YesStyle is a real online shop for Asian fashion and beauty, run by YesStyle.com Ltd in Hong Kong and opened by YesAsia in 2006. Its help pages explain returns, lost parcels and customs refunds. The catches are that refunds default to store credit, several categories can't be returned, and you may owe import charges.
YesStyle is the shop people find when they search for a Korean skincare product or a jacket they saw on social media, then wonder whether an overseas site will deliver. It's a fair worry, so I've read YesStyle's own returns, customs and terms pages to see what it promises and where the small print bites.
Who runs YesStyle
Wikipedia describes YesStyle as the sister website of YesAsia, which opened it in 2006 as a fashion shop and now sells Asian fashion, beauty and lifestyle products sourced from Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. YesStyle's own site terms name YesStyle.com Ltd. as the operator and say it's located in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
In other words, this isn't an anonymous pop-up store. It has a named company, long-standing help pages and a clear process. Unlike a site full of unknown sellers, you're buying from one retailer's own catalogue, which makes it easier to know who to contact.
How ordering works on YesStyle
The site terms list credit cards, PayPal and Alipay as payment forms and say no other payment form is taken unless the site expressly sets it out. That's a handy safety check. If someone claiming to be YesStyle asks you to pay by bank transfer or gift card, it isn't how the real site works.
The terms also say YesStyle may cancel an order for items listed at the wrong price, with incorrect information or that are unavailable, even after confirmation or after payment has been charged. That's a standard clause on shopping sites, but it explains the odd cancelled-order email.
YesStyle returns and exchanges
YesStyle's returns page says you must request an RMA number within 14 days of receiving your items, then ship the return within 30 days of the RMA issue date. Items need to be in original condition, with the original packaging and tags. For an unwanted item or size exchange you can start the request in My Account; for defective or incorrect items the page says to go through Customer Service, ideally with photos of the problem.
The list of things you can't send back is long enough that I'd read it before ordering:
- Opened beauty products and health and beauty supplements.
- Buy 1 Get 1 Free items and Lucky Bundle or Lucky Deals.
- Clearance items.
- Products labelled on their own page as not eligible for return, exchange or refund.
- Hygiene-sensitive items such as swimwear, underwear, earrings and wigs.
Returns for suspected allergic reactions or adverse skin conditions aren't refunded, according to the same page. If you have sensitive skin, patch test and read the ingredients before you open anything.
How YesStyle refunds work
This is where YesStyle differs from many shops. The returns page says the default refund is YesStyle Credit, usually issued within 7 days of the return being processed. If you want money back to a specific payment method, you need to tell Customer Service when you request the return, and your bank may take up to 14 business days or longer to show it. Promo discounts and shipping and handling charges aren't refundable.
YesStyle's site terms go further and say it doesn't provide cash refunds to customers, with refunds issued as credit for other purchases on the site. The two pages don't line up perfectly, so ask for the payment method refund in writing at the start and keep the reply.
What happens if a YesStyle parcel is lost or flawed
The YesStyle Promise page says that if an order doesn't arrive within the estimated time, you should contact Customer Service, and lost shipments will be reshipped without extra handling or shipping fees. For defective or flawed items it says YesStyle will arrange a free return or replacement. It also promises email replies within 2 business days, and it gives 14 days to send a purchase back.
For defective items, the returns page adds that return shipping is refunded as YesStyle Credit within 7 days of receiving the return if you used Air Mail or Registered Mail. Courier and Express Mail aren't covered, so check the shipping method before you post anything.

YesStyle customs duties and import taxes
YesStyle ships from Hong Kong and its customs page says customers must first settle customs fees with their local customs department or courier. It offers a refund of customs taxes, import duties, VAT and brokerage fees on orders under 1,000 US dollars, but you need to pay first, keep the receipt and send the claim within 30 days of the payment receipt date. The refund comes as YesStyle Credit.
Sales tax, GST, VAT and PST on orders to several destinations, including the US, the UK and the EU, are excluded from that refund. If you refuse a parcel over customs, YesStyle says it isn't responsible for a refund or reshipment. I can't tell you what you'll owe, because it depends on your country, so check your customs authority's website.
Spotting fake YesStyle messages and sites
Because YesStyle is popular, copycats follow. Go to the site by typing the address yourself, check that payments run through the options in the terms, and be careful with texts about parcels or refunds that link to a payment page. YesStyle's customs page says you pay customs charges to your customs department or courier, so treat any message asking for a separate card payment with suspicion and check your order in My Account first.

Is YesStyle worth ordering from?
YesStyle is a real retailer with documented rules, and its help pages are clearer than most. The honest caveats are the credit-first refunds, the long non-returnable list and the import charges that may land on your doorstep. My advice is to read the product page for any return exclusions, order a few items at a time, and keep your order emails. If you're also weighing up secondhand fashion apps, my guide to selling on Vinted and my check on whether Depop is legit cover that side of things.
