Zoho Social Alternatives (2026): 10 Tools Compared

A solid Zoho Social alternative should cover the networks you post to, let you schedule and approve content, and show results you can understand. Check inbox features, team access and export options. This page lists ten options in no particular order, then covers how to choose and how to move.

Zoho Social is the social media tool inside the Zoho family, and it suits people who already run their business on Zoho apps. If you're not tied to that ecosystem, or you simply want a different layout or different networks, it makes sense to look around before you settle.

Here are ten Zoho Social alternatives in no particular order, sorted alphabetically. A few are household names and most are smaller. Each description comes from the tool's own website, so double-check the details there. For the bigger picture, my guide to choosing a social media management tool covers the basics.

In the free plan column, Yes means the tool's own site describes a plan you can use with no time limit. Trial only means a free trial but no ongoing free plan. No means the site states neither. Details change, so check before you start.

Questions to ask before leaving a suite-based social tool

A tool that lives inside a wider suite often feels convenient because everything connects. Moving out means you'll want to know what you'd lose and what you'd gain.

  • Connections. Which of your other apps, such as your contacts list or helpdesk, did the old setup link to?
  • Networks. Does the new tool cover every account you post to, including video and short-form channels?
  • Approvals. Can colleagues or clients review a post before it goes out?
  • Inbox. Can you answer comments and messages without leaving the tool?
  • Reports. Can you export results in a form your boss or client will read?
  • Seats. Is it clear how team members and client accounts are handled?

How to move your social calendar out of Zoho Social

Treat this as a short project with a start and an end. A tidy switch avoids gaps in your posting.

  1. Note every account you connect and who has access to each.
  2. Export or copy your scheduled posts, drafts and saved hashtags.
  3. Download any reports you'll want to compare with later.
  4. Connect your accounts in the new tool and rebuild your posting times.
  5. Re-enter queued posts for the next week and check how they preview.
  6. Disconnect the old tool only once the new one has published cleanly.

Choosing social media software by team size

  • Solo owners usually want a simple queue and a calendar, and can skip heavy reporting.
  • Small teams tend to need approvals, roles and a shared inbox.
  • Agencies look for client workspaces, white-label reports and separate logins.
  • B2B firms often care most about LinkedIn and sharing posts through staff accounts.
  • Fast-growing shops may want design and writing help built in.

Social media management mistakes to avoid when switching

  • Don't cancel the old tool before your accounts are reconnected and tested.
  • Don't assume every feature has the same name in the new tool, so check what each one does.
  • Don't forget to tell colleagues which login is the new one.
  • Do keep a copy of your content calendar outside any single tool.
  • Do check each network's current rules for third-party publishing, which change from time to time.

Why a less familiar social media tool can be a fine fit

Smaller names often concentrate on a few jobs and respond quickly when you've a question. You may find a lighter screen and a team that adjusts the product in response to what users ask for.

Check when the tool was last updated, read its help pages and make sure you can export your content whenever you want. If a point isn't clear on the site, ask before you commit. My overview of AI in social media management explains what the newer assistants can and can't do.

Getting your team comfortable with a new social media tool

A good tool only helps if people use it. Show colleagues the two or three things they'll do every week, such as adding a post, approving one and answering a message, and leave the rest until they ask.

  • Agree who writes, who approves and who publishes.
  • Share a short note on naming, tags and posting times.
  • Hold a quick catch-up after the first fortnight to fix anything that's awkward.
  • Keep login details in a shared password manager rather than in chat.

Do you make a social media management tool? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.

Putting a shortlist through a one-week trial

Pick two tools and set up the same week of posts in each. Connect one account, schedule five posts, reply to a comment and pull one report. Notice which one you reach for without thinking, and keep that one.

Frequently asked questions

What is a social media management tool?

It's software that lets you plan, schedule and publish posts to several networks, and often handles replies and reports too, so you aren't logging into each network separately.

Why would someone look for a Zoho Social alternative?

People have all sorts of reasons: wanting other networks, a different layout, a different approach to teams or a tool that sits outside a wider suite. List what matters most to you first.

Can I bring my scheduled posts with me?

Sometimes you can export them, though formats differ. Copy your drafts and queued posts into a spreadsheet before you cancel, so nothing is lost.

Do I need a team plan if I work alone?

Usually not. Solo owners can often manage with a single seat, but check how many accounts and scheduled posts each plan allows.

Is a free plan enough to start with?

For one or two accounts it can be. Read the limits on accounts and scheduled posts, and check the features you need are included, before you rely on it.
