To check your likes on X (formerly Twitter), go to your profile and look for the Likes tab. On mobile, tap your profile icon, then find Likes in your profile menu. On desktop, click your profile, then select the Likes tab below your bio. This shows every post you have liked, in order.
Why you might want to check your likes
I check my likes on X every so often. Sometimes I am looking for a post I liked days ago but cannot find again. Other times I want to see what I have been engaging with, because it says something about what I spend my attention on.
Whatever your reason, finding your likes on X is straightforward once you know where to look. The steps differ slightly depending on whether you are on the app or using a browser, so I have covered both below.
Checking your likes on the X mobile app
If you use X on your phone, here is how to find your likes.
- Open the X app and tap your profile picture in the top left corner.
- This opens your profile menu. Look for Likes in the list of options.
- Tap Likes and you will see a timeline of every post you have liked, with the most recent at the top.
On some versions of the app, Likes appears as a tab on your own profile page rather than in the side menu. If you do not see it in the menu, go to your profile and check the row of tabs near the top, next to Posts and Replies.
Checking your likes on X using a desktop browser
On a computer, the process is slightly different because the layout is not the same as the app.
- Log into X on your browser.
- Click your profile icon or name in the left sidebar to go to your profile.
- Below your bio and follower count, you will see a row of tabs: Posts, Replies, Highlights, and Likes.
- Click Likes to see the full list of posts you have liked.
This list loads in reverse chronological order, so your most recent likes sit at the top. If you have liked a lot of posts over the years, you may need to scroll for a while to reach older ones.
Finding a specific liked post
If you are trying to track down one particular post you liked, scrolling through your entire Likes tab can take a long time, especially if you like a lot of content.
There is no built in search function inside the Likes tab itself as far as I have found, so X does not let you search within your likes directly. Your best option is to scroll and look, or try to recall roughly when you liked it so you know how far back to go.
If you remember who posted it, visiting that account's profile and checking their posts from around that time can sometimes be quicker than scrolling your own likes.
Why your likes might not be showing
Occasionally the Likes tab looks empty or will not load. Before assuming something has gone wrong, try these checks.
Refresh the app or the browser page. This solves most loading issues on X, since the Likes tab sometimes just fails to load the first time.
Check your internet connection. A weak or dropped connection can cause the Likes tab to show nothing or to get stuck loading.
Log out and log back in. If refreshing does not help, signing out and back in often resolves display glitches.
Can other people see your likes
This is worth knowing, because it affects how you use the Like button. By default, your Likes tab is visible to anyone who visits your profile, including people who do not follow you.

If your account is set to private, only your approved followers can see your likes, along with the rest of your activity. If your account is public, anyone can see what you have liked, assuming they know to look for the Likes tab.
There is no setting I am aware of that lets you hide your likes while keeping your account public. If you want to keep certain likes private, your only real option is to unlike the post or keep your account set to private.
Managing your likes once you have found them
Once you are looking at your Likes tab, you have a couple of simple options for each post.
To unlike a post, tap or click the heart icon again on that post. This removes it from your Likes tab and removes your like from the original post.
If you want to revisit a liked post later without digging through the tab again, consider using the Bookmark feature instead of relying on likes as a way to save things. Bookmarks are private and searchable within your saved items, which makes them more reliable for finding content again.
A quick note on changes to X over time
X has changed its layout and features more than once since it was Twitter, and menus move around occasionally. The steps above reflect how things work as I write this, but if your app looks different, the Likes tab should still be somewhere on your own profile page, usually near Posts and Replies.
If you cannot find it at all, updating the app to the latest version is worth doing first, since older versions sometimes have outdated menus that do not match current instructions.
