GoDaddy email is a business address on your own domain, sold as two products: Professional Email powered by Titan, and Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy. Both are managed from the same Email & Office Dashboard, where you add users, create aliases, set up forwarding and restore deleted accounts.
Here's the catch. On Titan, aliases and forwarding to an outside address are only on the Pro Plus, Premium and Ultra plans, as of October 2026, so the other Titan plans can't do either. Titan Drive sits on the same three plans. If you were planning to send support@ and sales@ into one inbox, or forward everything to Gmail, check your plan before you set anything up.
Titan plans and what each feature needs
| Feature | What you need, as of October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Email aliases | Titan Pro Plus, Premium or Ultra, up to 50 aliases |
| Forwarding to an outside address | Titan Pro Plus, Premium or Ultra |
| Titan Drive for files and attachments | Titan Pro Plus, Premium or Ultra |
| Adding a user | An available user on a plan, or buy one in the dashboard |
| Restoring a deleted user | The same or a higher plan, in the same GoDaddy account |
Titan Drive is worth knowing about if you're on one of those plans. It stores email attachments and uploads from your device, and lets you attach Drive files to emails without downloading them first. You open it from Switch apps in the top left of your inbox.
GoDaddy's own setup series for a new Titan address runs in five steps: create the address, add a recovery email so you can reset a forgotten password, sign in to webmail, set up your phone and computer, and send a first email. For devices, it recommends the Titan apps for iOS and Android.
Two logins, and which one you need
This trips up almost everyone. The Email & Office Dashboard uses your GoDaddy username or customer number and your GoDaddy password. Your email address and its password won't work there. Setting up forwarding is the reverse: it happens inside Titan webmail, signed in with the email address and its own password, where your GoDaddy login won't work. If you're managing a team's email, keep both sets of details to hand.
Adding users to your GoDaddy email
If you already have email accounts, GoDaddy requires you to set them up as users in the dashboard before you can buy new ones. When you add a user, you choose a username before the @, add a first and last name, and then pick This email is for me or This email is NOT for me.
Pick the first and the address is connected to your GoDaddy account and you set the password. Pick the second and GoDaddy sends that person a temporary password so they can sign in and finish setting it up. You can list up to 5 email addresses to receive account notifications, and GoDaddy emails them when the user is ready. If you've just deleted a user to free up a slot, you might wait up to 1 day before you can use that credit.
How aliases work on Titan
An alias is a second address that delivers into an existing inbox. It must use the same domain as the address it belongs to. GoDaddy's example: if you're [email protected] and you want support@, it has to be [email protected], and anything sent there lands in jane@'s inbox.
To create one, open Email Aliases in the dashboard, choose the user, select Add Alias, enter a name and save. You can come back to the same page to edit or delete aliases.
Forwarding Titan mail to another address
- Sign in to Titan webmail with your email address and its password.
- Select Settings in the top right, then Preferences, then Forwarding.
- Under Forward emails to, enter the destination address.
- Choose whether to keep a copy in your Titan inbox, then select Next.
- Enter the confirmation code GoDaddy sends to the destination address and select Start forwarding.
You can change or delete the forward from the same page at any time. I'd keep a copy in Titan, so your business mail still sits on your own domain's server if you ever stop using the other account.
Restoring a deleted user
Deleted a user by mistake? You can bring them back from the Restore Deleted Users page, but only to the same or a higher plan, and only in the same GoDaddy account. Any aliases that user had come back too. If you don't have a spare eligible account, you buy one first and then restore.
You can restore with a temporary password or switch the Password toggle off and set your own. It can take up to a day, and GoDaddy emails the address listed under Send account info to when the user's ready.

Why GoDaddy email stops arriving
GoDaddy's troubleshooting list starts with the boring causes, and they're usually the right ones. Check the account is still listed under Users, because a billing problem or a deleted account means no mail. Then check DNS: your MX records decide where your domain's mail goes, and if they're wrong, you won't receive anything. You'll find them under Users, Manage, then Set Mail Destination, and a dashboard banner offers Help me fix this when mail can't arrive yet.
Two more catch people out. If you set up Outlook or Apple Mail with POP, messages can be removed from the server, so they show in your app but not in webmail; GoDaddy recommends IMAP instead. And a full mailbox stops new mail, so check Email account storage and clear space.
My verdict on GoDaddy email
I'd pick Titan Pro Plus or higher if you want aliases, forwarding or Drive, because the other Titan plans don't include them. I'd add every team member as a full user only when they need their own inbox, and use aliases for shared addresses like info@ and support@. If you're still deciding on a provider, my guide to the best email hosting compares the options, and here's my answer to how many email addresses one business needs.
Email is the plumbing. Helping your team work faster with AI is where I come in. I run AI training and workshops for teams, and help businesses with AI enablement, AI automation and GEO, which is about getting your business seen and cited in AI answers. Most of that work is with SaaS marketing teams, telecom companies and small businesses. Here's how we can work together.
