Is LootBar Legit? Top-Ups, Game Keys and Refund Limits (2026)

LootBar looks like a real business: its about page names LOOTBAR PTE. LTD., founded in 2022, as the operator, and says it sells game top-ups, keys and gift cards. The catch is that publishers set the rules for accounts and keys, and I couldn't read LootBar's full refund terms, so check them before you pay.

If you play mobile or PC games, you've probably seen LootBar pop up in a search for cheaper top-ups, and it's fair to wonder whether it's safe to hand over your money and your game details. I've read what LootBar says about itself and what the biggest PC storefront says about keys, so you can judge for yourself.

Who runs LootBar and what it sells

According to LootBar's about page, the operator is LOOTBAR PTE. LTD., founded in 2022. It's a company with a registered name rather than an anonymous shop front, which is the first thing I look for.

The same page says LootBar offers more than 400 digital products. That breaks down into top-ups for 180+ games, game coins and items for 25+ games, 240+ PC and console game keys, 25+ gift card options and a few subscriptions. So it isn't a single-purpose site: it's a broad store for digital game spending.

How a LootBar top-up works

LootBar says its Direct Top-Up needs only a UID or Player ID, a server and a package, with no password. That detail matters. A top-up that asks for your game password is a red flag whoever offers it, so the no-password claim is what you'd want to see.

  • You pick the game and the package you want.
  • You enter your UID or Player ID and choose your server.
  • You pay with one of the listed methods.
  • The top-up lands in your game account, usually without you leaving the game.

LootBar's page says 98% of orders are delivered within three minutes. That's the company's own figure, not an independent measurement, so treat it as what LootBar aims for rather than a promise about your order.

Payments and refunds on LootBar

The about page lists cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna, plus some regional options, and says payments use SSL encryption. Paying by card or PayPal gives you a route to dispute a charge through your provider if something goes wrong, which is worth having.

On refunds, the page says that if an eligible order isn't delivered, LootBar provides a 100% refund in line with its Refund Policy. That's a clear promise, but notice the word eligible. I couldn't load the full Refund Policy to read what counts as eligible, so I can't tell you the time limits or exclusions. Read that page before your first order, and keep your order number and screenshots.

What Valve's rules mean for LootBar game keys

Game keys are where buyers get caught out, and it's down to the platform that owns the game, not the shop. Valve's Steam Subscriber Agreement says you may not sell or charge others for the right to use your account, and that subscriptions aren't transferable. It also says the original activation key can't be registered to any other account.

The agreement also says Valve may terminate your access if you use IP proxying or other methods to disguise where you live. So if a key is meant for one region and you work around that, you're taking a risk with your account, not just a refund. Valve adds that if you buy from an authorized reseller of Valve, you take key questions to that reseller, and that it makes no promises about any third party site.

One gap: Valve's agreement doesn't spell out what happens to keys bought from unauthorized third parties, and I haven't seen LootBar's own page say it's an authorized Valve reseller. I wouldn't assume that. If you're buying keys, check the region and platform on the product page, and don't try to get round a game's rules.

What to watch for with LootBar

What I checkedWhat the pages say
Who operates it?LOOTBAR PTE. LTD., founded in 2022
Does a top-up need my password? No, only UID or Player ID, server and package
How does it take payment?Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and regional options
Is there a refund promise?A full refund for an eligible order that isn't delivered
Could a key be restricted?Platform rules decide, so check region and account

Here's my short list of things to keep in mind:

  • Never give anyone your game password or a verification code for a top-up.
  • Check the region on every product before you pay.
  • Screenshot your order page and keep your confirmation email.
  • Don't treat a cheap price as proof that a key is right for your account.
  • If a promotion catches your eye, read what it covers before you rely on it.

Fake LootBar sites and support scams

Any busy game store attracts lookalikes. Type the address yourself rather than tapping a link in an ad or message, and check the spelling of the domain before you log in. LootBar's own site is at lootbar.com, and the older lootbar.gg address redirects to it.

Be wary of anyone on social media offering to top up your account for a private bank transfer or gift cards. If you want a refresher on spotting fakes, my guide to spotting a fake product review covers the same instincts, and where to check shop reviews shows what to look at before you buy anywhere new.

My verdict on LootBar

From what I could read, LootBar is a real, registered company that sells what it says it sells, and its top-up method doesn't need your password. That's a decent start. The unanswered part is the detail of its refund terms, and with keys you're always dependent on the game platform's rules. Start with a small order, pay by a method that lets you dispute a charge, and keep your game accounts safe.
