Shopify dropshipping apps connect your store to suppliers who hold the stock and ship each order for you. Some are supplier directories, some automate ordering from overseas stores, and a few do both. Pick by where the supplier ships from, because that decides delivery times, customs and how happy your buyers are. Ten options follow in no particular order.
Dropshipping looks easy on paper: list a product, take the payment, let the supplier post it. The app you plug in decides most of what happens after that, from how long the parcel takes to whether what you charge on your product page still makes you money.
The ten apps below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order. I read each one's own website this week, as of Oct 2026. If you're still at the planning stage, my guide to launching a dropshipping store covers the groundwork before you install anything.
Shopify dropshipping apps side by side
I checked the free plan column on each tool's own website, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the page names a free plan, free use or free to start. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the page I read named neither, so check the tool's own site before you sign up.

The cross-border tax point new sellers miss
Shopify's own help page on dropshipping says that if you sell to customers in other countries, you must be aware of the tax and customs obligations that apply to cross-border sales (Shopify Help Center, read 28 Oct 2026).
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
That's why where your supplier ships from matters as much as the product. A supplier stocked in the same country as your buyers and one shipping from overseas aren't the same buy, even when the product photos look identical. Check who pays duties and how that shows at checkout before you go live, or your first unhappy customer will tell you.
Comparing supplier prices by hand takes time, and AI price comparison tools can do part of that for you.
Supplier directory or order tool?
Some of these apps are supplier directories, some automate orders from suppliers you find elsewhere, and some do both. Work out which gap you're filling. If you've already got a supplier, you need the order side. If you haven't, start with a directory and test a handful of products before you import hundreds.
Another way to add products without holding stock is Shopify's Collective feature.
Four checks before you list a dropshipped product
- Order a sample to your own address so you see the packaging and delivery time a buyer gets.
- Work out your margin after the app, shipping, payment fees and returns, not just what the supplier charges.
- Write your own product description rather than copying the supplier's text.
- Put your real delivery window on the product page and in your shipping policy.

My plain advice on choosing a dropshipping app
Start with your buyers, not the app. Decide where most of them live, then pick a supplier who can reach them in a delivery time you'd accept yourself. Test on a free plan or trial, order samples, and only then pay for automation. Slow stock that takes weeks to arrive can lose you more in refunds than it saves.
Once orders start coming in, my practical dropshipping tips will help you keep customers happy and coming back.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best dropshipping app for Shopify?
It depends on where your buyers are and what you sell. Apps with US and EU suppliers suit western buyers, AliExpress tools suit sourcing straight from AliExpress, and fashion stores have specialist suppliers.
Is there a free dropshipping app for Shopify?
Yes. Several apps on this list name a free plan or say they're free to start on their own site, as of Oct 2026, so check the free plan column first.
Do I need to think about tax when I dropship abroad?
Yes. Shopify's help page says you must be aware of the tax and customs obligations that apply to cross-border sales, so check the rules for each country you sell to.
What's the difference between a dropshipping supplier and a dropshipping app?
A supplier holds and ships the stock. An app connects your store to suppliers and automates importing products and placing orders. Some tools here do both.
Can I dropship clothing on Shopify?
Yes. At least one app on this list is a wholesale clothing supplier set up for fashion dropshipping.
