Does YouTube TV Have NFL Network? Yes, on More Plans Than You'd Think

Yes. As of October 2026, NFL Network is included in the main YouTube TV plan, the Sports + News plan and the News + Entertainment plan, and YouTube says the Sports plan covers it too, so you don't need NFL Sunday Ticket or any add-on to watch it. NFL RedZone is a different channel: on YouTube TV it comes with the NFL RedZone with Sports Plus add-on, or bundled with Sunday Ticket.

People often assume NFL Network needs a sports package. On YouTube TV it doesn't, and it even turns up in a plan with no ESPN at all. Here's where it sits, what it shows you, and when you'd need something extra.

Which YouTube TV plans include NFL Network

Plan (as of October 2026)NFL NetworkAlso in the lineup
Main YouTube TV plan, 100+ channels, $82.99 a monthYesABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN
Sports + News, 50+ channels, $71.99 a monthYesABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN
Sports Plan, 30+ channels, $64.99 a monthYes, per YouTube's football help pageThe main plan's sports channels plus your locals
News + EntertainmentYesABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, no ESPN

That last row is the surprise. YouTube's lineup for News + Entertainment has NFL Network and the four big broadcast networks, but none of the ESPN channels. So a household that mostly watches news and entertainment still gets NFL Network, though it would miss ESPN's games.

YouTube's help page on watching football also says the main plan or the Sports plan gives you live local and national broadcasts on CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and NFL Network. Your local channels depend on your ZIP code, which you can check on YouTube's welcome page.

What NFL Network gets you on YouTube TV

NFL Network is part of how YouTube TV covers games that aren't on your local Sunday stations. YouTube's Sunday Ticket help page says that with any YouTube TV plan you can watch preseason games carried nationally on NFL Network, as well as preseason games on local channels such as CBS, FOX and NBC. In the regular season, national games and your local CBS and FOX games come through your plan too.

Because it's a live channel in your plan, it works like the rest of YouTube TV: you can record it to your unlimited DVR, and watch on the 3 streams and 6 household accounts every plan includes.

The preseason blackout to know about

This one catches fans out in preseason. YouTube says that if a preseason game in your local area is airing on a local channel and on NFL Network, it's subject to an embargo and won't be shown on NFL Network in your area. That applies even if the local channel isn't part of your YouTube TV plan where you live.

The good news is that YouTube says most preseason games are re-aired on NFL Network later without those restrictions, so if you miss one live, set a recording for the replay.

NFL Network, RedZone and Sunday Ticket compared

What you getHow you get it on YouTube TV
NFL NetworkA live channel with national NFL games and coverageIncluded in the main, Sports + News and News + Entertainment plans
NFL RedZoneA channel from NFL Network showing every touchdown from every Sunday afternoon game in the regular seasonNFL RedZone with Sports Plus add-on, or bundled with Sunday Ticket
NFL Sunday TicketOut-of-market Sunday afternoon games on CBS and FOXPaid add-on that needs an active YouTube TV plan

For RedZone, the NFL RedZone with Sports Plus add-on costs $10.99 a month as of October 2026, according to YouTube. It's a package of 17 channels, including Tennis Channel, beIN SPORTS and FanDuel TV, and YouTube says those networks aren't sold individually. The full rundown is in does YouTube TV have RedZone.

Sunday Ticket is the one to add if you follow a team outside your area, because NFL Network's national games and your local stations won't show those Sunday afternoon matchups. Prices and discounts are in the NFL Sunday Ticket price guide.

As of October 2026, YouTube's new-user offers run until November 16, 2026: $49.99 a month for the first 5 months of Sports + News, or $59.99 a month for the first 2 months of the main plan. YouTube says you can't build a plan from individual channels, so NFL Network comes as part of one of these plans rather than on its own. You can compare every plan's channels in the YouTube TV channel list.

Watching away from home

YouTube TV uses your device's location to decide which local channels and games you see, so you need to turn on location permissions for it. If you travel within the US, the games available to you can change with where you are. YouTube TV doesn't work while you're travelling internationally, and you need to sign in from home at least once every 3 months to keep your account active.

My verdict

If NFL Network is all you're after, you don't need the biggest plan. The Sports Plan, at $64.99 a month as of October 2026, is the lowest-priced plan YouTube names for NFL Network, and Sports + News adds the news channels for a little more. Pick News + Entertainment only if you're happy to go without ESPN. Leave RedZone and Sunday Ticket until you know you want them: NFL Network already covers the national games, and both extras cost more on top of your plan.

Do I need NFL Sunday Ticket to watch NFL Network?

No. NFL Network is part of your YouTube TV plan. Sunday Ticket adds out-of-market Sunday afternoon games on CBS and FOX.
