The short version: K5 Learning, Math-Drills, Super Teacher Worksheets, Education.com, Twinkl and Khan Academy are where to get free worksheets in 2026. K5 Learning and Math-Drills are the easiest because most of their worksheets download as PDFs with no login at all.
Teachers and parents search for free worksheets for the same reason: they need something useful in front of a child in the next ten minutes. The best sites let you find the right level, print and go. Others hide the good sheets behind sign-ups and trials, which is fine if you know it before you start clicking.
Six places to find worksheets
In no particular order:
- K5 Learning: best for maths, reading and early years worksheets with no login needed.
- Math-Drills: best for a huge bank of maths practice sheets with answers.
- Super Teacher Worksheets: best for grammar, reading and maths activities by topic.
- Education.com: best for interactive worksheets children complete on screen.
- Twinkl: best for teacher-made resources, with a free resources section.
- Khan Academy: best for free online practice teachers can assign and track.

K5 Learning and Math-Drills in more detail
K5 Learning's free worksheets cover maths for grades 1 to 6, from counting and basic numeracy up to fractions and decimals, plus reading comprehension, vocabulary for grades 1 to 5, and preschool and kindergarten sheets for letters, numbers, shapes and colours. Its FAQ says most of its worksheets are free to use with no login required, and that they're PDF documents. Becoming a member adds more worksheets and more options for how you print them.
Math-Drills says it includes over 70,000 free maths worksheets across number sense, arithmetic, pre-algebra, geometry, measurement and more. It launched in 2005 with around 400 worksheets and has added tens of thousands since. It also says most of its users are classroom teachers or parents, using the sheets to check mastery of basic facts, give extra practice and save planning time.
Super Teacher Worksheets describes itself as thousands of printable activities, with collections on grammar, place value, reading and more. Education.com leans into interactive worksheets, such as timed one-minute maths drills that children complete on screen. Khan Academy lets teachers sign up free to assign practice and track progress, which suits homework better than printing.
Twinkl's site groups its resources by subject and need, from English language arts and English language learners to special education, and it has a free resources section that's worth bookmarking. It's a good place to look when you need something for a specific group rather than a general practice sheet. Just be aware of which items sit in the free section and which need an account, so you don't plan a lesson around a sheet you can't download later. When you find a free one that works, save it straight away.
Free, member and trial: know which you're on
The catch with worksheet sites is the mix of free and member content. K5 Learning is clear that most worksheets are free, but some extras and print options need membership. Twinkl's site offers a free resources section and, when I checked, a limited free trial of downloads, so a sheet you print during a trial might not be free next month. Super Teacher Worksheets mixes free sheets with member-only ones too.
None of that is a problem if you plan for it. Save the PDFs you rely on as you find them, keep them in folders by topic and level, and you'll have your own library that doesn't depend on any site's sign-up rules. That's especially useful for parents building a holiday practice pack.
Building a worksheet routine
- Start with the skill, not the site: what does the child need to practise?
- Pick the level from the grade or age the site lists.
- Download the PDF and the answer sheet if there is one.
- Print a single copy first and check it's the right difficulty.
- Keep sessions short and mix in a game or a story.
- File finished sheets by topic so you can see progress over time.
Classrooms, homeschool and holiday practice

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
A tip worth keeping: a worksheet works best when it's short and pitched slightly below the edge of what a child can do. Confidence first, challenge second. A page they finish with a smile beats three pages they abandon halfway through, so print less than you think you need.
My advice: K5 Learning and Math-Drills first, because they're free with no login. Save what works, and you'll never be hunting for a sheet ten minutes before a lesson again.
