As of October 2026, NFL Sunday Ticket costs new users $240 for the season, or 8 payments of $30. Returning users pay $378 as a YouTube TV add-on or $480 as a standalone YouTube channel.
YouTube bills itself as the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket, and the price depends on two things: whether you've had it before, and whether you buy it as an add-on to YouTube TV or on its own through YouTube Primetime Channels. Discounted prices exist for students, YouTube Premium members and eligible service workers. All the figures below come from YouTube's own deals page and help center.
NFL Sunday Ticket prices for the season
| How you buy it | New users | Returning users |
|---|---|---|
| Add-on to a YouTube TV plan | $240, or 8 payments of $30 | $378, or 8 payments of $47.25 |
| Standalone on YouTube (Primetime Channels) | $240, or 8 payments of $30 | $480, or 8 payments of $60 |
The YouTube TV add-on needs an active YouTube TV plan on top, and YouTube TV itself is $82.99 a month. The standalone version doesn't need YouTube TV, which is why it costs more for returning users. YouTube's footnotes say availability varies and that the first instalment is charged at purchase.
Discounted Sunday Ticket prices
| Offer | Price | Key condition |
|---|---|---|
| Student Plan | $119 | Student verification, Primetime Channel only, limited time |
| YouTube Premium members | $204 | Eligible Premium members, until November 2, 2026 |
| Heroes Service Plan | $198 | Military and veterans, first responders, medical community and teachers via id.me |
| NFL RedZone add-on | $42 extra ($10 extra on the Student Plan) | Bundled at checkout |
The Heroes plan is available until January 10, 2027 and auto renews. The Student Plan is bought as a Primetime Channel, but once you've paid you can watch on either YouTube or YouTube TV.
Add-on or standalone: what you can watch
The two versions don't cover the same games. YouTube's help center says YouTube TV with the Sunday Ticket add-on lets you watch most preseason games, regular season games including out of market, local and national broadcasts, and postseason games, because YouTube TV carries the local and national channels. The standalone Primetime Channel covers regular season Sunday afternoon out of market games, and you'd add channels such as Paramount+, Fox One or Peacock separately for local and national games.
Season pass or Month-to-Month
YouTube sells two kinds of plan. A Season Pass covers the first regular season Sunday game in September through the last regular season Sunday game in January. Month-to-Month lets you pay one month at a time: you're charged on the same date each month and keep access until your next billing date if you cancel.
- Month-to-Month is only supported on YouTube Billing and isn't available in US territories.
- You can't switch a Season Pass to Month-to-Month.
- If you move from Month-to-Month to a Season Pass, what you've already paid isn't applied to the season price.
- YouTube doesn't sell single team plans or single games.
The deals page I checked lists Season Pass prices; it doesn't show a Month-to-Month figure, so check the sign up screen if that's the option you want.
The instalment catch
Paying in instalments sounds flexible, but YouTube's purchase options page is blunt about it. Your first payment is taken at purchase, you can't cancel for the season you bought, and you'll be charged every remaining payment automatically. Most viewers see up to 8 monthly payments; viewers in Colorado, Maine, Utah and Wisconsin only see 4. Instalments are offered when you sign up from a computer or a mobile web browser, and aren't available in US territories.
Refunds and renewals
This is the rule to know before you buy. YouTube says it doesn't offer cancellations or refunds on Season Passes. You can turn off automatic renewal for future seasons from your paid memberships page if you bought the standalone channel, or your YouTube TV membership settings if you bought the add-on. Month-to-Month can be cancelled any time, but there are no refunds for the month you're in.
How to get the lowest Sunday Ticket price
- Check whether you count as a new user: first timers get the lowest standard price, $240.
- If you're a student, the $119 Student Plan beats every other price YouTube lists.
- Teachers, medical workers, first responders and military can verify through id.me for $198.
- If you already pay for YouTube Premium, the $204 member price runs until November 2, 2026.
- Returning users who already have YouTube TV pay less with the add-on ($378) than the standalone channel ($480).
If YouTube TV is part of your plan, the YouTube TV cost guide covers the base plan and add-ons, and this walkthrough on watching sports on YouTube TV explains where Sunday games sit in the app.
My verdict
For a first season, $240 is the honest entry price and the one most fans should take. The jump for returning users is steep, especially on the standalone channel at $480, so check every discount you might qualify for before you renew: the student, Heroes and Premium member prices can cut the bill sharply. And don't pick instalments casually. Once the first payment goes through, you've committed to the whole season.
