Startup blogs that accept guest posts are a focused niche, and nearly all of them are still live. On my list, re-checked live in September 2026, 16 sites are startup blogs: 15 were live and 9 had a domain authority of 40 or more. Examples include startupnation.com, killerstartups.com and startupbros.com. Check each site's current guidelines before you pitch.

Startup sites cover new companies: launches, funding, growth, tools and the founders behind them. Their readers include founders, early employees, investors and the people selling to them.

I pulled these out of my list by reading each site's name and focus. They're the sites that write about startups first, rather than business in general.

This page pulls the startup sites out of my free list of websites that accept guest posts, which I re-checked site by site in September 2026.

Only one of the 16 startup sites was dead or parked. More than half of the live sites (9 of 15) had a domain authority of 40 or more. Many of these sites also review new products, so a launch story with a real product behind it suits them.

Which startup blogs accept guest posts?

  • techstartups.com: DA 51
  • startupstash.com: DA 49

One live startup site on my list had no DA score recorded, so it's counted above but not listed. Guidelines change, so read each site's current write for us page before you pitch.

Launch news, founder advice or tools?

Startup sites want different posts:

  • Launch and news sites want announcements and short features about new companies.
  • Founder advice blogs want lessons on building, hiring, funding and selling.
  • Tool and resource sites want reviews and roundups of products startups use.
  • Tech startup sites want posts on technology companies and the markets they target.

SaaS products and services for founders fit the tool and advice sites. A new startup with a launch story should start with the launch and news sites.

What do startup editors want?

A story with a hook. Startup editors get launch announcements every day, so they want the reason this one matters: a problem nobody solved, a surprising early result or a founder with an unusual background.

They also want founders' honesty. Advice posts work best when they include the decision you got wrong and what you'd do now.

Free guest post or sponsored post on a startup blog?

Advice blogs often take free posts from founders and operators. Launch and tool sites are more mixed, and many offer sponsored features. Sponsored posts are the dependable route when a launch date is fixed.

How do you check a startup blog before you pitch?

  • Search site:domain.com. If very few pages come up, move on.
  • Read the three newest posts. Is the site still publishing, and who writes for it?
  • Check what they cover. A site for tech startups seeking investment won't want a post about a local shop opening.
  • Find a name. A real editor you can email beats a form that never replies.
  • Ask if posts are permanent. Some sites prune old content in clean-ups.

My free domain authority checker gives you a quick read on a site's strength, and these guest post pitch examples show what editors say yes to. Startups overlap with entrepreneurship and technology, so my technology blogs that accept guest posts and business blogs that accept guest posts pages are the next places to look.

How should you pitch a startup blog?

Lead with what's new and why it matters. "How a two-person team got its first enterprise customer without a sales hire" is a pitch. "Our startup story" isn't.

Give the editor what they need: the company, the stage, the market and the founder in a few lines.

Keep the link earned. One link to the product or a useful resource is fine on a launch feature. A link stuffed into an advice post isn't.

My advice

Send launch news to the launch sites and lessons to the advice blogs, and never mix the two in one pitch. It's the mistake I see founders make most.

Can you place a startup post on my blog?

Yes, when it's about marketing or growth: getting first customers, launch marketing, content, social and the tools startups use. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and my readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs, mostly in the USA and the UK. Funding and product news suit the sites above. Guidelines are on my startup write for us page.

How placing a post on my blog works

  1. Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
  2. I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
  3. You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
  4. I edit, publish and send you the live URL.

Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.

If you're weighing up where to place a post, how buying a guest post on my blog works explains what you get and what I turn down.

Placing a startup post? Email [email protected] with your target URL, topic and niche, or start on my write for me page. Agencies and repeat buyers are welcome.
