Is TripleTen Legit? Owner, Refund Rules and Job Promise (2026)

TripleTen is a real online tech bootcamp owned by Nebius Group, a Nasdaq-listed company, and it works with academic partners SNHU and UNM Continuing Education. The catch is in the small print: refunds stop after the first 14 days, and its tuition-back promise only applies if you meet every condition, including being a US resident.

Career-change bootcamps sell a big promise: learn to code or analyse data in months and land a new job. That's why I always look past the adverts to the terms. Here's what TripleTen's own pages say about who runs it, what you get, how you pay and when you can get your tuition back.

Who owns TripleTen?

TripleTen describes itself as a career learning platform. According to Wikipedia, it's a subsidiary of Nebius Group, a technology company headquartered in Amsterdam whose shares trade on Nasdaq under the ticker NBIS. So there's a listed parent company behind it, with public accounts and investors watching.

TripleTen also names two academic partners on its FAQ: Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and University of New Mexico Continuing Education. Partners aren't the same as accreditation, and TripleTen's FAQ doesn't claim to be accredited, so if you need university credit, ask the partner directly what counts.

What TripleTen teaches and how long it takes

TripleTen's programs are part-time and online, built around tech roles that companies hire for. Its FAQ lists these lengths:

TripleTen programLength on its FAQ
AI Systems Engineering9 months
AI and Machine Learning9 months
AI Software Engineering7 months
Cybersecurity7 months
Quality Assurance5 months
Data Analytics4 months
AI Automation4 months

Those are long commitments next to a day job, so be realistic about the hours you can give each week. If you're still choosing a direction, my look at which programming languages are worth learning first can help you work out where you want to end up before you sign anything.

How paying for TripleTen works

TripleTen's FAQ lists upfront payment, installment plans and financing. Loans come through its partners Climb Credit and Edly, and some are fully deferred, which means no payments until you finish the program.

Deferred doesn't mean free. A loan is still debt, and the terms come from the lender, not from TripleTen, so read the lender's agreement on interest and repayment before you accept. Prices vary by program, so get the exact figure for the course you want in writing.

TripleTen's refund rules

This is the part to read twice. TripleTen's FAQ says you get a full refund if you withdraw within the first 14 days of your start date. After that, you're not eligible for a refund. Its Terms and Conditions hold the full details.

So the first fortnight is your trial. Use it to check the workload, the support and whether the teaching style suits you. If you're unsure, decide before day 14 rather than hoping it gets easier.

Does TripleTen's job promise hold up?

TripleTen's money-back promise says you get your tuition back if you're not hired within 10 months of graduation. To qualify, its FAQ says you must:

  • Complete the program, including career counselling and the Active Job Search period.
  • Actively apply to relevant roles and track your applications.
  • Be a US resident.

Those conditions matter. Miss part of the job search period or stop logging applications and you may not qualify, and if you live outside the US the promise doesn't apply to you at all. The full rules are in TripleTen's Terms of Use, so read them before you rely on the promise to justify the cost.

What to weigh before you enrol in TripleTen

On paper, TripleTen is a real business with a listed owner and published terms, so it isn't a scam. Whether it's right for you depends on things only you can judge. Here's how I'd think it through:

  • Can you keep up the weekly hours for the full length of the program?
  • Would a free or low-cost course teach you enough to test your interest first?
  • Are you comfortable with the loan terms if you finance it?
  • Do you meet every condition for the tuition-back promise?
  • Will employers in your area value the skills more than the certificate?

It's also worth looking at how AI is changing the jobs you're training for. My guide to AI coding assistants shows the tools junior developers now work alongside, which is useful context whichever course you pick.

Who TripleTen is likely to suit

From what its own pages describe, TripleTen is built for people who want structure and a set end date rather than a pile of videos to watch whenever. The programs are part-time, so they're aimed at people holding down a job or caring for family while they retrain. That's a good fit if you like deadlines and someone checking your progress, and a poor fit if your weeks are unpredictable.

It's also worth thinking about your goal. If you want a career change into a tech role, the job search support and the tuition-back promise are the parts you're paying for. If you only want a skill for your own business, such as handling your own data or automating admin, a shorter course or free material might get you there without the commitment or the loan.

Spotting fake TripleTen offers

Big education brands attract copycats. Be wary of anyone who messages you with a special TripleTen deal, asks you to pay through a personal account or promises a job in exchange for a fee. Go to TripleTen's own website and use its admissions team, and check that any loan offer comes from the named lending partners.
