The LinkedIn company page banner size is 1512 x 256 pixels, and LinkedIn gives that as both the minimum and the recommended size for the cover image. Save it as a PNG or JPEG under 3MB, and pair it with a 400 x 400 logo, since 268 x 268 is the smallest LinkedIn accepts.
Here's what catches people out. The company cover is a much wider, shorter strip than your personal profile banner, so a profile template won't fit it, and the profile version has its own guide on LinkedIn profile banner dimensions. On top of that, LinkedIn may trim the cover to fit the screen, and the lower-right corner is the part most likely to go. These are the specs as of October 2026.
Company Page image sizes at a glance
| Image | Size LinkedIn gives |
|---|---|
| Logo, minimum | 268 x 268 px |
| Logo, recommended | 400 x 400 px |
| Cover image | 1512 x 256 px |
| Life tab main image | 1128 x 376 px |
| Life tab custom modules | 502 x 282 px |
| Company photos, recommended | 900 x 600 px (minimum 264 x 176) |
| Link post image | 1200 x 627 px (1.91:1) |
| File type and size for Page images | PNG or JPEG, max 3MB |
| Career Page video | Up to 10 minutes, MP4 and others, no MOV |
Every Page image follows the same file rule: PNG or JPEG, and no bigger than 3MB. If your designer sends you a 6MB export, it won't upload, so ask for a compressed version up front.
Designing a cover that survives the crop
LinkedIn says the cover image may be trimmed horizontally or vertically so it fits whatever screen it's viewed on. Its advice is to keep key details away from the edges, especially the lower-right corner, use limited text, and put the important content in the centre. That's why I'd never put a phone number or web address in the bottom right of a company cover. It's the first thing to disappear.
Here's the order I'd work in:
- Export the logo at 400 x 400.
- Design the cover at 1512 x 256, with your key message in the middle third.
- Keep the wording short. A strapline works; a paragraph doesn't.
- Save it as a high-resolution JPEG under 3MB.
- Upload it, then preview the Page on mobile and desktop and check the lower-right corner.
Getting the logo right on light and dark backgrounds
Your logo shows up on both light and dark backgrounds. If you upload a transparent logo, LinkedIn puts it on a white background, so a white or pale logo with a transparent background can vanish. Test it on both before you call it done. Stick to the recommended 400 x 400 rather than the 268 x 268 minimum so it stays sharp.
Why your cover looks blurry, and the fix
LinkedIn's advice for the best resolution is to use the recommended dimensions and a high-resolution JPEG rather than a PNG. That surprises people, because PNG is usually the safer choice for graphics, but on a LinkedIn Page the JPEG is the one LinkedIn recommends.
If you pay for a Premium Company Page, you can use a dynamic cover: a single dynamic image or a slideshow of up to five. If a dynamic cover looks blurry or pixelated, LinkedIn suggests choosing a larger file, or compressing it with a tool such as Trimage on Windows or ImageOptim on Mac.
Image size for link posts from your Page
When your Page shares a link, the image works best at a 1.91:1 ratio, which is 1200 x 627 pixels. Two details matter here:
- The image has to be over 200 pixels wide. Anything narrower shows as a small thumbnail on the left of the post.
- Other ratios still appear full size, but with subtle white padding around them.
- Images on mobile aren't cropped, so what you upload is what mobile users see.
If your link previews keep coming out as tiny thumbnails, the width is the first thing I'd check.
Career Pages: Life tab images and video specs
Career Pages add extra tabs to a company Page. Companies, universities, colleges and high schools get a Life tab, search and staffing companies get a What We Do tab instead, and both come with a Jobs tab. The Life tab has its own image sizes: 1128 x 376 for the main image, 502 x 282 for custom modules, and 900 x 600 recommended for company photos.
Don't settle for the 264 x 176 minimum on company photos. LinkedIn warns that following the minimum makes the photo look small when someone clicks to enlarge it. You can also use a Vimeo or YouTube link for the Life tab main image or video, and the static image then comes from that video's thumbnail, so pick a good thumbnail before you paste the link.

Video on Career Pages has to fit these limits:
- File size from 75 KB up to 5 GB.
- Length from 3 seconds to 10 minutes.
- Resolution from 256 x 144 up to 4096 x 2304.
- Aspect ratio from 1:2.4 to 2.4:1.
- Frame rate from 10 to 60 FPS, and bit rate from 192 KBPS to 30 MBPS.
- Supported formats include MP4, MPEG-4, MKV, WebM, MP3, AAC, FLV, ASF, WMV2 and WMV3, with H264/AVC, VP8, VP9 and Vorbis.
AVI, QuickTime and MOV are no longer supported. If your video is a MOV file, convert it to MP4 before you upload it.
My verdict on company Page images
I'd design the cover at exactly 1512 x 256, keep everything that matters in the centre, export a JPEG under 3MB and check it on a phone before anyone else sees it. Get the logo to 400 x 400 and test it on a dark background. Skip the Life tab images unless you've got Career Pages and you're hiring, because they won't show anywhere else. If you're still setting up, start with creating your LinkedIn company Page and come back to the images once the Page is live.
A sharp company Page helps, but what gets a business found now is being seen and cited, on LinkedIn and in AI answers. I run AI training and workshops for teams, and help businesses with AI enablement, AI automation and GEO, which is about getting your business seen and cited in AI answers. Most of that work is with SaaS marketing teams, telecom companies and small businesses. Here's how we can work together.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a LinkedIn company page banner?
The cover image is 1512 x 256 pixels, which LinkedIn gives as both the minimum and the recommended size, as of October 2026. It has to be a PNG or JPEG under 3MB.
What size should a LinkedIn company page logo be?
LinkedIn recommends 400 x 400 pixels, with 268 x 268 as the minimum. Test it on light and dark backgrounds, because a transparent logo is shown on white.
Why does my LinkedIn company banner get cut off?
The cover may be trimmed to fit the screen. Keep key details away from the edges, especially the lower-right corner, and put important content in the centre.
Is the company page banner the same size as a profile banner?
No. The company cover is 1512 x 256, a wider and shorter strip than the profile banner, so a profile template won't fit.
Can I upload a MOV video to my LinkedIn Career Page?
No. AVI, QuickTime and MOV are no longer supported. Convert the file to MP4 first, and keep it between 3 seconds and 10 minutes.
