Trello Power-Ups (2026): 11 Popular Add-Ons Compared

Trello power ups are add-ons that bring extra features into a board, such as custom fields, timelines, calendar sync, spreadsheet imports and card mirroring. The eleven third-party ones below have the biggest install bands in Trello's own Power-Up directory, from 250,000+ down to 50,000+ as of Oct 2026, and they're listed in no particular order.

A Power-Up is Trello's name for an add-on that lives inside your board. Out of the box, a board is lists and cards. Power-Ups add the things people keep asking for, like a timeline view, a calendar that stays in sync, or a way to change lots of cards at once.

This page sticks to third-party Power-Ups, the ones made outside Trello, and only those with the biggest install bands in the directory. If you're still working out where Trello fits in your wider plans, my guide to a Trello marketing strategy is a good place to start.

How I picked these Power-Ups

Every row comes from Trello's Power-Up directory, as of Oct 2026. I took the third-party Power-Ups with the biggest install bands, 250,000+ down to 50,000+, and described each one from its own listing. The directory shows a band rather than an exact count, and it doesn't show ratings or update dates for these, so you won't see either here. The last column says Not stated on every row because none of these listings names a plan.

Six Power-Ups share the 100,000+ band

Here's what most people don't expect. Only two third-party Power-Ups sit in the top band, 250,000+ installs as of Oct 2026, and six share the 100,000+ band underneath. So a bulk editor, a parcel tracker and a spreadsheet importer sit in the same bracket as a dedicated Gantt scheduling tool.

The bands are wide. A Power-Up listed at 100,000+ could have a lot more installs than that, and the directory doesn't split them any further. Treat the band as a sign that plenty of boards rely on a Power-Up, not as a league table.

One maker turns up twice: Blue Cat is behind both the spreadsheet importer and the lanes Power-Up. If you like how one of theirs works, that's a fair reason to look at the other.

Which kind of Power-Up for which job

  • Your cards need more data: pick a fields and formulas Power-Up rather than stuffing details into card descriptions.
  • You plan by date: pick a calendar or timeline Power-Up, and a calendar sync if your day runs from your calendar.
  • You run sprints: pick an agile add-on with story points and work-in-progress limits.
  • One task touches several teams: pick a card mirroring Power-Up, so there's one card in step everywhere, not three copies drifting apart.
  • Your board's a mess: pick a bulk editing or swimlanes Power-Up before you add anything else.
  • You're moving off a spreadsheet: pick an import Power-Up, so the rows land on the board without retyping.

Before you add one to a shared board

  1. Read the permissions screen when you add it, so you know what it can see.
  2. Add one at a time and give the team a week with it before you add the next.
  3. Agree who owns it. Someone should know why it's there and when to switch it off.
  4. Look at the listing again every few months, because descriptions and plans change.

My plain advice on Trello Power-Ups

Start with the one problem that's slowing your board down and add a single Power-Up for it, not five at once. Every add-on is another thing your team has to learn, so the board should feel simpler afterwards, not busier. If it doesn't, take it off.

If you're still choosing how to run the work itself, my rundown of the most useful project management techniques helps you decide what the board should show before you bolt anything on.

Frequently asked questions

What are Trello Power-Ups?

They're add-ons that bring extra features into a Trello board, such as custom fields, timelines, calendar sync, imports and card mirroring. You add them from Trello's Power-Up directory.

Which Trello Power-Ups have the most installs?

Among third-party Power-Ups, two sit in the top band of 250,000+ installs in Trello's Power-Up directory as of Oct 2026, with six more in the 100,000+ band.

Can I see ratings for Trello Power-Ups?

Not for the ones on this page. The directory shows an install band and a one-line description, so the band is your best guide to how widely a Power-Up is used.

How many Power-Ups should I add to one board?

As few as solve the problem. Add one, let the team use it for a while, and only add another when there's a clear job for it.

Do Power-Ups work across several boards?

Some do. A few on this page are built for views across several boards or for mirroring a card between boards, so check the listing if that's what you need.
