Is FlightNetwork Legit? Booking Role, Changes and Refunds (2026)

Yes, Flight Network is a real flight booking site: its own pages say it has operated since 2005 and is part of Etraveli Group. The catch is that it describes itself as an intermediary, so your flight contract is with the airline, and refunds and changes follow the airline's fare rules.

Booking flights through a site you don't know can feel risky, especially when the price looks lower than the airline's. People type in whether FlightNetwork is legit because they want to know who they're paying and who sorts it out when a flight goes wrong. I read its own travel conditions, privacy policy and about page, and I've kept to what they say.

Who owns and runs FlightNetwork

The site's about page says that since 2005 its goal has been to help people travel without the hassle, and that Flight Network is part of Etraveli Group. It describes the group as the largest technology company selling flights in Europe, operating in 75 countries and serving over 40 million travelers each year. Those are the company's own claims, so treat them as that.

The privacy policy backs up the ownership point. It says the website is operated by Flight Network Ltd, which is part of the Etraveli Group, and it names Etraveli Group AB as the data controller. A named operator, a group behind it and published terms are good signs for a booking site.

What FlightNetwork does with your booking

This is the key idea. FlightNetwork's travel conditions say that for flights, hotels, insurance, train and car rental it provides travel mediation services only, acting as an intermediary between you and the service provider. The agreement for your flight comes into effect directly between you and the airline, and the operating airline is solely responsible for performing the flight.

That's normal for an online travel agent, but it changes who you ask for help. The terms say Flight Network accepts no contractual responsibility for whether your flight is performed, and responsibility for the travel service rests with the airline. Hotels are booked with Booking.com and car rental with Rentalcars.com, and queries on those go to those companies. If you're also weighing up a trip, my ChatGPT prompts for planning a trip on a small budget can help you map out the extras.

Refunds and changes with FlightNetwork

Before you book, the airline's terms and fare rules are made available. The travel conditions say you should treat every reservation as non-refundable and non-changeable unless it's clearly disclosed otherwise, and any refund or change entitlement is in the fare rules.

When you want to change or cancel, the airline sets the conditions. As an extra service, Flight Network offers to handle the request for you if the airline's conditions allow it, and a list of its fees is in the terms. It also says it needs your change request at least 24 hours before travel starts. For anything shorter, it recommends contacting the airline directly.

  • Read the fare rules on the booking screen before you pay.
  • Remember that handling a change or refund request for you can carry a fee.
  • Ask for changes early, because the 24 hour limit is firm.
  • If you can't reach FlightNetwork in time, contact the airline directly.

When an airline cancels or changes your flight

FlightNetwork's terms deal with this directly. If the airline changes the timetable, it says it won't charge a fee for rebooking you onto the airline's option. If the airline cancels, it says it won't charge a fee for your cancellation refund request. If you ask it to find a different flight beyond the airline's offer, it will handle that where the airline's conditions allow, and its fees apply.

The terms also say flight times can change between booking and travel, so you're expected to check your booking and contact your airline at least 72 hours before departure. If an airline cancels or you want to claim for a disruption, my guide on how long you have to claim after a flight cancellation explains the timing.

What I checkedWhat FlightNetwork's pages say
OperatorFlight Network Ltd, part of Etraveli Group
Its roleAn intermediary; the flight contract is with the airline
Refunds and changesSet by the airline's fare rules; reservations are non-refundable unless disclosed
Airline cancellationNo fee charged for your refund request
Change requestsNeeded at least 24 hours before travel starts

The FlightNetwork Flexible Ticket

There's an optional product called the Flexible Ticket. FlightNetwork's terms say it lets you change the date or time of your booking, as long as rebooking is done at least 24 hours before the original departure time. It's its own service, so you can't use it by contacting the airline directly. Read its exclusions before you add it, because it only applies in the situations the terms list.

The catch with FlightNetwork

The main catch isn't hidden. You pay a booking site, but your relationship for the flight itself is with the airline, so a disruption means dealing with both. Fees may also apply when the site handles a change for you. Also, if you don't get your booking confirmation email within one hour, the terms say to contact it by telephone or chat, so don't leave an unconfirmed booking sitting overnight.

Fake flight sites and phishing

Because flight bookings are expensive, scammers copy travel brands. Use the official site, check the address yourself and never pay through a link in an unexpected message. Be especially careful with emails saying your ticket has a problem and asking you to re-enter payment details. Contact details on the real site, or in your booking confirmation, are safer than numbers in search ads.

My verdict on FlightNetwork

It looks like a legitimate online flight seller with a named group behind it, so I wouldn't call it a scam. What matters is understanding its role. It sells and arranges tickets, but the airline's fare rules decide what you can change or get back. Read those, keep your confirmation and book changes early.
