Grailed takes a 9% commission on sales of 120 dollars or more, and since May 20, 2026 a reduced 6% (minimum 1.99 dollars) on sales under 120 dollars. A separate payment processing fee comes on top, and buyers pay no fees at all.
Grailed's fees used to be one flat rate, which made the maths easy. The new lower tier for cheaper items changes how you should price, especially around that 120 dollar line. Here's the current structure from Grailed's help centre and what it means for what lands in your account.
Grailed fees at a glance
| Sale price | Grailed seller commission |
|---|---|
| 120 dollars and above | 9% |
| Under 120 dollars (sales on or after May 20, 2026) | 6%, minimum 1.99 dollars |
| Buyers | Free |
| Payment processing | A separate fee, charged in addition |
Grailed says the seller fee applies to all domestic and international transactions, and that promotional commission rates may apply to some sales under separate terms.
Worked examples
These are my sums from Grailed's published commission rates, before the separate processing fee. Sell a jacket for 200 dollars and the 9% commission is 18 dollars. Sell a T-shirt for 100 dollars and the 6% commission is 6 dollars. Sell something tiny where 6% works out under 1.99 dollars and the minimum of 1.99 dollars applies instead.
The 120 dollar line
The reduced tier creates a pricing decision. Because the rate jumps from 6% to 9% at 120 dollars, an item priced just above 120 dollars can leave you with less than one priced just below. If you're listing something around that point, run the numbers both ways. A small price cut can save you more in commission than it costs.
The catch: shipping can count as sale price
This is the detail most sellers miss. Grailed calculates commission on the sale price, which it defines as the listing price plus any shipping charged to the buyer, unless you use a Grailed Label. With a Grailed Label, commission is based on the listing price only. So if you charge buyers for your own shipping, you're paying commission on the postage too, and shipping can even push a sale over the 120 dollar line into the 9% tier.
When you get paid
- You have 7 calendar days from purchase confirmation to add tracking and ship, or the sale is cancelled and the buyer refunded.
- Once tracking shows delivered, Grailed releases funds to your bank within 3 calendar days, barring disputes or investigations.
- In the US, allow another 2-3 business days for your bank to process it.
- Outside the US, allow up to an additional 10 business days.
Grailed sends reminders on your Messages and Sold pages to upload tracking. The faster you ship, the faster you could be paid. If a payout seems late, Grailed says to contact it if you're in the US and more than 3 calendar days have passed since tracking showed delivered without a payment or a notice about a delay.
How to keep more of each sale
- Use a Grailed Label so commission is on the listing price only.
- Price items near 120 dollars with the tier jump in mind.
- Ship quickly to start the payout clock sooner.
- Keep listings accurate to avoid disputes that hold up funds.
Other costs to factor in
The commission isn't the only cost. Grailed charges a separate payment processing fee on top, explained on its own help page, so budget for that as well when you work out your take-home. If you sell internationally, payouts outside the US take longer to arrive, up to an extra 10 business days, which matters if you're reselling for cash flow.
A simple habit: before you list, write down the price, the commission rate that applies, whether you'll use a Grailed Label, and the shipping cost. That one line tells you what you'll keep, and stops the 120 dollar tier or your own shipping charge from catching you out.
Grailed fee FAQ for new sellers
New sellers often ask whether listing is free. Grailed's help centre describes fees on the sale, not on listing, and says buyers pay nothing. You pay when something sells: the commission plus processing. That makes it low-risk to list a few pieces and see what moves.
Grailed vs other resale apps
Every resale app charges differently, and the cheapest depends on what you sell and at what price. Grailed's new tier makes it more competitive for lower-priced menswear than it used to be. Compare with the apps you'd also list on before you decide where each item goes.

My verdict
Grailed is now cheaper for items under 120 dollars and unchanged at 9% above. Watch the shipping rule and the tier line, and you'll keep noticeably more. For comparisons, see how much Poshmark takes, how much Depop takes and is Grailed legit.
