Yes, TikTok Shop is live in Thailand, but individual sellers must be Thai nationals aged at least 20 and companies must be registered with the Thai Ministry of Commerce. There's no route I can find for an overseas seller without a Thai company.
Thailand is a country where you can say 'yes' to the question and then immediately have to ask a second one: yes for whom? TikTok's Thailand pages draw a firm line between Thai nationals, Thai companies and everyone else. Before you spend an afternoon photographing paperwork, it's worth knowing which side of that line you're on.
Thailand is on TikTok's seller list
The official TikTok Shop seller site lists Thailand in its Asia section, alongside Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Japan. TikTok also says that to sell in several countries you register for each region separately, because the shop works locally in each one. So a Thai shop is its own account, with its own checks.
If you're an individual: Thai nationality and the age of 20
TikTok's Thailand registration guidelines allow only Thai nationals holding a government-issued ID to register as individual sellers. The age limit is 20, which TikTok says follows Thai law. That's higher than the 18 you'll see in many other countries, so anyone younger than that can't register as an individual seller there.
The ID has to be a Thai national ID card, with the front fully visible, and it must not expire while you're selling. The name on it must match the seller account name. For the money side, TikTok asks for a copy of the full first page of your bankbook, and the account name must match the name on the ID.
Search results for this topic sometimes mention a version of the page that allows permanent residents with a Thai ID. The guidelines I opened say Thai nationals only. TikTok changes these pages, so check the live version before you rely on either reading.
If you're a company: Ministry of Commerce papers
Corporate sellers must be companies established in Thailand and registered with the Thai Ministry of Commerce. TikTok wants a business licence, company registration or a similar official document, issued by the Ministry of Commerce, and the business scope and operating period have to match what's on the paperwork.
A verified business can register up to five seller accounts. The legal representative, director or authorised signatory provides a government-issued ID, and the representative's name on the registration documents has to match the seller account. TikTok may also ask you to prove beneficial ownership. The bank account must be a business account in the organisation's name.
Why a foreign owner is stuck unless there's a Thai company
Nothing on those pages creates a route for an overseas individual to sell from abroad. The corporate route needs a company established in Thailand, and TikTok's general rules say you must live in the country you choose for your shop. If you run a business elsewhere and want Thai shoppers, you'd need a Thai entity or a Thai partner, and that's a legal and tax question for a local adviser, not me.
What gets applications rejected
- Names that don't match across the ID, bankbook and account. The most common slip, and it's an easy one to avoid.
- Poor images. TikTok rejects blurred, black-and-white, angled or cropped photos and wants PNG or JPG files with simple filenames.
- Expired documents. Your ID must stay valid for as long as you trade.
- Being under investigation or enforcement by an authority, which includes pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes.
- Selling restricted brands from an individual account. Those need a corporate account and brand authorisation papers.
Shop names and categories
The page tells sellers to keep shop names free of prohibited or unsupported product names and points to separate restricted and prohibited product policies. It doesn't list permitted categories itself, so read those policies before you plan stock. I'd rather you spend ten minutes there than lose a listing after you've invested in inventory.
Baht, payouts and what I couldn't confirm
Thailand's currency is the baht, ISO code THB, issued by the Bank of Thailand and divided into 100 satang. The registration guidelines I read don't mention the settlement currency or timing, so I'm not going to quote either. You'll see your payout terms in the seller centre.

Thai creators and affiliate earnings
TikTok Shop affiliate creators collect rewards on products sold through their videos, LIVE streams and product showcase, without holding inventory, and the earnings are for people aged 18 and over. I didn't find a Thailand-specific follower threshold on a TikTok page, so I won't invent one. The Creator Rewards Program, a separate scheme, isn't open in Thailand: it covers the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil.

Frequently asked questions
Is TikTok Shop available in Thailand?
Yes. Thailand is on the region menu of TikTok's seller site, and TikTok publishes registration guidelines for Thai individual and corporate sellers.
What age do you need to be to sell on TikTok Shop in Thailand?
TikTok's Thailand guidelines say individual sellers must be at least 20 years old, because Thai law sets that age.
Can a foreigner sell on TikTok Shop Thailand?
Individual registration is for Thai nationals only in the guidelines I read, and companies must be registered with the Thai Ministry of Commerce. TikTok also says you must live in the country you pick.
What documents do Thai individual sellers need?
A Thai national ID card with the name matching the seller account, plus the full first page of a bankbook whose account name matches the ID.
Does TikTok Shop pay Thai sellers in baht?
I couldn't confirm the payout currency from the registration pages. The baht (THB) is Thailand's currency, and the seller centre shows your payout terms.
