Hulu add-ons are extras you add to your plan from the Account page, such as Cinemax, ESPN Select, an Extra Member seat, and the Entertainment and Español channel packs for Live TV. If Hulu bills you, select Manage Add-ons under Your Subscription, select (+) to add one or toggle its (✓) to an (x) to remove it, then select Review Changes, as of October 2026.
The catch is who bills you. If it's Apple, Google, Amazon or another partner, you manage add-ons through them, and the add-ons you're offered may be different. Hulu's own advice for Apple, Google and Amazon customers is that you can cancel there and sign up directly at Hulu.com, so it's worth checking the Payment Information section of your Account page before you start.

How to add or remove an add-on
- Log in to your Account page on a mobile or web browser.
- Go to Your Subscription and select Manage Add-ons; a (✓) marks the ones you already have.
- Select (+) next to an add-on you want, or toggle the (✓) to an (x) to remove one.
- Select Review Changes, then Submit.
The same section's Manage Plan option lets you switch base plans, with your current plan highlighted in green, so you can change the plan and the add-ons in one go. If you're Hulu-billed and the change won't save, contact Hulu Support. If a partner bills you, the steps vary, so start with them.
ESPN on Hulu: Select or Unlimited
ESPN Select puts the ESPN+ library inside the Hulu app. To add it, select Manage Add-ons under Your Subscription, choose ESPN Select under Partner Add-ons, then select Review Changes. You'll find ESPN content in the ESPN collection on Home, the ESPN hub, the Sports hub and the Live Guide.
ESPN Unlimited goes further: all of ESPN Select plus ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPN on ABC, NFL Network, SEC Network+ and ACC Network Extra. That's where you'll find the NFL, NBA and WNBA, Formula 1, the Masters and College GameDay. It isn't a simple add-on for most people; you get it through a Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle, a standalone ESPN Unlimited subscription or a participating TV provider. Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle subscribers can buy it as an add-on from whoever bills the bundle. There's a full ESPN Unlimited price breakdown here too.
Can't see ESPN after subscribing? The usual cause is a mismatch: the email on your ESPN subscription has to match the one on Hulu, so check your MyDisney login details. Without any ESPN subscription you'll only see a sampling of ESPN content, and even with one, not every event is included and some may be blacked out where you live.
Adding an Extra Member to your account
Extra Member lets you add one family member or friend, even if they don't live with you. They must be at least 18, live in the same country or region as you, and not already have an active Hulu, Disney+ or ESPN subscription. It's billed monthly to you as the account holder.
- Go to Hulu.com on a mobile or web browser and log in.
- Select your Profile, then Account.
- In the Extra Member section under Your Subscription, select Invite.
- Review the add-on details and pricing, select Continue, then Submit.
- Confirm with the one-time code sent to the email on the account.
- Enter their email address and select Continue to send the invitation.
They get their own login, profile and watch history at no cost to them, can stream or download on one device at a time, and get the same video and audio quality as you. They can't use any Hulu or ESPN add-ons or change your plan. Extra Member isn't available with Hulu + Live TV or with the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle plans, and if Disney+ bills your bundle, you add them through Disney+.
Removing works two ways. Remove Extra Member drops the add-on at the end of its monthly billing period. Remove on its own takes the person off straight away and leaves the seat empty, and you're charged until you remove the add-on too.

The Live TV channel packs and Cinemax
Entertainment and Español are only for Live TV subscribers, and with both you can use your Hulu login to stream in select networks' own apps or websites. Español isn't available on Hulu + Live TV Español, Disney+ or Live TV Only Español, since those plans already centre on Spanish-language channels. For Cinemax, search for a title, or go to Hubs from the Home screen, then Premium Add-ons, then Cinemax.
My verdict on Hulu add-ons
I'd add Cinemax or ESPN Select month by month rather than moving to a bigger plan, because you can drop either from the same screen. I'd skip ESPN Select if you're on Hulu + Live TV, since Live TV subscribers already get the full ESPN Unlimited experience in the ESPN app. And I'd use Extra Member for a grown-up child or a friend who lives elsewhere, but remember to remove the add-on, not just the person, when you're done.
