You get paid on TikTok through the Creator Rewards Program, which pays into a PayPal account (the transfer is handled by Hyperwallet) on the 15th of each month once your rewards reach the $50.00 minimum, as of November 2026. You can only join if you're based in one of the eight countries on TikTok's own list: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil.
There's no button that turns views into cash. Money arrives through a programme, and that programme has a fixed route: join, link an account in your name, hand over tax information, then wait for the calendar. TikTok doesn't publish a rate per view or per follower on any of its own pages, so I won't guess one here. If the rate question is what's nagging you, I've covered why there's no official figure in this look at what TikTok pays per 1,000 views. This page is about the plumbing: how the money gets from TikTok to you.
The payout route, in the order it happens
Here's the sequence, taken from TikTok's US Creator Rewards terms and its Creator Academy page, as of November 2026:
- Check you can join. You need to be 18 or over, on a Personal Account (Business Accounts don't qualify), based in a listed country, with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
- Apply in the app. Go to your profile, tap the Menu button, choose TikTok Studio, then Creator Rewards Program. TikTok says you'll hear back within three days. If you're rejected, the terms let you re-apply after 30 days.
- Link a payment account in your own name. The terms call it a Payment Account with an approved third party, and it has to be in good standing with that provider. Someone else's PayPal won't do.
- Finish onboarding, including tax information. The terms say you must complete all onboarding requirements, including providing tax information, to receive rewards.
- Post videos that count. Original content over 1 minute long, with at least 1,000 views on the For You feed. Duets, Stitches, Photo Mode posts, ads and paid promotions don't qualify, and TikTok asks for 1080p or higher.
- Wait for the calculation. Rewards are calculated in the month after you earn them. Fees and any applicable tax are processed first.
- Get paid on the 15th. If what you're owed meets the $50.00 threshold, it becomes redeemable and is paid on the 15th of the month.
- Watch for it to land. The Academy says withdrawals are typically processed within 72 hours to PayPal, Pix or a bank account, but banks can hold the money longer and there's no guarantee.
One detail people miss in step 5: views only count as qualified if they come from the countries where the programme runs, the same eight on the list. A viewer elsewhere still watches your video, they just don't feed the rewards.
Which countries TikTok will pay
TikTok's Creator Academy, last updated on 11 September and checked as of November 2026, says the programme is open to creators in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. You have to be based in one of those countries and have your account registered there.
Canada, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, the Philippines and Pakistan aren't named on the list the page shows. That's all the page says. It doesn't explain why and it doesn't give a date for more countries, so I won't either. If you're in Nigeria, I've gathered what TikTok's pages do and don't offer in my page on whether TikTok pays Nigerian creators.
Please don't go hunting for a workaround. The terms ask you to be a legal resident of a country where the programme is available and to keep your application information truthful and up to date, and a payment account in your own name is part of that.
A second catch: the $50.00 minimum and the 15th come from the US terms, which are run by TikTok USDS Joint Venture. Other countries have their own terms pages, so open the terms for your country inside the app before you plan around those numbers.
The 15th, the $50.00 floor and what happens below it
The 15th is the payment date, not the arrival date. The terms say the time you receive the money depends on the payment service provider. If a transfer fails because of a problem with your payment account, TikTok says it'll contact you to fix the details and retry. I've broken the monthly timing down further in this guide to when TikTok pays you each month.
The part that stings is the floor. If your unpaid rewards don't reach the $50.00 threshold, the terms say the unpaid amount may be deemed expired, at TikTok's discretion. TikTok also reserves the right to change the threshold and to put a monthly or annual cap on what each creator can collect.
The other thing to know is who pays you. TikTok's terms say plainly that TikTok doesn't process the payments itself. PayPal, through Hyperwallet, handles the transaction on your behalf under Hyperwallet's own terms. So if a payout is stuck after the 15th, the provider side is often where the answer sits.
Tax information, fees and paperwork
TikTok's pages say "tax information". They don't name a specific form, so I'm not going to name one for them. You'll see your tax setup and status in your TikTok dashboard during payment setup, and the Academy is clear that TikTok can't give personal tax advice. If you're unsure what applies to you, ask a tax adviser in your own country.

- Withholding: TikTok can hold back any amount it's legally required to pay to a government, and that withheld amount counts as paid to you.
- Your responsibility: the terms put all tax on redeemed rewards on you.
- Transfer fees: fees may be charged on the transfer, and you agree to bear them.
- No invoices: TikTok doesn't issue invoices for Creator Rewards payouts. You can download a statement invoice instead: Profile, Menu, Balance, Monthly Earnings, Transactions, pick the transaction, then Download under Invoice.
LIVE Diamonds is a separate route
If you go LIVE and get gifts, those become Diamonds, and Diamonds have their own payout page. That page applies to users based in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. It doesn't say what applies to US users, so if you're in the US, check the LIVE section of your app rather than borrowing these numbers.
| Route | What TikTok's page says, as of November 2026 |
|---|---|
| Creator Rewards Program (US terms) | Paid on the 15th once you reach $50.00; PayPal via Hyperwallet; transfer fees are yours to bear |
| LIVE Diamonds, minimum payment | $1 by PayPal; $9 by bank transfer in the UK or Germany; $5 by bank transfer in France or Sweden |
| LIVE Diamonds, daily maximum | The equivalent of $1,000 in your local currency |
| LIVE Diamonds, fees | PayPal: 1.5% of the amount plus $0.10; bank transfer: $2.90, taken before the money lands |
TikTok adds that this information is subject to change, so treat the table as a snapshot.
What quietly stops a payout
- Five video violations in the past 30 days makes your account ineligible, and five total account violations makes you permanently ineligible.
- If your account is permanently banned, you forfeit any outstanding rewards. A successful appeal reinstates you automatically.
- You can appeal an ineligible video within 80 days and a disqualified account within 30 days.
- Payment disputes, including accounting or reporting errors, have to be raised within 30 days or they're deemed waived.
- If TikTok decides you were paid rewards you weren't eligible for, it can take that from future rewards, or ask for a refund within 30 days.
If you're still short of the follower count, I've looked at what's open to you in getting paid on TikTok without 10,000 followers.
My verdict
I'd check the country list first, because nothing else matters if your country isn't named on it. Then I'd set up the payment account in your own name and the tax information before your first eligible video goes out, so the 15th isn't wasted on admin. Skip any "cash out your coins" app or service that promises more than TikTok's own pages say. TikTok's route runs through its own dashboard and PayPal via Hyperwallet, and nobody outside that can speed it up.
