EUR avoids the currency fee |
| Local bank payout or eCheck | 1-4 days, outside the US and Eurozone | Not available | $3.75 |
| PayPal | 1-2 days | $0.50 | 2.0% of the transaction up to $20.00, plus $0.25 |
| Paper check | Usually the slowest | $3.00 | $3.00 |
| Wire transfer | 1-3 days | $11.00 | $16.00 |
Then there are the fees for a payment that bounces. An ACH return costs $11.00 in the US and $25.00 outside it, a check stop payment costs $25.00 and a wire return costs $25.00. On top of all of this, if your payout is converted from US dollars to your own currency, there's a currency exchange fee of up to 2.5% of the transaction. Your bank may add its own fee on a wire, too.
Why your payout is smaller than your dashboard
Two different numbers, updated on two different clocks. Your analytics dashboard updates within 24 hours, while your payout balance updates once a month around the 12th, so they won't match on any given day.

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
The payout itself can also come in lower for a handful of reasons Twitch lists:
- Tax withholding, which depends on your tax interview. I've explained how the Twitch tax interview works separately.
- Local subscription pricing, since subs cost different amounts in different countries
- Payout fees from the table above
- Deductions taken before the 50/50 subscription split, such as taxes, processing, bank and currency conversion costs
Negative revenue on a line means subs were cancelled and refunded. And Twitch may ask you to verify your identity before a payout goes out. If you want to know what streams earn in the first place, that's covered in how much Twitch pays.
Changing your payout method without losing a month
This is the rule that catches people out. Any change to your payout method or payment details made after the 8th of the month won't show in that month's payout. Changes also don't take effect until at least seven days after you submit them, and while a new method is being set up you can't be paid. If you're switching, do it early in the month, ideally in the first week.
My verdict
I'd set up PayPal or direct deposit well before the 8th and skip wire transfer unless your balance is large, because the higher minimum and fees eat into a small payout. If you're in the Eurozone, I'd pick SEPA and get paid in EUR to dodge the currency fee. And don't panic if the dashboard and the payout disagree. That's how Twitch's two clocks work.
Frequently asked questions
When does Twitch pay out?
Twitch starts payouts on the 15th of the month after the money was earned, as long as you've reached the minimum. The money then arrives 1 to 5 days later, depending on your payout method.
What's the Twitch payout threshold?
It's $50 for direct deposit, eCheck or local bank, PayPal or check, and $100 for wire transfer, as of November 2026. Under the threshold, your balance rolls into the next month.
Why hasn't my Twitch payout arrived?
Revenue from the current month isn't paid until the 15th of the next month, a balance under the minimum rolls over, and changes made after the 8th miss that month's payout. Processing typically takes around 3 to 5 business days after Twitch sends it.
Does Twitch pay in pounds or euros?
Twitch pays in US dollars because it's a US company. If your payout is converted to your local currency, a fee of up to 2.5% applies, though creators in eligible European countries paid in EUR by SEPA transfer can avoid it.
Can I pause my Twitch payouts?
Yes. Set your payout method to Hold Payouts and Twitch stops sending payments while you keep your Affiliate status. Held payouts still need to reach the minimum when you release them.
