YouTube TV's main plan has 100+ channels, including ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC locals, ESPN, TNT, USA, CNN, FOX News, HGTV, AMC, Bravo, Disney Channel and Hallmark. Your exact list depends on your ZIP code, and the cheaper genre plans carry only part of it.
YouTube TV doesn't print one fixed channel list, because local stations change from one area to the next. What it does publish is a national lineup on its sign-up page, plus a ZIP code checker. I've gone through that lineup network by network and grouped it so you can see what you'd get before you sign up.
One thing to know first: the sign-up page calls its list a sample of the channels on offer. So a network that's missing below isn't proof it's missing in your area. Always run your own ZIP code check before you pay.
YouTube TV channels on the main plan, by category
This is the national lineup YouTube TV shows for its main plan (the one it used to call the Base Plan), grouped by type:

The lineup also includes smaller networks such as Cozi TV, Dabl, Charge!, Comet TV and StartTV, but the table above is the part most people are checking for.
Big networks that aren't in the national lineup
This is the part nobody tells you. A few names people search for every week don't appear anywhere in the national lineup on the YouTube TV sign-up page:
- A&E, Lifetime and History. None of the three appears in the main plan, the genre plans or the add-on list.
- MLB Network and NHL Network. Neither appears, although NBA TV and NFL Network both do.
- Regional sports networks such as NESN. They don't appear in the national list, so check your ZIP code if your local team's games matter to you.
If one of those is a must-have, test your ZIP code first, then decide. Don't assume a free trial will reveal it, because you'd be signing up to find out.
What the cheaper YouTube TV plans keep and drop
YouTube TV now sells genre plans alongside the main plan. Its help centre says you can't build your own plan by picking single channels, so the plan you choose decides the list. Here's how the two plans YouTube TV promotes on its sign-up page compare:

Both intro offers end on 16 November 2026, according to the sign-up page. One quirk worth knowing: the News + Entertainment lineup still includes NFL Network, even though it drops ESPN.
If you switch to a plan that loses some channels, YouTube TV's help centre says recordings from those channels leave your Library, but you get them back if you switch back to a plan with that genre within 21 days. I've covered the switching rules in more depth in my guide to every YouTube TV plan.

How to see the YouTube TV channels in your ZIP code
- Go to tv.youtube.com/welcome in any browser. You don't need to sign in.
- Scroll to the channel section and enter your home ZIP code in the channel lookup box.
- Select Submit to see your area's lineup, including your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC stations.
- Switch between the plan tabs to compare what each plan carries where you live.
Your home ZIP matters beyond sign-up. YouTube TV's help centre says what you can watch and record is based on your home area, and you need to use the service in that area at least once every 3 months. I explain how that works for locals in does YouTube TV have local channels.
My verdict
For most households the main plan's lineup covers what you'd expect from cable: the four big locals, the ESPN family, TNT, USA, the major news networks and the popular entertainment channels. It's the gaps that catch people out. If A&E, Lifetime, History, MLB Network or a regional sports network matters to you, check your ZIP code before you start a trial, and look at whether a cheaper genre plan gives you everything you watch.
