Fivetran alternatives are data integration tools that move data from apps and databases into a warehouse or lake. They split four ways: managed no-code connector services, open source platforms you run yourself, real-time change data capture tools, and services built into one cloud. Ten options follow in no particular order.
Teams usually start looking for another pipeline tool for one of three reasons: they want more control, they need data moving faster, or they've standardised on one cloud and want to stay inside it. Each of those reasons points to a different group below.
The ten tools are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from each vendor's own website, read as of Oct 2026.

Ten data integration and pipeline tools
Azure Data Factory
Best for: Teams already on Microsoft Azure wanting hybrid data integration, with more than 90 built-in connectors and code-free or hand-written ETL and ELT.
Datastream
Best for: Google Cloud users who need serverless change data capture from MySQL, PostgreSQL, AlloyDB or Oracle into BigQuery and lakehouse tables.
Estuary
Best for: Data teams wanting log-based CDC, SaaS and batch data in one event-driven pipeline, syncing each destination anywhere from real time to hourly.
Hevo Data
Best for: Analysts and small data teams who want managed pipelines from 170+ pre-built connectors without writing code, with dbt and SQL transformations.
Integrate.io
Best for: Teams that want ETL, ELT, CDC and reverse ETL from one low-code platform, with an AI assistant called Helm to help build pipelines.
Matillion
Best for: Warehouse teams on Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift wanting AI agents to plan, build, test and fix pipelines, with 150+ connectors.
Meltano
Best for: Data engineers who'd rather own their stack as code, with an open source platform, 600+ connectors and Git-based governance.
Rivery
Best for: Companies wanting cloud ELT with managed API and CDC replication into a lake or warehouse, plus pre-built data model kits.
Skyvia
Best for: Business users and tech teams wanting no-code ELT, reverse ETL and cloud-to-cloud backup in one service from Devart.
Windsor.ai
Best for: Marketers pulling data from 350+ platforms into BI tools, spreadsheets, warehouses and AI chats such as Claude and ChatGPT.
Managed connectors, open source, real-time CDC or one cloud?
Here's what I found reading the vendor pages. On the managed side, Hevo Data says you can set up and maintain pipelines without writing a single line of code, Windsor.ai pulls data from 350+ business platforms, Integrate.io lists ETL, ELT and reverse ETL, Rivery is a cloud ELT tool, and Skyvia combines cloud data integration with backup, access and management.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
At the other end, Meltano calls itself the open source, vendor-neutral platform. For real time, Estuary is one platform for CDC, ETL and streaming pipelines, and Google's Datastream is a change data capture and replication service, while Azure Data Factory targets hybrid data integration at enterprise scale. Matillion has moved furthest: its product was formerly Data Productivity Cloud, and its page now describes an AI team that plans, builds, tests, runs and fixes your pipelines.
Four ways teams replace a managed connector service
- Another managed, no-code service. The closest swap. You pick connectors, set a schedule and the vendor keeps them running. Compare connector lists for the sources you use most.
- Open source you run yourself. More control and your pipelines live in code, but your team owns the hosting and the fixes.
- Real-time change data capture. CDC reads changes straight from a database log, so the warehouse stays close to live. Worth it when dashboards or apps need fresh data.
- Cloud-native services. If you're on one cloud, its own integration service keeps data, permissions and billing in one place, though it ties you to that cloud.
Questions to settle before you migrate pipelines
- Which ten sources matter most? Check each tool's connector for those, not its total connector count.
- How fresh does the data need to be: daily, hourly or near real time?
- Who will look after it? A managed service suits a small team; open source suits engineers who want control.
- Where does it land? Confirm support for your warehouse or lake.
- Do you also need reverse ETL, sending warehouse data back into business tools?
- How will you run old and new pipelines side by side while you check the numbers match?
Most migrations stall on the same problems, and my piece on data integration challenges covers them.

My plain advice on leaving Fivetran
Start with your reason for moving, because it decides the shortlist. If you want the same experience with a different vendor, compare two managed services on your top sources. If you want control, trial the open source route with one pipeline before you commit the team. If freshness is the problem, a CDC tool is the fix. And if you live in one cloud, check its own service first. Run the old and new pipelines in parallel until the row counts match.
Once the data's flowing, my Looker Studio dashboard build checklist helps you report on it, and my guide to customer database software covers where customer records end up.

Frequently asked questions
What's a good alternative to Fivetran?
It depends on why you're moving. Managed no-code services are the closest swap, open source platforms suit teams that want control, CDC tools suit real-time needs, and cloud-native services suit teams on one cloud.
Is there an open source alternative to Fivetran?
Yes. At least one tool on this list is open source and free to use, with pipelines defined as code you control.
What is change data capture?
Change data capture reads inserts, updates and deletes from a database's log and sends them on as they happen, so the destination stays close to real time.
What's the difference between ETL and ELT?
ETL transforms data before loading it into the warehouse. ELT loads raw data first and transforms it inside the warehouse, which is how most modern pipeline tools work.
What is reverse ETL?
Reverse ETL sends data from your warehouse back into business tools such as a CRM or email platform, so teams can act on it.
How long does it take to migrate data pipelines?
It depends on how many sources you have. Moving one source at a time and running old and new side by side until they match is the safest approach.
