TikTok doesn't publish a pay rate per view or per 1,000 views, so the honest answer to how much TikTok pays starts with whether it pays you at all. As of November 2026 its Creator Rewards Program is open only to creators based in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil, with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
Nigeria, India, Pakistan and the Philippines aren't named on that list. If you're reading from one of those countries, that's the most useful thing on this page, and I'd rather you heard it here than after months of posting. Everything below comes from TikTok's own Creator Academy page on the Creator Rewards Program, which showed "Last updated: Sep 11, 2026" when I read it on 1 November 2026.
Why TikTok's answer starts with a country list
TikTok's page talks about rewards, not rates. It never says what a view is worth. It says who can join, which videos count, which views count, and how the reward is made up. So "how much" really breaks into three questions: are you eligible, do your videos qualify, and do your views count?
If your answer to the first one is no, the other two don't matter for this program. That's why I'd check the country list before you spend a minute on anything else.
The eight countries on TikTok's list
The program is open to creators in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. TikTok adds that you must be based in one of these countries and have an account registered there.
Here's the part almost nobody mentions. The same eight countries show up a second time, in the rules for qualified views. Views have to come from where the program is available. So even a creator in the UK earns rewards only on views from those eight countries; a large audience elsewhere doesn't count towards the reward.
If you're in Nigeria, I've looked at whether TikTok pays creators in Nigeria in more detail. The short version is the same: Nigeria isn't named on the list as of November 2026, and TikTok's page offers no other route into this program. Countries not on a list aren't banned from TikTok; they're simply not named for this program.
Every requirement in one table
| Requirement | What TikTok's page says |
|---|---|
| Where you're based | One of the eight listed countries, with an account registered there |
| Account type | Personal Accounts only. Business Accounts and political or government accounts don't qualify |
| Age | At least 18 |
| Followers | At least 10,000 |
| Recent views | At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days |
| Account standing | Following the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service |
| Video length | Original content over 1 minute long |
| For You views | At least 1,000 views on the For You feed |
| Formats that don't count | Duets, Stitches and Photo Mode videos |
| Paid content | Ads and paid promotions don't qualify |
| Additional Reward | Well-crafted, engaging, specialised content in 1080p or higher |
To join, go to your profile, tap the Menu button, select TikTok Studio and then Creator Rewards Program, and apply. TikTok says you'll hear back within three days.
What TikTok counts as a qualified view
Not every view on your video is a view TikTok rewards. Qualified views exclude fraudulent or paid views, and TikTok counts them like this:
- A watch time of at least five seconds.
- Views with an "I'm not interested" tap aren't included.
- Several views from the same account count as one unique view.
- Search views need a watch time of at least 30 seconds.
- Views must come from one of the eight program countries.
- Ads and paid promotions don't qualify for rewards.
This is why two videos with the same view count can earn very different rewards. If you want the per-1,000 angle in more depth, my page on what TikTok pays per 1,000 views covers it.
How rewards are worked out and reach you
TikTok says your total rewards equal the Standard Reward plus the Additional Reward. The Additional Reward goes to videos that show attention to detail, spark conversation and community, and show expertise in a niche, and the video must be 1080p or higher. TikTok's page doesn't publish how much either part pays.
When you withdraw, the money goes to PayPal, Pix or a bank account. TikTok says withdrawals are typically processed within 72 hours, but banks may hold the money longer and there's no guarantee on that timing. For the monthly rhythm, see when TikTok pays you each month.

Two more details worth knowing. TikTok says rewards may be taxable and you're responsible for your local tax obligations; it can't give personal tax advice. And TikTok doesn't issue invoices for Creator Rewards payouts, though you can download a statement invoice under Profile, Menu, Balance, Monthly Earnings, Transactions.
What can switch your rewards off
Content that can't appear on the For You feed can't earn rewards either. TikTok lists unoriginal content, split screens, slide videos, contact details in your profile, clickbait and disturbing content among the reasons. The hard limits are these:
- 5 video violations in the past 30 days makes the account ineligible.
- 5 total account violations makes you permanently ineligible for the program.
- You can appeal an ineligible video within 80 days, and a disqualified account within 30 days.
- If your account is permanently banned, you forfeit any outstanding rewards.
If your country isn't on the list
Be wary of anyone who tells you a way around it. TikTok's rule is plain: you must be based in a listed country and have an account registered there. I won't suggest a workaround, and I'd steer clear of anyone who does.
The Creator Rewards Program isn't TikTok's only route. Its Monetize topics also list LIVE gifts, Subscription, brand deals and TikTok Shop. Each has its own rules, and I haven't covered their eligibility here, so check each one on TikTok's own pages before you plan around it.
My verdict: I'd check the country list before anything else, and skip any claim that TikTok pays a set amount per 1,000 views, because TikTok publishes no such rate. If you're in one of the eight countries, the thresholds and the qualified-view rules tell you what to aim for. If you're not, don't build your plan around this program until TikTok's list changes.
