Instagram pays nothing directly for 1 million views in Pakistan. Meta has no per-view rate, Pakistan isn't on the Gifts country list, and bonuses are an invite-only test, so a million-view reel earns through what it leads to: brand enquiries, new followers and Facebook Stars, which Meta does list for Pakistan.
A million views is a big moment, and I don't want to take the shine off it. I want you to cash it in well. It's easy to let a viral reel fade without doing the handful of things that turn attention into income. This page is about those things.
Every rule and figure on this page comes from Meta's own Help Center pages, read as of October 2026.
Why Instagram's million views don't come with a payment
Instagram's payout page lists four tools it pays out from: badges, bonuses, Gifts and Subscriptions. None pays per view. Gifts are the only tool that pays straight from a reel, through Stars that viewers send, and they're limited to the countries on Meta's list. Pakistan isn't on it.
Bonuses are the nearest thing to being paid for performance. Instagram describes them as a test with no open sign-up: you need an invitation, and if you're invited, you activate the bonus in the professional dashboard under Settings, then Bonuses.
What a million views can still earn you
| Route | Open in Pakistan? | What triggers the income |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram Gifts | No, not on the list | Stars sent on your reels |
| Instagram bonuses | Invite-only | The terms of each bonus |
| Facebook Stars | Yes, Pakistan is listed | Stars fans send on your Facebook content |
| Facebook Content Monetization | No, not on the list | Ads on public reels |
| Brand partnerships | Yes | What you agree with the brand |
So the money from a viral reel in Pakistan comes from two places: Facebook Stars, if you've built a Facebook presence that qualifies, and brands. Stars need 500 followers on Facebook for at least 30 consecutive days, so the earlier you start posting there, the sooner it counts.
A 7-step plan for the week after a reel hits a million
- Screenshot the reel's insights while the numbers are fresh: reach, plays, shares, saves and follows.
- Update your bio so new visitors know what you do and how a business can contact you.
- Reply to the best comments. People who comment on a viral reel are the ones most likely to follow.
- Post a follow-up reel on the same topic within a few days, while new viewers are still looking.
- Share the reel to Facebook so it can earn Facebook Stars once your profile qualifies.
- Write a short pitch to five local brands that fit the topic, with the insights screenshots attached.
- Set up branded content tools so you can use the paid partnership label as soon as a deal lands.
None of these steps needs a special tool. They need you to act in the first week, which is when the attention is highest.
How Facebook Stars work for a Pakistani creator
Stars are the Meta money that a Pakistani account can earn from a viral moment, so it's worth knowing how they behave. Once you're set up, you can turn Stars on or off for each reel or post through its Options menu. Fans can also buy Stars outside your videos in the Stars Store, which Meta says offers lower fees. And the Creator Perks tool in your professional dashboard shows the actions you can take towards monetization eligibility and tracks your progress, which is handy when you're still building towards the 30-day follower rule.
When a brand gets in touch after your reel, reply quickly, ask what they want to achieve, and send your insights screenshots before you talk about a fee. Brands pay more for an audience they understand.
Why buying views to reach a million is a trap
Instagram's Partner Monetization Policies say creators can only earn from content consumed by their natural, authentic audience, and that accounts can lose the ability to monetize if their audience is largely fake likes, follows and views. Coordinated sharing, often for payment, counts as artificial boosting.
In other words, a bought million is worse than a real hundred thousand. Brands check comments, and Meta's tools check behaviour.
Creators weighing up countries can set this beside what a million Reel views can bring in India.

Getting paid by Meta from Pakistan
When Facebook Stars or any other Meta tool pays you, it goes to your payout account. Outside the US, Meta pays once your balance reaches $25 for most payout methods, or $100 for wire transfer, around the 21st of the month for the previous month's earnings. You'll need your legal name as it appears on your tax ID, your bank's name and country, its SWIFT code and your account number or IBAN.

My verdict
A million views in Pakistan won't put money in your account on its own, but it can change your next six months if you act in the first week. Pitch brands, build your Facebook page for Stars, and keep every view real. For the next steps up the ladder, here's what 200,000 views earns in Pakistan and what a million followers earns there.

Nothing directly. Instagram has no per-view rate, Pakistan isn't on the Gifts list and bonuses are invite-only.
Can I apply for Instagram bonuses from Pakistan?
No. Instagram describes bonuses as a test that's open by invitation, and invited creators activate them in the professional dashboard.
Does Facebook pay Pakistani creators for viral reels?
Not through Facebook Content Monetization, because Pakistan isn't on its country list. Pakistan is listed for Facebook Stars, which fans send on your content.
How many followers do I need for Facebook Stars?
500 followers for at least 30 consecutive days, and you must be 18 or older and live in an eligible country.

Instagram doesn't say. Its bonus page says creators must meet certain requirements to be eligible for an invitation, and bonuses are still a test.
Can I turn Facebook Stars off on some posts?
Yes. Meta says creators can enable or disable Stars at any time on eligible content through the Options menu on the reel or post.
