Is Cider Legit? Returns, Delivery and Fake Sites (2026)

Cider is a real online women's fashion shop with published returns and shipping policies, so the checkout itself isn't the worry. What catches people out is the small print: a 14 day return window, no exchanges, Final Sale items you can't send back, and a restocking fee taken from refunds. Always buy through Cider's own site or app.

Cider keeps turning up in my social feeds, and the same question follows it around: is Cider legit, or is it one of those shops where the photos look lovely and the parcel never arrives? I can't tell you how any single order will go, but I can read what Cider's own pages promise and flag where the rules are stricter than they first look.

What Cider is and how an order works

Cider sells women's clothing, shoes and accessories through its own website and app, with sections such as Clothing, Curve, Shoes and Accessories and Bags on its homepage. It's a shop with its own checkout, not an open selling site where strangers list items, which matters when something goes wrong because there's one company to contact.

I haven't found a source reliable enough to say who owns Cider or where it's based, so I won't guess. What I can do is show you what the shop itself commits to in writing.

Cider delivery times and what the shipping page says

Cider's shipping page says standard shipping takes 7 to 11 days, and that in-stock orders need an extra 1 to 3 days for warehouse processing. It also lists Flash Shipping, which targets delivery within 4 days, though it warns that some sizes and colours may not qualify. So a delivery estimate is a target, not a promise.

The same page says that, because of extended customs clearance times, shipping may be delayed, and it tells you to contact customer service if you need help. You can follow your parcel from the order list page on the site, and pre-order items show an estimated delivery date on each product page.

  • PO Box addresses are accepted only in the United States, and only with standard shipping.
  • APO, FPO and DPO addresses are not supported.
  • Pre-order items have their own dates, so a mixed basket can take longer than you expect.

Import charges on Cider orders

This is where Cider's own pages disagree with each other, so please read the one for your country. The shipping page I read says Cider covers all applicable customs duties and that you pay only the sales tax shown at checkout. Other regional versions of Cider's help pages describe duties differently, with some saying they vary by country and item.

My advice is simple. Look at the total on the final checkout screen, screenshot it, and don't assume anything extra will or won't be charged on delivery. If a courier asks you for a payment link you didn't expect, stop and ask Cider's support before you pay anything.

Cider returns: the rules that matter most

Cider's returns page gives you a maximum of 14 days from the date you received all your purchased items, and the return package must be mailed within 7 days of submitting your request. That's tighter than many shops, so check your order the week it lands.

  • Items must be unworn and in the original condition with packaging and all tags attached.
  • Swimwear needs its hygiene stickers intact.
  • Final Sale items can't be returned or refunded.
  • Cider says it doesn't offer exchanges at the moment, so you'd place a new order instead.
  • A restocking fee applies per parcel and is deducted from your refund.
  • Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable.

Notice what that means in practice. A cheap top you return might leave you with a refund smaller than you expected, because of the restocking fee and the unrefunded delivery charge. That's not a trick, it's written on the page, but plenty of people don't read it until after the parcel is gone.

How Cider refunds reach you

According to the returns page, refunds go back to the original payment method, and card refunds are sent to your issuing bank within 5 business days. Your bank then takes its own time to show the credit, which is where a lot of impatience comes from. Orders paid only with store credit are treated as Final Sale, which is worth knowing before you use a credit balance on something you're unsure about.

Cider quality and what to expect from the product

A lot of reviews of fast fashion come down to fit, fabric and expectations, and none of Cider's policy pages can settle that for you. The sensible approach is to treat your first order as a trial. Pick one or two things, read the fabric details on the product page, check the size guide against a garment you already own, and keep the packaging until you're sure.

Spotting fake Cider sites and messages

Popular brands get copied, and shoppers searching for a discount are easy targets. Cider's real shop is the one you reach by typing the address yourself or using the official app. Be wary of ads or messages that send you to a near-identical address, ask you to pay by bank transfer or gift card, or promise an unbelievable discount for a limited time.

  • Pay only at Cider's own checkout, never to a seller or a person messaging you.
  • Don't click delivery links in texts you weren't expecting. Open the order list on the site instead.
  • If a site looks like Cider but the web address is slightly off, close it.
  • Use a card or payment method with buyer protection, and keep your order emails.

Is Cider legit, then?

From what its own pages say, Cider is a real shop with a stated process for delivery, returns and refunds. The risks are the ordinary ones with fast fashion: delivery estimates that slip, quality that varies, and return rules that cost you something. If you're comfortable with those, buy from the official site and read the returns page before you check out. If you'd rather not risk a Final Sale item, stick to ones you can send back.
