Is G2G Legit? GamerProtect, Refunds and Seller Risks (2026)

Yes, G2G is a real platform run by the company GAMER2GAMER GLOBAL, with its principal office in Singapore. Its GamerProtect escrow holds your payment until you confirm delivery. The catch is that G2G says each sale is a contract between you and an individual seller, and GamerProtect isn't a product guarantee.

G2G is one of those names that keeps coming up when gamers hunt for game coins, accounts, gift cards or top-ups, and the first question is always whether it's safe to hand over money. I've read G2G's terms and its help centre end to end, so what follows is what G2G itself says, not forum rumour. Treat it as a guide to the questions worth asking, not a promise of how any one order will go.

Who runs G2G and what you can buy there

G2G's Terms of Service are between you and GAMER2GAMER GLOBAL Pte. Ltd., and they give its principal office as being in Singapore. The agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore. That's a named company with a stated address, which is more than you can say for many sites that pop up in gaming ads.

G2G describes itself as an online platform for all things gaming. Its digital products are grouped into Gaming, Software & Apps, Retail, Payment Cards and Telco. In practice you're buying from independent sellers who list things on G2G, rather than from G2G itself. Hold that thought, because it shapes everything else on this page.

How GamerProtect escrow works on G2G

The feature G2G leans on is GamerProtect. Its help centre calls it an escrow system: your payment is held and isn't released to the seller straight away. The money stays secured until you confirm you've received what the seller promised, and the payment is released once delivery is verified.

G2G's page on what GamerProtect covers adds some detail. Sellers must provide proof of delivery for every completed order, and G2G lists security measures including SSL encryption, eKYC identity verification, automated risk checks and manual reviews. If there's a dispute, both sides submit evidence such as screenshots, chat records and delivery proof, and customer support reviews it and makes a decision.

It also matters what GamerProtect isn't. G2G says it isn't a product guarantee, that G2G doesn't guarantee a product's quality, performance or future condition, and that sellers stay responsible for the accuracy and condition of their listings. Each sale is a direct contract between buyer and seller, with G2G providing the platform and help resolving disputes.

What I checkedWhat G2G's own pages say
Who operates it?GAMER2GAMER GLOBAL Pte. Ltd., principal office in Singapore
How is my money handled?Held in escrow by GamerProtect until you confirm delivery
Is it a quality guarantee? No, G2G says it doesn't guarantee a product's quality or future condition
Who is responsible for a listing? The seller, under a direct contract with you
What is excluded?Buyer's remorse, game developer changes after delivery, deals made outside G2G
How do refunds come back?As store credit, except in Singapore

The G2G dispute and refund process

If an order goes wrong, G2G's dispute article gives a clear route. You open the order page, select Report and choose a reason. Then you allow 48 hours for the seller to respond or offer a fix, and it recommends messaging the seller in chat first. If the seller stays silent, you select Escalate to G2G to request an investigation.

Pay attention to the clock. G2G says the case closes automatically if you don't appeal within 48 hours of the seller's response, or don't escalate within 48 hours of their silence. It also says the Report button isn't available for completed orders, so after completion you need to submit a ticket or email [email protected]. That's why I'd never click Confirm Received before you've checked what you bought. G2G's own help page advises the same.

On refunds, G2G's store credit page says refunds, except in Singapore, are paid as store credit rather than cash. It adds that store credit from order refunds can be returned to your original payment method by contacting support, but only if you haven't used it, and partial withdrawals aren't supported. So if you want cash back, don't spend the credit.

What G2G says can go wrong, and what to do about it

Because sellers are individuals, the risk with G2G sits in the thing you buy, particularly accounts. G2G's trading safety guidelines list what to do and not do, and they're worth reading in full. Here's the gist:

  • Don't return in-game items under any circumstances.
  • Don't conduct transactions outside G2G, and don't trust sellers who redirect you to other websites.
  • Don't share your G2G account information with any seller.
  • Don't click suspicious links or attachments.
  • Do buy accounts that include recovery access.
  • Do report inappropriate seller behaviour to [email protected] with proof, your order number and a short summary.

Since a seller is a stranger, check their feedback with care, the same way you would on any resale site. My guide to spotting a fake product review is useful here, because glowing but vague feedback is a warning sign everywhere.

Also remember that a game publisher's rules sit above any platform's. Buying accounts or currency can be against a game's terms, and G2G says GamerProtect doesn't cover changes made by game developers after delivery. Check the rules of your game before you buy, and I'd never encourage breaking them.

Who can use G2G and how seller checks work

G2G's terms say the services are intended for people 18 years of age or older. They permit younger users only with a parent or legal guardian's express permission, so check the terms before a teenager buys anything.

On the seller side, G2G's identity verification article asks for a valid government-issued ID and says only physical documents are accepted. That's one of the checks G2G mentions alongside eKYC in its GamerProtect description. It makes it harder for a seller to vanish, but it doesn't remove the risk of a bad listing.

Fake G2G sites and imposter sellers

A well-known gaming name attracts copycats. The rule in G2G's own guidance is simple: keep the whole deal inside G2G. If someone messages you in-game, on social media or by email and offers a better price outside the platform, you lose escrow and the dispute process, and G2G says transactions made outside the platform aren't covered.

  • Type the address yourself rather than following a link in a message or ad.
  • Never give a seller your G2G login or any verification code.
  • Treat anyone who asks you to pay by bank transfer, gift card or crypto outside the order as a scammer.
  • Use the support route inside your G2G account, not numbers posted in comments.

Where I land on G2G

It's a real platform with a named Singapore operator, a written dispute process and an escrow system, so I wouldn't call it a scam. But the protection is narrower than people assume. You're buying from individual sellers, GamerProtect isn't a product guarantee, deadlines are short, and refunds usually return as store credit. Read the game's rules, keep everything on the platform, check what you receive before confirming, and only spend what you can afford to lose.
